 Cassandra skidded to a halt as soon as she got near Abby. Cassandra wearily stepped out of her tent, and scanned her surroundings. There was only an hour before she was sent back to her tent, but she figured she might as well enjoy the fresh air and do something about her numbing foot. Her brother had been using the charcoal from the fire pit to absentmindedly doodle on the log benches. They sat in silence before Cash finally spoke up. `` I hate it here. ´´ Cash groaned slamming his head into the timber. `` You can say that again! ´´ She exclaimed, crossing her legs. `` I hate it here. ´´ Cash repeated, rubbing the red spot that had formed on his forehead. `` I meant that figuratively. ´´ Cassandra snorted, letting a moment of awkward silence pass them by. `` It's awfully lonely out here, I wish Poppa would just send us back home already. ´´ `` I know! The researcher stumbled towards the router and pressed the power button. Suddenly, the room came to life and the screen lit up. He jogged towards the nearest computer and after a few clicks, he was able to connect with the main Aether headquarters. A window popped up, indicating that the receiving end had picked up his call.  [ name ] josephine dorothea [ gender ] female [ age ] 16 [ gift ] n/a [ appearance ] made with picrew [ personality ] Josephine is an extremely meek, paranoid and fragile individual who suffers from hazardously low self-esteem as a result of severe bullying. She's easily intimidated and constantly worries about boring & offending others. However, when it comes to medical affairs, she acts a lot more confident & bold, as it seems to be a field she's very knowledgeable in. She generally wants to be liked by and help other people, but her utter lack of confidence and wish to not be a bother causes her to rarely assert herself or state her feelings openly; if she feels the need, she will more than likely ask for permission from her peers to do so. Even though does well in her attempts to bottle up all of her anger & hatred, she is prone to bizarre outbursts, however, after a couple of seconds she buries that element of her personality and ends up following it with an apology. Sometimes, it's through these outbursts that her negative traits truly come to light. Josie has been noted to be a really passive person, finding it easier to submit and succumb in order to adapt & live comfortably. Despite this, she has a habit of guilt-tripping others, in order to relieve herself of her wrongs and place that burden upon others. She also has the tendency to jump to conclusions about others, often assuming that they must be judging her, or that said person doesn't deserve to spend time with her. [ history ] Josephine's parents were often absent in her life, and a lot of times, she'd end up unsupervised for days on end. Because of her meek personality, she was often picked on at school. Said bullies would often throw mud at her, draw on her, use her as a target for dart games, and beat her up. Because there was no one to take care of her wounds, Josephine learned to take care, of herself from a very young age. As she became more and more skilled in this area, she took an interest in nursing, realizing that she could have a feeling of control over sick and injured people ー as the weaker people, they would have to depend on her completely and their lives would be in her hands. She began to enter the medical field, in spite of being one of the best in her classes, she was outshone by those gifted with healing abilities. Lieutenant Marcellus Wills - He is one of the many lieutenants in the city X police department and Max's best friend. Oftentimes, he is working alongside Max. He is usually her voice of reason, ensuring that she doesn't do anything stupid on the job. But, because of her reckless reputation, it's obvious that it doesn't always work. roleplayGifted. A name was given to humans born with superpowers, or in their words, Gifts. And, unlike many other stories, where people with superpowers are loved and respected, the Gifted are looked down upon, hated, scorned, by everyone else, except by others like them. The reason? Simple. Humankind, otherwise known as Neophytes; or Phytes for short, hate and scorn the Gifteds, simply because they envy the Gifted. They envy how the Gifted are blessed with power, whilst they watch from the sidelines, only being able to envy the power they hold. They hate them because it isn't fair how they were blessed, whilst they were forgotten. So, they scorn them, because that's the only thing they can do. But, there are some other humans. Humans are fascinated, with the Gifted and the Gifts they have. So, they experiment on them because the Gifted are nothing but a test subject to be taken apart and toyed with. But, with new age, comes new times, and a new age rose for the Gifted. The Government put up rules, stating that no one was allowed to cause any sort of harm to Gifteds. Doing so would result in severe punishment. This resulted in many protests, but soon people came to terms with it. But, some people pay no heed to these rules and instead continue to experiment and discriminate against the Gifteds. After lots of protests from the Gifted along with some kindhearted humans, the government began to take action and forced the public to stop the discrimination and experiments on Gifted. And, so the discrimination lessened and the Gifted were happy. But, as the saying goes, Happiness never lasts. Many Gifted began to disappear mysteriously, with no trace left behind. There were efforts made to find them, but they proved futile. Who could be behind this?  A girl donning pale, blue robes topped with a bycocket of matching colors fumbled for her map in a corridor unbeknownst to her. This place was nothing compared to Beauxbatons! Too many corridors and the place looked so drab...and weary. But she supposed that was part of the beauty to it, she could clearly tell that this castle was a testament to time and wizarding history. Due to the fact that she joined the school year late, she wasn't able to partake in the famous sorting ceremony in front of others. She did, however, do it in front of the school staff. The headmaster (McGonagall, if she recalled correctly) barely had time to place the hat upon her head before the raggedy hat bellowed "Snuffly-huff" or something along the lines of that. The deputy headmaster handed her a map and asked her several times if she would like a guide. Despite the offer, she declined, not wanting to pull anybody out of their buisness just to guide her to where she needed to be. She would have no trouble reading the map, or so she thought. Not only was the school bigger than she imagined, but she didn't understand some of the words on the map! She released a sigh of frustration. Thankfully, she understood the words "Dining Hall" that was where she was supposed to be! If only her sense of direction was a bit better. [Read more] |

 Name: Renée Duponte Age: 13 Gender/Pronouns: cis girl | she/her Personality: Renée's very meek, timid, and jumpy, she has trouble with approaching people she doesn't know, and is easily startled. It's very easy for people to gain her trust and friendship, and almost never sees herself being in a toxic relationship. She loves to make friends, and always tries to keep close ties with the ones she has. She's a very loving and sympathetic friend, and she'll try to help lighten the mood. Whenever she isn't hanging around the school grounds, she's seen in the Hufflepuff common room, sewing, knitting, or crocheting anything from socks to shirts to robes. She enjoys doing this and has never left a project unfinished, she hopes to go back to France to set up a shop or make robes for Beauxbatons.
