The thump the Potion created when falling on the ground was a soft thump, but a nearby Rattata heard the subtle sound. The Rattata's fur bristled. Humans haven't come this close to where the mouse lives before. The Pokemon scurried through the grass, to inspect the sound further. A human with three Pokemon. The Shinx and the Pidgey wasn't surprising to see, as they're common in Route One. But the Torchic... Instinctively, the Rattata knew what species this Pokemon, but it knew nothing more about it. Where had this Torchic come from, anyways? The Rattata's fur flattened as it relaxed. The human didn't seem particularly dangerous. The Pidgey was a bit unnerving, as any Rattata that isn't careful could be snatched up by a Pidgey as a meal. The mouse thought its options through for a moment. The boy hadn't sighted it yet, and the mouse could always run away. The Rattata wasn't keen on joining this human, either. But it was a nice day, after all, and the Rattata did feel quite energized... What better way to spend its energy on a battle? The Rattata stepped out into the vicinity of Atrus. It wasn't to sure how to spark a battle with a human. The Rattata attempted to catch Atrus's attention by thumping its tail on the floor. Then it pointed to his Pokemon team with one paw, and then he scratched the ground to symbolize a battle. Perhaps the human would interpret this correctly?

Rattata (Common) Sentret (Common) Wurmple (Common) Starly (Common) Shinx (Common) Pidgey (Common) Weedle (Common) Caterpie (Common) Bidoof (Common) Patrat (Uncommon) Pidove (Uncommon) Plantock (Rare)Evidently, the Plantock is one of the newest creations on Atlantis. There are three evolutions of this new Pokemon. A little ways in the grass, a Pokeball lays on a patch of greenery. It must have something inside of it. Pidgey: Tiny Bird Pokemon It is docile and prefers to avoid conflict. If disturbed, however, it can ferociously strike back. Abilities: Keen Eye: Prevents other Pokemon from lowering accuracy. Tangled Feet: Raises evasion if the Pokemon is confused. Big Pecks (Hidden Ability): Protects the Pokemon from defense-lowering attacks. Current Moves: Tackle, Sand Attack. Next move at Level 9. There was even more information on the Pidgey. The results for Sable was similar. Shinx: Flash Pokemon The extension and contraction of its muscles generates electricity. Its fur glows when it’s in trouble. Abilities: Intimidate: Lowers the opponent's attack stat. Rivalry: Deals more damage to Pokemon of opposite gender. Guts (Hidden Ability): Boosts attack if there is a static problem. Current Moves: Tackle, Leer. Next move at Level 9.  The Pokemon Center looks exactly like the ones from Sinnoh. Not large, but not small either, the building with an orange roof stood tall and proud. Inside, there are creamy, tiled floors with the walls in orange and yellow stripes and shades. Just in front of the red counter is a black rug with a green Pokemon symbol etched on. There is a white, computer-like PC on the far right of the counter. Nurse Joy, a member of one of the biggest families in the world, stood patiently behind the counter, with her healing supplies around her. [Read more] |

The Sentret wasn't very interested either. It liked the music, and the boy. But exploring wasn't its style of life. It would definitely join if Atrus wanted to settle down here in Vanera Town, but Atrus wanted to go explore Atlantis. So, with a touch of regret, the Sentret patted Atrus's foot with its paw and scurried away. Perhaps one day the boy would return, and the Sentret could meet him again. The human certainly was an interesting character. That left the Pidgey and the Shinx. The bird Pokemon was cautious. To the Pidgey, it seemed that the boy liked the Shinx a tad better. However, the bird never had the chance to go on a journey before. No human was interested in recruiting a common Pidgey to their team, anyways. Not that the Pidgey had ever thought much about being on a team. Then the bird finally hopped onto Atrus's shoulder. "Pidgey! Pid-gey." the Pokemon cheeped, accepting the offer. The Shinx made its decision in a split second. No humans have ever petted the Shinx before. Even though the action seemed like a small thing, it wasn't to the Shinx. It was like a promise, or an offering. Besides, there would be music to listen to on the way. There would be adventures, battles, and of course, the boy. The feline nodded eagerly, and met his eyes. The two new recruits were ready for action. Atrus now has three Pokemon to share his experience with. Three Pokemon to bond with. Three Pokemon to go exploring with, on this mystical new region. Other Pokemon were more outgoing. A Shinx that lived in the tall grass of Route One and had come to the flower garden, drawn by the sweet smell, padded towards the music. The Pokemon's yellow-gold eyes looked up at Atrus in wonder. After all, there was no music in the grass of Route One. A Sentret popped up and scurried to the music, then hoisted itself up with its tail to get a better view. A third Pokemon also flew over to see- and hear- what's going on. A Pidgey flapped its small wings and landed on the bench handle. The bird closed its eyes, enjoying the clear music coming from the instrument. The Pidgey had heard the music from an oak tree near the garden, and came to check out the mysteriously calming sound. The four Pokemon, one of them a little hard to see, all settled around Atrus, fascinated by the music. Other Pokemon are too shy to come so close to the boy, but four Pokemon is enough, if not more.

This was not an exception for Atrus Rogers. The town was bustling with life and energy. People were streaming in weekly from all regions, and every so often, Pokemon came on the backs of Lapras. There were small cottages, and bigger houses, but nothing in this peaceful town was noticeable. That is, except for a huge flower garden laid out right in the middle of the town. "Oh, look at the flower garden! So pretty!" a girl within earshot of Atrus chirped to her friend. "It's supposed to be the largest flower garden in the world, or something like that. I bet there's tons of Pokemon in there." Sure enough, citizens and new trainers alike were wading through the flowers. Some of them were battling the wild Pokemon that were attracted to the sweet smelling aroma of the flowers. There are many things to do here in Vanera Town. One is to immediately go and explore Route One. Another is to explore the large flower garden. Maybe one could stay for a bit, meet people, and bond with their Pokemon. Perhaps someone could explore some buildings, such as the Pokemart or a building that has large letter painted on that says, 'Mulch and More' with bright green paint. Most likely it's a flower shop, with berries, mulch, and the like. There might be something useful inside. Yes, there are even more things to do. There is time to do everything, really, but that would take quite a bit of time. The flowers seem to beckon at you with their colored, graceful petals. Perhaps they actually are trying to reach out at you. One never knows with flowers. [Read more] |

Name: Lucy Age: 19 Gender: Female Species: Gijinka Fused with: Glaceon Appearance:  Personality: Lucy has to be very jumpy on her toes, as she lives in a dirty alley (more info in Occupation). She has learned to become a quick thinker and a good liar, with the ability to keep a straight face. Lucy learned all kinds of tricks to living in bad conditions, which can help her out of sticky situations. However, despite her slyness, Lucy is also shy. She never approaches someone first, unless it's necessary. As you get to know her better, though, Lucy can be sweet and understanding. She holds a childish innocence that all humans and gijinkas really are good inside, no matter what their actions are. Occupation: Lucy lives in a broad, disgusting alley up above, working as a low wage waitress at a diner in the alley. She doesn't have the money to find a house, and can't work at any other place without being leered at. Besides, although the alley is dark and moldy, it's also a good place to be by yourself and think clearly. Lucy would never fight in an arena. She hates the thought of fighting one of her kind for everyone's amusement. Lucy has avoided capture by staying at the end of the alley when she gets suspicious, because nobody ever lurks to the back of the gutter. History: Lucy is one of the newer creations from the lab. An experiment was held to see if Eevee gijinkas could evolve. Of course, they can, and Lucy became a Glaceon Gijinka. Finding no more use to her, the lab turned the gijinka loose into the world. Lucy had stopped from store to store, to diner to diner, only to be denied a proper job. At last, she came to the alley. A small, dimly lit diner is at the front of it, but other than that, nothing's there. Lucy finally got herself a job at the diner, owned by a human who couldn't care less if all of the waiters and waitresses were gijinkas or humans. Lucy had stayed here ever since, but she often finds herself wishing for something more to life. Family/Relationships: None. Was born in a lab. Other: Fast, but not strong. [Read more] |

Selene stood up and stretched her legs. Beethoven seemed jittery and shifted from fit to foot. Selene took one step after another. Each step was bringing her closer to either failure or success. She could only hope that the path she will take will be successful. Life sometimes doesn't work the way you want it to, though, and that's what Selene is afraid of. [Read more] |

Selene was scared. She hadn't thought about failure from her training much. Over 85 % of the Guardians were removed from their role and had their minds erased? The girl involuntarily shivered, although the room was pleasantly warm. She didn't like the idea of the Gengars either, but it was necessary. Her sole problem was surviving the training program. So Gijinkas are real. The thought finally struck her. The stories were true. Though she knew they were locked up in an island, she had no idea what it was called. The Vault sounded like a metal, windowless prison. How bad are the living conditions? Gijinkas are real. The thought swam through her mind, and Selene shook her head, as if she could shake it out. Half human, half Pokemon. Does that mean they can use Pokemon moves? Selene leaned over to Crystal's seat and whispered, "Hey, Crystal. Sorry for... Not believing you about... Gijinkas. It just didn't really cross my mind... Sorry." She had offended her beliefs, after all, and here was pure proof that Gijinkas really are real, not just a figment of a story.
