I do agree with you I guess, since it would even impossible to give a critique about shading or coloring if it's just a sketch. I think it's just more of a personal preference since I tend to forget stuff a lot and the advice I get on finished pieces never gets used :'>

One suggestion I have us for the poster next to him to be part of the perspective bc if the floor is slanted then the poster should be as well.

one thing you could improve on is the legs, since they seem to get narrower around the bend, then expand as the reach the paws, like a thinner hourglass shape. maybe look up some references and notice what the legs look like ?

I feel as if getting critiques for a finished piece is kinda useless ? like, I know that it's helpful for some people but getting advice for a sketch can be much more helpful, as you can change parts of it since it isn't done. with a finished piece on the other hand, most of the time the op usually just leaves it the way it is.

I dunno, I was just thinking about it. different opinions would be nice.
