"Sure you can. As long as they're open-minded enough, you could join society. You could even stay with me if you're fine with putting up with seven other people in one house. Got six siblings, but one of them's in the loony bin right now. They were actually debating on whether to send him to prison or the mad house." River replied. "So, in the house it'd be my mom, my four sisters, my brother, and me. If you're fine with that, you can stay with us."

Max looked at Adrin, and his anger got lower almost instantly. "Yeah? Do you need something?" He asked.

River had put away his book, and was examining the trap while still making sure not to activate it. "Pretty well made, actually." Then he walked away from it, thinking of what to do next. He noticed Arin looking at him, smiled brightly, and said, "Hi there! You okay?"

(He could probably hear her, even if he couldn't see her. His hearing is pretty good, and with her around, he's more alert. River, on the other hand, is more of a threat to her if she angers him. He's awake for most of the night, so his eyes have adjusted so that he can see easier in the dark, and his hearing's better than normal. But he's also the current nicest guy in camp.)
