Solaro and Akora met eachothers eyes. Solaro's personality had flared, growing like a blaze, which honestly was true according to her fire-orange hair. Akora narrowed her eyes a "don't" look in her eyes.

Akora huffed crossly. "May we not make random accusations?" She growled. The first strong emotion shown from her. "We need to compile our evidence before we decide to scream at eachother." Akora looked at her feet, muttering something infuriated. This was unusual, considering the girl was usually a quiet, obedient pacifist.

Akora frowned. "Didn't Horatia stab you with a leek, Sawyer?"

"Yeah!" Solaro piped up suddenly. "Might he have killed her, as like, a grudge?"

Akora shook her head. All this talk about murders and being unfazed my death. Atleast Akora had a good reason to be fine with gore and death and blood. And... The other reasons. Akora's gaze flickered to her arm, cloaked by a sleeve. Everything under there hidden. Hidden. Like the murderer... But not for long. Akora had the feeling everyone's secrets would eventually be exposed.

...

Just a hunch.

"I agree." Akora frowned. "But who?" She shook her head.

Jeez okay, Solaro-

Solaro frowned. She'd been listening, being a pacifist (unusual, much) and saying nothing. She had nothing anyway. Although, she hated being useless. Whatever. She'd stay out of it for now. She didn't want to cloud the water.

A small hiss. That was not her metaphor. Stay out of my head. She growled throatily to them.

"It was found in the morning, right?" Akora sighed thoughtfully. "And the blood was dry. I'd say it is basically impossible she was murdered an hour to thirty minutes before discovery of her body." She frowned.

Akora resurfaced, and clawed "muck" out of her face. She had to be a survivor - like her mother. She gave a small gasp, and realized she had been holding her breath.

"Well,-" She paused, surprised she had been able to talk at all. "Who saw her last? A-and, when was she found? It could determine roughlt about when she died, maybe?" Akora offered nervously.

Akora had stayed quiet - not from disgust, but from the despairful prickles of dismay stabbing through her like teeth or claws or quills. It was like when she messed up during an operation. Not that she ever did! Akora was perfect and would never mess up! Not often, atleast- She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. It wasn’t because of disgust, no. She’d seen birth, organs, and lethal yet painless toxin being injected into an animal. She felt no disgust. So what was the cause? Perhaps fear. Even for Akora, this was an unacceptable new level of pain. Painful death. Asphyxiation and drowning and burning and bleeding out slowly. Permanent sleep. A worse effect then a small, permanent mark, concealable under a sleeve. Invisible… Similar to her. Someone boring and unworthy of attention. Akora pushed the thoughts away. She bowed her head, staring at the ground mutely. She wanted to make sure this game could end. The entire purpose of this “game” was for most of them to die. If it was over, nobody would die anymore.

Akora uttered a silent cry of defeat. She knew she couldn’t help if the words wouldn’t come out. She tried to pull herself up and out of the terror she was wading in, but like a murky swamp, it stuck to her legs and dragged her down, and she felt herself slipping out of view as she plunged into the mud - the despair.

Akora sat down quickly and quietly, yawning and putting her head on the table. She mumbled something to Solaro, who promptly sat beside her.

Solaros eyes widened. "Don't tell me-" She began, but Akora cut her off. "Shhh. No. I'm just tired, okay?"

Solaro raised an eyebrow.

Something caught her attention though. Someone running out. Did he have drawings on his face? She stifled a laugh, squishing her feelings into the mental box that she always did when she walked on to the stages. Don't wanna be rude, Solaro! No need to give them a reason to murder yoou~! Solaro scowled at herself. She wished she could be half as calm as Akora, who had also seemingly noticed but kept a blank stare, eyes unimpressed.

Focusing on her own expression, she realised her face was twisted into a half-grin half-worried-frowny-thingy.

Akora's skin prickled. Lies- Lying- LIARS- She hissed under her breath. "Alright. Fine by me." She turned away, eyes flashing with a sudden strong emotion. Hatred? Self hatred?

She ran over to Solaro, whilst fiddling with the satchel on her side. "Are you good? What'd he say? Do I need to hit him?" Solaro growled quickly.

"No- I'm fine." Akora gripped Solaro's arm, hard.

"Thank you. Would you need any help with that? I'm a vet, but I do make my own remedies. I'm an insomniac too. Although, not anemic. Would you mind telling me about it? I might be able to help?" Akora facepalmed. "Sorry, questions." She looked guiltily at Idris's pale skin and looked away, mumbling something somewhat scolding to herself.

Akora frowned slightly. Not the friendly type? Wel- Oh, Akora! Stop thinking of people like animals and how to neutralize their mistrust. Akora shook her head to herself. "Well, a pleasure to meet you, Idris." She observed him. "You seem pale. Are you okay,- like, sick -or is it lack of sunlight?" Akora frowned, observing him.

Akora noticed someone- they were slinking off. Conspicuous. I assume thats the opposite of what he wants. Akora wrinkled her nose and giggled.

Fixing her face, unwanting of a psychopathic look, she walked up to him with a smile. "Hello." She paused. "I'm Akora Menx. Ultimate Veterinarian. You?" She asked.

Akora and Solaro read their letters, and creases of worry appeared on Akora's face, whereas Solaro almost immediately broke into tears.

Solaro shoves her note into her pocket, somewhat terrified but in awe of how bright and vibrant. Akora is blatantly confused as the walk out from the pool.

Akora squeaked, blue eyes flashing. Someone- threw somethin-SOMEONE?! She half-fell backward into Solaro, who shoved her off. "Whadya doing?" Solaro hissed quietly. "No-nothing." Akora frowned, looking at the new person. With- really huge boots? Goodness gracious.

Solaro and Akora entered the cafeteria, seemingly arguing over something. They sat together.

Solaro's eyes were caught by a plate of fish. Salmon, in particular. Slightly salted. She cocked her head seemingly. Is this tainted- How did they even know my favourite food? She narrowed her eyes as she took a bite. It tasted perfectly fine. She caught Akoras eye, who was picking at her food, and gestured at it with her eyes.

Akora, who got home late often, busy working with animals, barely ate. But during her days off for holidays, she'd often dine out somewhere for her favourite food, which was onigiri and mochi. She looked at Solaro, who was eating eagerly. Alright then. She took a bite gingerly. "Hmm." Akora hummed thoughtfully. She began to eat the rest.

Solaro and ‘Kora walked in, and Solaro clapped her hands over her eyes. “Aw gawd.” She whispered to Akora.

Akora swept their gaze over the wounded child. “He’s alive, moron. Barely.” Solaro uncovered her eyes and began to peer curiously at the kid, “Can you help? He’s not an animal, buuut?”

Akora frowned. “Depends if the role players say yes and the role play hasn’t progressed too far while we’re gone.” Solaro shushed her awkwardly “That’s not allowed! The fourth wall is crumbling..” Solaro said dramatically.

third person eiieieie

Solaro jumped. Someone… screamed? She realised that in shock she had clung to Akora, who was growling in protest as Solaro flung her arms around her. “No.” Akora batted Solaro. “Ow, much?” Solaro released Akora.

“Wanna check it out?” Akora cocked her head at Solaro, who shrugged. “Sure.”

Together they walked to the source of the cries.

Akora rolled her eyes. "Very funny, ultimate comedian." She wrinkled her nose.

Solaro scowled. "Dead kids?" She sniffed. "Like we're gonna be soon, I guess." Solaro rolled her eyes, grinning at Akora. Akora stood up, and socked her in the shoulder. "Ow!" Solaro squeaked.

"Akora Menx, Ultimate Veterinarian." She bowed her head. "You?"

"Solaro Makasu, Ultimate Singer." Solaro mimicked the movement.
