Skie watched as the new dragon leapt about playfully. He wanted nothing more than to join her, bouncing around and having fun and playing with his denmates, but he felt something. Something bad. His ears flicked and his eyes glanced from side to side, his gaze bouncing off the walls anxiously. He felt that something bad was going to happen, but he could not tell what. With a snort, he stood up and started pacing, his ears picking up a faint rumbling sound. He tried focusing on his suspicious feeling more, trying to get a sense for what could possible be happening, but he could never put his claw on it.

Just then, as he was focusing his mind, trying to understand what this icky feeling was, the cave's temperature rose to hundreds of degrees higher than it was two seconds ago. Before any of them could process what had happened, there was a gigantic roar, and the Nest exploded in flames.

Freja heard the click of a door opening and shutting. Immediately alert, she gazed towards her closed bedroom door as if something were to barge in at any moment and attack her. Eren must have heard it too, because he gave a little tweet and ruffled his feathers. Wind blew through the open window, chilled from the ever-darkening sky, sending a trickle of uneasiness down Freja's spine. As the new guest entered the second floor and opened the door to their room, Eren became spooked and flew out of the window with a squawk, flapping his wings and gliding out, disappearing into the sky in a few wing flaps. Freja sighed and walked over to where her friend had left, closing the window and pulling shut the curtains. She turned her head and gazed back at her door, thinking about the new resident of the house she had been given to share. It must be her spouse.

With her thoughts still conflicting, she walked over to the door, placing her hand against the silver doorknob, feeling its smooth surface twist beneath her rough fingers. She decided to go say hi at least, and she would go back down to the first floor and find something to do. If he wanted to come with, he could, but she would leave it at that. No use getting herself into something she was going to regret.

With a set expression hardened onto her face, she twisted the door handle and pulled open the door, flicking off the lights and walking out. She peeked into the room opposite hers, spotting the creature inside, resting on the beanbag chair beneath the window. Already sensing he was odd, she figured this must be the Izumi fellow. He seemed nice... sort of. She really couldn't tell, but he certainly wasn't human, and he didn't notice her until she addressed herself.
"Hello. I assume you're Izumi. My name is Freja, and we're going to be living in this hell-hole together for a while. I'll be downstairs seeing if there's any food to eat. Come get me if you need something, not before."
She finished her introduction and pulled her head out of the room, turning and walking downstairs, not giving him time to respond. She had kept her voice sharp and simple, only giving him what he needed to hear, and making her point clearly enough to not be bothered unless there was something important. Despite all her hidden curiosities, she felt a distaste for this 'Izumi', and she did not entirely wish to hear his voice, especially not directed at her.

Climbing down the wooden stairs, she felt the floor dip and creak beneath her foot as she reached the base. Walking over to the kitchen, she examined it with more interest this time, trying to make out someplace where food might be stocked. The kitchen held a white fridge that had two doors opening up to wide shelves and an inner-door shelf, along with a water filter and ice machine on the second door. The stove was plain and electric, with simple buttons and knobs, the top black. The oven rested beneath the stove and was mostly a silver-grey with a window in the middle to view the cooked food. Wooden cabinets settled above the stove looked almost intimidating and very rickety, as if they could fall at any moment and crush whatever was inside and around them. Next to the stove was a black-colored counter with a microwave plugged in and sitting atop it. A sink was nestled at the far end of the counter, with an empty knife-holder sitting in between the microwave and the sink. Cabinets below the counter top were painted white and were taller than the ones above the stove, allowing more storage space for things that did not need refrigeration.

Freja examined this all with a bored expression, but she was glad to have everything she needed if she were to make some food. Unfortunately, she was missing one key ingredient to any good meal- the actual food itself. She glanced around one final time before heading over to the fridge. It would probably be empty but it was worth a shot. Grabbing the fridge handles and pulling open the doors, she was shocked and amazed to find that it had already been filled with food. She blinked and shut the fridge again. She supposed it made sense, they didn't want their residents to starve, but still... she shook her head. She decided not to make any food right now, and she walked into the living room to find something to do, her hands beginning to fidget from being empty for too long.

As she went to sit down on one of the chairs, she noticed a bookshelf perched in the corner of the wall with the TV, something she had not noticed when she did her initial sweep of the house. She figured it would be alright to go find a book to read, so she strode over and took a look, examining the spine titles to find one that interested her. Eventually she found one that looked to be about a race of humanoid dragons, which had spiked her interest as she had always been fond of mythical creatures, despite her world being nearly destroyed by them. Lighting a lamp and sitting down on the grey couch, she flipped open the book cover to the first page and started reading.

Freja took her name tag and map thankfully, but she didn’t smile or make any warm gestures towards Wy. His voice was annoying. She started down the path that he had pointed to, following the map to ‘Lynx Woods 30’. Eventually finding her way, she spotted the few pathetic trees Wy had mentioned. She rolled her eyes and walked up to the house on the corner, stopping at the front door as she examined it. Plain and a dirty, pale blue in color, the house was two stories but surprisingly small, barely standing out against the others on the street. If she focused hard enough it would almost disappear. Just her kind of place. Opening the scratched wood door, she took in the sight of her new home.

With a bland interior, the front door opened up into a grey-looking living room with wooden floorboards, a white rug spanning under the furniture, and a wide TV that looked as though it hadn’t been used in centuries. Following the hallway that led out of the living room was a checkered floored kitchen with brown walls and regular kitchen appliances. Leading away from the kitchen is the dining room- Freja noticed the table was only set for two. Past the dining room was the stairs that led to the second floor, which she assumed were the bedrooms and possibly a bathroom. There didn’t seem to be a basement.
She walked up the stairs and checked out the first bedroom- more beige in color, the sheets were a sandy brown with light brown wooded floors, and light caramel colored walls. A small closet and a dresser sat on one side, a ceiling fan hung from the roof, and a beanbag chair was perched in the corner. She ducked out of the doorway and checked the other room- with a more dirty-purple/blue coloring, the bedsheets were light blue with white pillows, and a brown dresser-desk sat opposite the bed. A walk-in closet was set in the wall next to the door, and a wide window with blue patterned curtains rested in the far wall. The floors were the same as the rest of the house- light brown wood, and the walls were painted a pastel indigo. There was a landscape painting of a mountain range with a blue-streaked sunset hanging above the bed.

Freja decided she liked the second bedroom best and set up what little she had there. She figured she would get more stuff as she continued living here, but as of right now all she has is a pouch with some money, birdseed for Eren and her ring. She collapsed onto the bed and sighed. She wondered when she’d meet this ‘Izumi’ fellow. She wasn’t eager to meet him but at least she could get it out of the way. With a final sigh she turned over in her bed, gazing out the window. There was a sudden thunk! as a black shape knocked into the window. Immediately alert, she sat up and stared at the window, instantly on guard. She slowly got out of the bed and walked over to the window. She pulled back the curtains more and saw a pitch-black raven perched on the outdoor windowsill, acting as though he didn’t just run into it headfirst. She rolled he eyes and opened the window, allowing her friend inside. He fluttered around her head for a moment until she held out her arm and he perched on top of it, moving his head around in jerky movements. She walked over to her desk, where she had placed her belongings, and grabbed the bag of birdseed, pouring a bit out onto the desk. Eren tweeted and fluttered off of her arm onto the desk, pecking at the birdseed happily. She sighed. Eren had been her first friend since... the “accident”, and he was such a little kid, despite him being around 5 years old.

She turned away from the desk and examined the picture hanging on the wall. The room certainly was empty, she would have to fix it up a little, even if she wasn’t staying here for long. She planned on leaving as soon as she could, even if she wasn’t exactly enthusiastic to get back to her world. Now that she had more time to think about it, she could see why she was here in this “prison”. It sure wasn’t how she pictured prison to look, but there was no way to get out of here, so in a way they were pretty much locked away, trapped in this world. She shook her head. Thinking like this was obnoxious. She’ll wait for her... partner, she would call him partner, she would wait for her partner to arrive and then figure out how to escape. Alone, of course. She didn’t need another person in her life only to disappoint her. Eren was the only friend she needed. Anyone else was just a waste of time.

Ribbon watched what was happening with a stone-set expression, but his mind was racing. Does that Zaru Pokemon have the Virus? I thought there was only one! Did Team Rocket give it to him like me, or did he find it in the wild himself?
So many thoughts coursed through his mind, knocking against each other and starting a buildup of anxiety. He shook his head to clear his mind, still keeping his face calm, though anxiety and worry crashed through his thoughts like a wave, drowning out any reason in sight. Margo didn't have enough energy to go about willy-nilly and just start healing them, she needed to heal first! And Zaru wasn't going to be "healed" anytime soon. At least, not with what they're doing. Ribbon couldn't do anything to help, so he laid his head back down, curled his tail around himself and closed his eyes. He kept his ears perked, however, listening to the commotion as more happened. He only looked as though he were asleep- his anxiety and worry for Margo was keeping him very much awake.

Freja blinked, her eyes adjusting to the new environment. Sitting up groggily, she could hear a voice speaking as her head cleared. Something about a city, a prison, and spouses? She shook her head slightly. Love was overrated, this must be some kind of prank. She glanced around and noticed Eren sitting next to her, his wings tucked neatly at his side. Whatever this place was, he must have been brought along as well. She nodded to him, signaling she was OK, and he spread his wings and flew off, disappearing in a few wing flaps. She turned her attention back to the voice. Their friend 'Wy', a wyvern-looking human, was situated a ways away from the crowd of other... people? Could she even call them that? There seemed to be very few other humans in the midst of all this. Wy was standing with a check board and talking to 'people' one-by-one, directing them to different places. The voice had said that Wy was going to give her the name of her "spouse". She shook her head again, but she pushed herself up and decided to go over anyways. What else was she going to do?
Walking over to Wy and waiting for her turn to talk to him, she took another look at all the 'people' that were here with her. For the most part, they were all some kind of humanoid creature, exhibiting traits of different creatures along with human ones. She walked closer to Wy as the "line", although it was more of a crowd, moved up. She gave a little sigh and waited.

I have been chosen...

Username: Skye_in_daSky

Character Name: Lunala Forest (goes by Lil)

Age(15-18): 16

Pronouns: she/they

User of what magic?: Water

Appearance: Long, wavy, caramel-brown hair with red streaks lighting it up with color. Light brown skin flecked with whiter spots. Beautiful purple eyes often laced with makeup, and an owl tattoo on her cheek. Has a pet fox named Flynt whom she's bonded with extraordinarily, but he has to stay outside because her family is a line of hunters. Usually wears a mid-length short-sleeved teal shirt with a wolf printed on it, and ripped jeans falling loosely around red sneakers. She normally wears her hair tied back in a messy ponytail, and it's rarely ever brushed. She has a bunch of bracelets made by both herself and her friend group from another country- she moved here a year ago and is still adjusting. Wears a chest binder to feel more comfortable and loves wearing makeup, has an old baseball cap with an owl printed on it.

Personality: fun-loving and energetic, she enjoys a good mind game and, despite her outgoing demeanor, is very quick-witted and smart. She's good at thinking critically under stress and likes to plan ahead, in order to make the right choices that she thinks will benefit her and those she's working with in the long run. Still hasn't fully moved on from her old life so she doesn't make friends, but she found Flynt following her home, and she gave him some of her food and they became best friends from there. She has a hard time trusting people but loves being kind, and often shows compassion to the most unlikely of people, causing a change of heart (most of the time). She doesn't like to use people but she's excellent with words and is very good at manipulation, though she does not take advantage of this skill. Very bouncy and energetic on the outside, but on the inside is always rationalizing and thinking, keeping an even opinion and never fully picking sides. Does not get along with her parents ever since the big move, her parents are looking at a divorce as they fight constantly. Lil never lets their home life affect their outward personality, but deep down it cuts into her confidence and self-esteem. They're waiting until they turn 18 so they can move out and won't have to deal with it anymore.

PP group?: Yes!

Other: are they allowed to have Flynt-? He won't get in the way or anything I just thought it would be cool :D
Also, she really likes owls, they're her favorite animal (besides Flynt). Also also, she's biromantic-asexual :)
Also also also, DRAGONS! >:D (or griffins or phoenixes)

Ribbon flicked his ears, overhearing Zaru's troubles. His thoughts darkened as he listened, that problem coming dangerously close to his own. The only difference was Ribbon's didn't show up physically, unless you counted his eye. It was a mental struggle that nobody ever noticed, and nobody would ever notice unless he spoke about it. But nobody needed to know. Eventually it would corrupt him, and he would either die or go completely berserk. There was no known cure to this Virus, and they didn't even know if the A-Virus was the only one. But that didn't matter. He couldn't help this 'Zaru'. He couldn't even help himself. He watched as Eris approached him and Margo, skeptical but willing to work with her, seeing as how she did help Linii. Eventually.

Floria listened to Eris and Zaru's conversation sadly. She felt bad for Zaru, and she wished she could help, but even with her floral healing in the summer there was little she could do. She watched as the both of them walked away and sighed. She would stay with Linii and help where she was needed. She couldn't risk another one.

Floria nodded. "All the Pokemon escaped, but lots of them just ran off on their own after the exit opened, so this is just the group that stayed together after we beat Team Rocket and got away."
She glanced over at Zaru and noticed his black veins, sending a shiver down her spine. She had started to realize that most of these Pokemon weren't as OK as they let on.
She then looked up at Eris, who was standing beside them. She looked at her sincerely and said, "Thank you."

Floria stayed by Linii's side for the rest of that day, making sure her friend was still OK and would recover safely. She talked with Zaru more, though he was very closed-off and refused to talk about the black veins growing on his face and along his body. Things seemed to have settled down, but Floria knew they couldn't stay here for much longer. They needed to make a plan and find a new place, a permanent place where they can set up a base and live without the danger of humans or trainers.

Name:
Freja (pronounced Freya) Azurine
Age:
22
Appearance:

Personality:
Very sharp and strict, she never lets anything slide, but if you manage to get close enough she will hold you dear to her heart and do everything to make sure you are safe and happy. She's fiercely loyal but not very kind, but that is only because she has never experienced true love before. She learned to push down her feelings and hide behind a shield of steel to avoid getting hurt, so that's exactly what she does.

Background:
She comes from a world plagued by dragons, where the ongoing human and dragon war had forced many to insanity, causing them to do things they would regret for generations to come. One of those people was Freja. She tried befriending one of the dragons at a young age, but it went crazy on her and gave her a large scar spanning the right side of her face. At the age of 18, her little brother, who was 10, went "missing", and Freja was the only one who actually knew what had happened to him. The guilt haunted her for years, until she finally shoved down her feelings and developed a barrier of ice, blocking out any warmth trying to get close. She made no friends, and soon after, her parents went "missing" as well. By then, she felt no guilt, and started making people "go missing" a lot more often. She still feels tremendous guilt about her little brother, she just buried it in a glacier of ice so she didn't feel the pain anymore. Ever since she was a little girl, she had the gift of being able to connect with birds, and it was only when she turned 16 when she found out she could summon a raven, and that became her first friend in a while. The only reason she allowed it in was because it wasn't a human and didn't have the potential to hurt her. She named it Eren.

Other:
Freja's eyes are a pure green, but when she uses her bird gift they turn to a dark blue. I would be alright with a GC. While dragons do exist in her world, the human race still exists and they are fighting. Freja is completely human.

Floria walked among the low-hanging branches of some willow trees deep within the forest, and yet she could still hear the rustle of voices from the clearing. She sighed and ducked under one of the canopies, flicking her ears. Maybe she shouldn't have run off, but she needed space to think. She knew that with the knowledge that Linii has not been confirmed OK, her thoughts would be pretty restless, but she just needed to get away.
Under the pretty branches and seemingly curtains from the willow tree, she saw tiny pink flowers beginning to fall to the ground. That's right, she told herself, it's just the beginning of fall. We'll need to stock up on food and find a place to stay for the winter. The leaves are already changing color. She sighed whilst a gentle, cool breeze ruffled the fur behind her ears, bringing with it a soft yet sinister whisper. She shivered, despite the beautiful day, and decided to go back. She could "think" somewhere else- this place was creepy.

Floria followed the sound of restless chatter and eventually found her way back to the campsite. As she entered the clearing, her gaze fell upon Eris and Zaru talking to... Linii! They had helped her! She was alive! Floria cried with joy and ran forwards, jumping through other Pokemon as she got to her friend, falling over and giving her the biggest hug (I suppose it would be like a neck-hug since they're Pokemon). She was crying with relief. "Linii!" she cried. "You're ok!"

Ribbon watched the commotion quietly, silently taking it all in. He couldn't imagine himself going through that much for someone... well, he wouldn't have been able to, had it not already happened. But he didn't allow himself to think about that. He had learned how to push those thoughts out before they got anywhere near his train of thought, throwing them off the rails and banishing them. Maybe pushing away his problems, and other Pokemon who just wanted to help, wasn't necessarily healthy, but he didn't care. It saved him from having to relive that in the worst way possible, so it must be working. At least for now.

Isseah opened her eyes, hearing the Sceptile’s words, and nodded. “You probably should.” She encouraged. She agreed with him on the beauty of the night. It truly was a sight to behold. Isseah planned on staying up later, as she had no reason nor need to sleep unless she exerted her power too much. With a quick little puff, she stood up and decided to take a quick walk. Not too far, as it would be hard to find her way back at this time, but far enough to keep her body and her mind busy as everyone else fell asleep and she was left with nothing to do. Maybe she could practice the conjure spell she had been reading about. With a contented sigh, she walked off, glancing back only to see that nobody was following and that everyone was safe. Then, she turned and skipped away.

Floria nodded. She could get those things easy- she had seen them all before and knew what they looked like, and they were in a lush forest so finding them shouldn’t be hard. Without another word, Floria stood up and dashed off, searching for the berries Eris had listed. Hopefully the clearing would be quiet enough for her to focus, as most of the conversations had died off as Pokémon grew tired, but there wasn’t much Floria could do on the matter. Running through the forest, being careful of dangers, she scouted out, searching left and right for the berries, eager to do whatever she could to help her friend.

Eventually she had found as much of each as she could carry and brought them back to Eris. Dropping them next to her, she said, “Here, this should be enough, and if it’s not just call my name and I’ll go fine more.”
And with that, she walked off, leaving Eris in her work so as not to bother or distract her any further.

Isseah looked up at him. She wondered the same thing but decided it best not to complain. The sudden blast illuminated the area in a slight glow as the sun finished painting the sky with streaks of red and orange, and the moon shone brightly on the other side. Stars twinkled and winked down at them from an inky blue-black sky as the night settled in. Isseah didn’t necessarily need sleep as she was in fact a ghost, nor did she ever experience a fear of the dark seeing as her spirit-self glowed with a slight light ray, lighting up the area around her in the darkness. She watched the others practicing their skills and thought that she should be feeling some kind of negative feeling here, watching them all practice their battle skills when she had almost no combat skills whatsoever. However, she felt fine with it, and decided to practice her emotion-sensing skill instead. Reaching out with her mind, she closed her eyes and tried to get a sense of one specific person’s feelings, instead of feeling them all at once. She wasn’t quite successful at first, but nothing good comes easy, so she kept at it, training her mind instead of her body, especially since she technically didn’t have much of a physical body anyways.

Floria smiled. “Nice to meet you Eris, what do you need from me?”
Maintaining herself even though her friend could quite possibly be literally dying right now took a lot of work, but it was working and she felt kind of better. If they can fix it then all the tears were for nothing and everything will be alright. She held out on the hope that they can fix it, because if they can’t...
Despite Floria telling herself it was nobody’s fault, she doesn’t think she’d ever forgive herself.

The reaction from Zaru startled Floria out of her sadness, and she looked up at the Pokémon trying to help. She felt sympathy for this Pokémon, and she decided to lend some words of encouragement. “Hey,” she started, “what’s your name?”
She didn’t feel as though this Pokémon did anything wrong. This was nobody’s fault, and if she got caught up in blame it would only lead down an awful path that would be difficult to step off of. She figured she could at least keep this one from falling down that rabbit hole.

Ribbon glanced over as the shiny Eevee, Margo, laid down next to him. He said nothing, but he could sense her despair, and, in a silent gesture of kindness, he swished his tail so that it laid around her, comforting and warming her fur. He wasn’t very good at the whole reassurance thing, and most of the time he preferred actions over words, so he figured this would help. Margo was obviously upset and blames herself for the whole commotion with Linii, and he wanted to say something to reassure her, but he just didn’t know what to say. So instead of saying anything he simply allowed her to lay with him, for he knew that even if there were no words, suffering together is better than suffering alone. He held his own guilt for past actions, but that had nothing to do with their recent escape. Still, he sympathized with her and tried to show that he cared. He hadn’t shown this kind of compassion to another since... he didn’t want to think about it, but he was kind of glad he was finally starting to warm up to other Pokémon (no pun intended), and despite his mind screaming at him to close himself off and not risk getting hurt, he couldn’t help but develop a friendly kind of fondness for this Eevee, who’s just been broken too many times and needs help rebuilding herself. Now that, he could understand.
