The earth shifted and rumbled under Kalani's feet, making it hard for her to keep her balance. "I didn't think we would be fighting so soon," she commented. Kalani tried sticking out her arms to keep her standing. She failed, causing her to fall over. The fall didn't hurt as much as it would have, but she heard the distinct sound of shattered glass in her mind, a clear indication that her shadow shield lessened the blow for her. It still stung, the chill only made it worse , and now she was a little more vulnerable. To help rectify this, Kalani tried standing herself up, closed her eyes, and began to focus. She drew from the Cosmic Power from space to help her be more resilient. Small stars swirled around her and she shone ever so slightly, though it was unnoticeable in the daylight. It only would do so much for her, but it would give her a small amount of time to think. She planned that, unless she was in immediate danger, she would bring her defenses up more before attacking and then she might be able to figure out what types the three legendaries they were fighting were.

Kalani heard voices in the nearby distance, drawing her attention from the conversation to the entrance of three humans, but from their conversation she inferred that they were legends like them. Would they have to fight already? Fight or not, they got her attention, and some of the others' attention as well. And while her posture was relaxed, her hand gripped the side of her skirt as if all the tension she had was gathered in her hand. She fiddled with the fabric in her hand to distract herself from the feelings that were starting to billow in her chest.
