"Yeah, I've only seen Zapdos once, before, and nobody else. But I'm sure there's lots more!" Then she tilted her head to the side as Lady explained her situation. Maybe her brother fell into a Buneary burrow, too... No, probably not. There's not a lot of Buneary holes around here, I just got lucky that time... Tessa grinned at her offer and wagged her tail. "Sure! There's nothing to do here, anyways." The fire puppy already started running off in no general direction, scanning the area for another Poochyena. ((Changed the speech color from orange to red, because the orange was kind of hard to read)) [Read more] |

Huge, powerful wings, sparking with electricity that can kill with a single jolt. Small, black thunderclouds forming with every beat of those wings. Those dark eyes scanning the ground for any helpless Pokemon that he might torment. Then, he saw a pinprick of orange and black on the seemingly-endless grass. A Growlithe. Tessa scampered away as fast as she could, in no general direction. Her blue eyes were watery and panic-stricken, and her paws were dusty and worn from the running. But Zapdos had seen her. He was toying with her, swooping down, then flying back up. Any moment, though, he would get tired of his little game and end it. The young Growlithe gave a yelp of fear and surprise as her paws gave way and she stumbled into the ground. Zapdos frowned, circling the spot where the Growlithe had been running. Were was she? Had the ground swallowed her up? Perhaps Groundon had been laying in wait in the ground, and had gotten rid of the fire puppy already. Zapdos flew away, in search of another Pokemon to exterminate. Tessa shivered in the damp cold of the abandoned Buneary burrow, not daring to come out for another hour. How terrified she had been... "No way Zapdos'll ever get me! I'm too fast for him! Too strong!" the young Growlithe excitedly exaggerated. "'Sides, he doesn't come here that much." [Read more] |

"Yeah, I've seen him once before! But only once, I don't think Zapdos bothers checking this meadow. The meadow's pretty bi-i-i-ig!" Tessa woofed, rising onto her hind legs and spreading her front paws out to emphasize the 'big'. "'Course I know what he does! But I'm not scared of him!" the puppy boasted while dropping down on all four paws. She hit the ground harder than expected, though, and her paws splayed out from under her. [Read more] |

Tessa screeched to a sudden stop with scrambling paws as she heard a friendly voice. "Uwah!" the little blue-eyed Growlithe yelped, surprised by a sudden streak of black and grey beside her. Then the fire puppy shook her head, inwardly chiding herself for her fear. Not a Legendary, Tessa comforted herself. Besides, no Legendaries are the same size as I am, right? "I... Um, I'm Tessa." the young Growlithe cautiously introduced herself. This was the first time Tessa had ever run into someone in Lush Meadow. She felt a litle indignant, thinking that this meadow was hers. She had discovered it first. Or that's how it played in her mind, although hundreds of other Pokemon had come here even before Tessa was born. The puppy shook away the foolish thought, though. [Read more] |

Little orange paws scampered through a green meadow. The lush grass crunched under the paws of a solitary Growlithe, running through the seemingly endless field. From the sky, it looked like a streak of orange and black in that infinite color pattern of green and yellow. Tup, tup, tup. Tessa loved running through this meadow. Not many Pokemon came here, and the field is so vast that she never ran into anyone yet. Once a Legendary had swooped over the field with searching eyes, but Tessa had hid in an abandoned Buneary burrow in the nick of time. Although the field had no official name, the Growlithe liked to call it "Lush Meadow". The name certainly fit the meadow. Tessa liked to think of this as her meadow, a place where she belongs. Tup, tup, tup. [Read more] |

"Medium rare... Medium rare..." Lucy murmured under her breath as she strode to the freezer and pulled out a hunk of meat. The good thing about this place was that at least the food was fresh, and not a couple years old or anything. She unwrapped the meat out of the plastic wrapping and placed it on a beat-up, rusty pan, which she placed over the stove. Then she turned it on. The Glaceon Gijinka scampered back to the table the Absol Gijinka was at, holding a dish with one hand (paw?). "Medium rare steak?" she chirped, setting it down in front of the man. Then, after standing awkwardly for a moment, she asked, "Err... Is there anything else you need?" This was purely out of habit, although he had said that he only wanted a steak. [Read more] |

"Yes, sir..." Lucy murmured as she hopped nimbly to the grimy sink, avoiding the glare of a red-faced man. The Glaceon Gijinka daintily swept her blue hair out of the way and twisted the knob labeled with a faded, blue "C", for cold water. Despite there being a knob for hot water as well, there wasn't a water heating system here in this mucky diner that Lucy worked in. The lab Gijinka hummed quietly under her breath while scrubbing the dishes with a hard, yellow sponge. Lucy closed her eyes while working. Is this really what I live for? Scrubbing dishes in a run-down diner in a dark alley? Lucy didn't like that thought. It's not as if she could work anywhere else, though, as every other place refused to let her work there. There are rumors, though, rumors about a place where humans and Gijinkas live together in peace. The Glaceon Gijinka doubted the existence of such a paradise. It sounded too good to be true. "Gijinka girl, where are you?! Serve that one over there!" Lucy blinked in surprise. It was almost midnight, marking the end of her shift. She didn't think that anybody would still come into the building. With a sigh, the Glaceon Gijinka slid out of the kitchen and into the serving room. The room is surprisingly clean-looking, with creamy white tables and chairs. However, if you look a little closer, a thin layer of dust coats almost everything. The building is dimly lit, with a few flickering light bulbs that badly needed changing. A solitary person sat at a table, surveying a menu. Wait... He's a Gijinka. This wasn't very surprising. A few Gijinkas had come to the diner in the past few years she had been employed here. About once a month, to be exact. Nobody really noticed- or wanted to notice- a run-down cafe in a dark alley. Timidly, Lucy approached the Absol Gijinka. "Err, 'scuse me, sir. Have you decided on your order yet?" [Read more] |

Character Name: Meena Sulivis Appearance: Age: 15 Gender: Female Personality: Meena is the kind of person who would never approach you first. She's shy when you first meet her, and sometimes she stutters. She never goes out of her way to make new friends. That doesn't mean she's an introvert, though. When you get to know her better, Meena is sweet, a little secretive, optimistic, and sunshiney. She always tries to look on the bright side of things, even if there is no bright side. Meena holds a childish innocence that all Pokemon are really good and kind deep inside, even if they appear evil or mean. Meena is a good listener. She can listen to someone talk for hours on the end, and never get impatient. She knows exactly what to say at all the right times. Although she knows how to make someone feel better most of the time, she can be afraid to do what's right if it has any consequences. Meena isn't a risk-taker, and will never be one. Strong Traits: Listening, staying optimistic, loving, caring. Weak Traits: Shyness, held back, afraid to open up to new things. Crush: None Other: None [Read more] |

Not sure whether he could command his Starly to attack as well, he hesitated for a moment. Then he decided that he could, and he called, "Starly! Attack the Pidgey with a Quick Attack!" The battle-ready Pokemon flew up a few inches from the ground and flew at Skyla in a blur. [Read more] |

The Starly felt a little unnerved. Instinctively, it knew that this strange Pokemon is a Snivy. However, since these Pokemon are rare and alien to Route One, the Starly had never seen one of these grass snakes before. Feeling a little threatened, the bird swooped down and landed directly in front of the trainer and his Snivy with a hard gaze. This Starly wanted a battle, and it was not about to go until she got one. ![]() [Read more] |
