Dawnpelt was the last to leave camp, pausing next to Duskwind. She placed the herb bundles on the ground. " Where is Ashpelt?," she asked, not seeing his familiar pelt in the throng of cats.
" I think he went up ahead? I'm not sure where, " Duskwind said, feeling guilty that he didn't have a better answer.

Sunkit didn't reply to her brother, worried about what they would do. She didn't want to think about more fighting.

"Moving swiftly will be key...we'll have to take the twoleg path up the mountain, and I'm not sure how often they walk there, " Dawnpelt said, picking up a bundle of herbs. " We'll worry about getting the clan there safe, then we'll worry about coming back, " she said, under breath as to not let the rogue cats hear. She picked up another bundle of herbs and left the medicine cat's den. She gave one last venomous look to Sandfeather, and headed out the camp entrance.

Sunkit shivered, but pressed close against her brother. " I thought our first time leaving the camp would be exciting...," she mewed to her brother.

Duskwind held back as his clan walked solemly ahead into the trees, looking back into the camp, waiting for everyone to leave. Dusty came stalking out, bristling and hissing at the rogue cats surrounding them. "Rude...fleabags...no respect...," he muttered as he walked by Duskwind.

" Do you need any help?, " Dawnpelt said softly, as to not startle the medicine cat. " I can help you carry herbs, " Dawnpelt knew they would need all the herbs they could, not having time to collect new ones.

Duskwind followed his clanmates out of the camp, everyone unnaturally quiet. His ears pricked as he heard Sunkit's tiny voice behind him.

" But where will we go? " she cried softly to Flowerheart. She had never left the camp before, and her ears were flat on her head as she looked around at the rogue cats watching them leave.

"I'm not sure, little one, " Dawnpelt said in a hushed tone. She nudged towards Flowerheart, " Let's leave at once, " she said, " I'm going to see to Tigerstripe," she said, and rushed to the medicine cat's den.

Duskwind flicked his tail, hesitating before leaving the camp with his clan mates. The rogue cats heavily outnumbered them, and he could see more outside of the camp as well. The gray cat smiled, exposing a chipped fang, " Speak again, and I won't let you stand at all," she growled. Duskwind hissed and padded out of the bramble tunnel.

Dawnpelt nodded, not taking her gaze off of Sandfeather. " Let's leave soon, I'd rather not stay push our luck with these rogues, " she muttered, and padded towards the nursery, worried by the sound of her kits. Sunkit cried out as she came near, and Dawnpelt hushed her. " Flowerheart, Mudfeather, you must help carry the kits if they cannot keep up. " she meowed, trying to sound calm.

Dawnpelt stood in the entrance with Ashpelt, holding a fierce gaze on Sandfeather as she spoke. She did not know how to respond to Ashpelt, fearing the worst for Hawkpool if she did not join them soon. Dawnpelt padded through the camp to stand by Flamestar, pained to see her leader in his state.

Sunkit mewled pitifully, " We have to leave?" she cried softly.

Duskwind's tail dropped slightly as he warily moved away from the rogues. " We'll won't let this stand, " he growled, heading towards the camp entrance.

" I..." Sunkit failed to find words as she stared out of the nursery in fear. There were more rogue cats poured in through the camp entrance and the sound of fighting filled the camp. Where is mother? Where is Flamestar? , she thought as she stared out of the nursery.

Duskwind barely flinched at the gray cat's attack and struck back, attacking the rogue's front shoulder. Another rogue cat appeared at the gray cat's side, hissing angrily with it's ears flattened to its head. Duskwind took a step back, glancing at Feathercloud nervously. " There's too many! " he shouted to her.

" Feathercloud!, " Duskwind shouted as he leaped forward towards the gray cat. He gripped his teeth sharply into the grey cat's scruff and yanked as hard as he could, pulling the gray cat and himself to the ground, off of Feathercloud. The gray cat hissed and twisted out of Duskwind's grasp, and stood with her back arched high. " You Desertclan hairballs might as well be kitty pets, " she spat, and swatted a claws paw at Duskwind's head, slicing his ear.

Dusty scrabbled out of the elder's den, looking around wildly, his hackles raised, swatting at a confused rogue who had gone into the den.

Sunkit stood frozen to the spot, her fur puffed out and her eyes wide with fear, as she watched Mudfeather fight.

Dawnpelt have a pained look of gratitude to Hawkpool and slashed at the face of the rogue they fought with Ashpelt. “ The camp! “ she hissed and darted off back to the camp as fast as her paws could carry her.

The tall grey cat yowled in pain as Feathercloud raked her side. She stood up on her rear legs and came down hard on Feathercloud’s back.

Duskwind scrambled to stand, slightly dazed from the impact of being tackled. He shook his head and hissed as he swatted at the great rogue.

Dawnpelt’s heart sank at hearing the rogue cat’s words. “ Wha-?” Her words were cut off as she was tackled by the newest rogue. Her muscles tenses as she rolled onto her back, kicking furiously with her back claws against the belly of the rogue.

Sunkit didn’t appear to hear Mudfeather’s urgent words, as her attention was drawn towards the entrance, where the sounds of fighting began to echo through the camp.

A large but thin gray cat came skittering through the bramble tunnel, blood on her muzzle, and other fierce looking cats behind her. “ You need better guards!” She yowled before leaping onto the nearest cat, Duskwind. Duskwind grunted as he was pushed to the ground.

Duskwind jumped at the sudden yowl, having partially dosed off. He rose to his paws, his fur fluffed out. He glanced at Feathercloud as she stepped out of the den, and looked around the camp.

Sunkit's eyes were fearful as she pushed close to Mudfeaether, " What's that?" she mewled.

Dawnpelt hissed and helped Ashpelt attack the rogue cat, having momentarily forgotten Hawkpool. She slashed at the rogue's cat's chest with her extended from claws.
