EMERGENCY EMERGENCY SUZUMEG PRIORITY MUST GET THE DATE
Suzume blushed for some reason, maybe because her cup was so hot? Or maybe... Megami looked so pretty while she made the hot coco- wait what? What did her making it have to do with- making her prettier?

Suzume was about to puzzle over this before realizing they had to get to the library. With her other hand, she took Megami's arm and headed hurriedly off to the library. "I'm ready. Come on!" It was only when they were heading over there she remembered.

She wanted to facepalm, but she couldn't.

Suzume stared, wide-eyed at the scene, and then she glanced at Megami, blinking. "Well... that happened. Is there still hot cocoa somewhere? They might have ingredients in the kitchen."

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai shrugged. "Why is everyone complaining? LOOK AT ALL THIS FISH!" She looked over at Chuku and blinked. "Wait, who are you? I don't believe I've seen you before! Hi!!! I'm Kowai!" She reached her hand out. Wow, she looks cute! ...waitwhatthehellwhyamIthinkingthatIdon'tevenknowher

Femi looked deeply traumatized. He had gone quite still, and was staring at all the sushi in horror. "G-Guess I'm not eating," he stuttered with a laugh, his voice sounding hollow. Look at... look at all these poor fish... who died, just so- just so we could eat.

Tears welled up in his eyes. And it wasn't their being dead and used for this that was the worst part. He had no doubt in his mind, if Monokuma had killed these fish, they had been killed cruelly...

He collapsed onto his knees, all the color seemingly draining from his face.

Suzume smiled and took Megami's hand in hers (but not before excessively blushing). "Well- we should be going, then." Suzume began to make her way to the cafeteria.

With... Megami.

She was heading there with Megami. Suzume Fujimori. Was going. On a date. With someone.

She'd never considered romance a priority in her life. And yet.

Yet as she clung to Megami's hand, she found herself not wanting to let go.

Femi Davis's POV

Femi looked over at Buraddo. "Um, hi there! Thank you for..." Femi shrank, his shoulders hunched to his sides. "For-- stopping Kowai from sitting here with us. You're Buraddo, right? I'm Femi..."

Why was he so dramatic about it? So afraid?

He heard what Hisoka seemed to be thinking in his words. "To be honest, I... really don't get the idea of people among us dating either. I mean!! Not that it's necessarily bad but... some of those people might not live to see tomorrow."

Kowai Kurai's POV

Oh, whatever. Kowai wasn't all that hungry. She'd had crabs!!

And she couldn't shake the impression that she was looking for somebody. She found herself heading down to the pool.

A memory flashed in her mind she had considered telling Koda about. In fact, Koda was here! In the water!

Kowai shrugged and jumped right into the water with a tremendous SPLASH!!

"Heyyy, Koda!" Kowai exclaimed, waving at her. She playfully splashed her with water.

Unsure of how to continue, she asked the dull question: "How was your morning?"

"S-sure," Suzume uncharacteristically stammered. "That sounds like a good plan." Oh, no. Why did she feel so nervous?... she wasn't used to this at all! She got up from the bed, and was... about to walk out there. She reached for Megami's hand, and- hesitated.

She glanced over at her.

Kowai looked disappointed. Her brows were furrowed and she looked rather hurt. "Oh!... I'll- go sit somewhere else, then," she said a little quietly.

Femi winced, feeling as though someone had thrown a wrench in his gut. Kowai had actually looked and sounded... hurt.

But still, he looked at Majikaruman and nodded gratefully, silently mouthing a "thank you".

Kowai nearly silently treaded away. She decided she'd go find Koda and Suko. Koda, she was sure, would welcome her. And maybe Suko would?...

She felt a certain bitterness about not being allowed to sit at the table. But no! It was fine. She was used to things like this.

At least they didn't run away screaming.

She found herself pondering a moment, another couple of candidates for interaction. Niwa, Keiki. Where were they? Probably not here. And Amano didn't seem to be here either, not that he was the kind of person Kowai would talk to.

And of course, there were others.

Maybe it had felt like it stung because it was so obviously an attempt to get rid of her.

But...

Didn't everyone want to get rid of her? Except Koda.

Koda... why do you seem to like me? People like you always end up hurt. Or worse.

She shook away the thought. What was happening to her?...

For a second there- it was like she cared about these people.

Suzume nodded solemnly. "Yes, and something feels... all too fake about her somehow." Suddenly she froze upon processing everything Megami had said. Her blood ran cold. She became uncharacteristically tense. "But... BUT- what if- she IS the Ultimate Killer? Why would she be hiding her talent unless it was something she'd be condemned for?"

She shook her head. "No. No use dwelling on it for now. We... should head to the library soon." Her face reddened.

...we.

But was she just trying to distract herself? No. Of course not.

...time- with Megami. Would she end up screwing it up? Why was she so worried?

Femi Davis's POV

Femi froze up, a moment. As though he was having difficulty processing all Hisoka was saying. And somehow, he managed to smile. For a moment there, he thought he had grasped... some kind of happiness? A feeling of friendship.

Something he'd never known before. "You're... welcome, Hisoka. And I'll support you too. And I- no. I owed it to you. I owe it to everyone, really." He glanced down, and then at Hisoka, and then Majikaruman. "O-of course, I'd be willing to sit with you both! I..."

Femi gripped onto the table. At that moment, he'd thought of Suko. They had always been... warm to him, although aggressive, pushy, chaotic, and demanding. Hisoka wasn't exactly "warm" and neither was Majikaruman. But these two... there was something genuine about them.

Something he'd never detected in Suko. But- what had given him such an impression about them? What if it was just him being paranoid?

He sat down at the table, and pondered the issue. "So, are... we here to eat something?" he asked. He couldn't help but notice Hisoka's eyes flicking to Kowai. She had been clapping, Femi remembered, another subconscious observation he'd pushed under the rug.

He didn't know all that much about her. From the first two trials, from what he could tell... she seemed deranged and unpredictable. But did he have the right to think that, or what he thought of Suko?

Then he remembered her hugging him suddenly, seeming so kind and friendly and loving all of a sudden. And then a chill went through him, remembering the words she'd said. Had she been... trying to gauge a reaction from him?

And from Suzume... He shook his head. No. It could be coincidence, couldn't it?

Because how could she know that? No one knew that. No one knew that about him.

No one would ever have to know.

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai made her way over to Hisoka's table and stabbed the center of it with a spoon (which, of course, bounced off. You can't stab with a spoon). "Hellooo! Hisoka, long time no see! And hi, Femi! And- Magic Man? Wow, quite a lot of people we have here!" A lot of people who are going to be dead at some point, aren't they? "Mind if I sit with you guys?" she asked.

(KOWAIIII NOOOO STOP SCREWING UP HISOKA'S LIFE YOU NEED TO BE FLIRTING WITH KODA)

Femi, in response, chuckled nervously. "O-oh! Hi, Kowai! Well, umm- I don't mind. Hisoka- Majikaruman- what do you think?" But the look on his face gave Kowai a distinct impression.

It said "PLEASE. PLEASE DON'T SIT HERE. I'M BEGGING YOU!!"

Femi tried so hard not to swallow nervously as Hisoka spoke. The look, on his face, as he asked...

Femi nodded vigorously. "I... I would." He sat down at the table. Frantically he tried to find the words. Literally, he was looking through his pocket.

Only to remember his notebook page he was going to use to ask Hisoka had accidentally been dropped on the floor as he rushed out. He inhaled sharply. He'd just have to wing it.

(I can just imagine Majikaruman slowly eating popcorn and glancing at Hisoka and then at Femi and then back again, repeat, waiting to see what'll happen).

In as steady a voice as he could manage, Femi began, "Hisoka, you probably knew this, but... when I first came here, I was too afraid. I couldn't bring myself to speak to anyone. I thought trusting anyone would mean I'd end up getting killed. I thought caring about anyone else would just make me a target. And... not to sound too sentimental, but I- I've realized how wrong I was. Most of the people here survived because of the bonds they made with others. And all this time, I've been so selfish. I thought only of my own life, and because of it... four of us are gone. I could've saved them." Femi had to pause here, trying his best to wipe away the tears. "B-But that's okay. Because I'm going to be willing to work with people now. There's not going to be another death here. There's not going to be another death here," he whispered the last sentence in succession.

"And I... understand you might not trust all the people you've bonded with. But Hisoka, I think you of all people know... that wasn't what was most important. Sharing an unspoken bond with certain people meant no one had reason to kill each other. And- I admit- I myself was afraid of you. You were one of the people I was afraid of most from the start. But... we're all human here. We just handle this situation... a little differently."

The strangely passionate, emotional, and lost look in Femi's eyes went away, as he did his best to lay out what he wanted to say to Hisoka. It was as though the words had flowed right out of him, and would not return to his heart.

"So..." he choked. "On the behalf of the lives of the dead, I'm sorry. But I want to fix things now. And if I can... I think-- I think you're the person who knows best how I can do it. I'm not going to just run away and fend for just myself anymore."

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai, in the absence of Koda for just this post blinked in silence, and slowly clapped about all those words Femi just poured out.

Well! That was unexpected. I wonder what brought this on? she pondered. She was most curious to see how Door-Slam Pearl-Face High-Horse would respond.

Suzume also woke up to something about doors. Had someone found a way out of the building?

No. She doubted it. Probably some lunatic.

Like Kowai.

Okay. She didn't know enough about that girl to judge her... but she couldn't help feeling bitter over what had happened.

She glanced over at Megami, and wondered if she should tell her.

"Hey... Megami? I- wanted to tell you about something. I don't think Kowai is to be trusted. And that may not be news to you," she said, rolling her eyes, "as I'm pretty sure at least a few of us knew this. But... I don't think anyone knows her Ultimate Talent. She's hiding that, for one. And she's been way too calm about everything. Plus, there's just... something off about her." She proceeded to tell Megami about what happened when she found herself in the room with only Femi and Kowai in there with her.

"She kept interrupting me, and I don't think it was just to be rude. She's hiding something. And I've... been worried about it, frankly. What do you think?"

Femi Davis's POV

Femi woke up not because of the noise but because he had grown into a very ravenous animal-- er, human. And after his traumatic experience with not eating or drinking for days and nearly dying, he wasn't going to stay here for chit-chat.

"Um- g-guys. I don't want to be rude, but. I better go to the cafeteria. I don't want to... go hungry." He shuddered. "Sorry, I- see you later?" He darted off before Suzume could so much as muster a response.

He made his way to the cafeteria, where he spotted Majikaruman and Hisoka, and upon seeing these people (specifically Hisoka), it was as though his appetite drowned in an ocean. His eyes shifted back and forth.

Hisoka... oh, gosh. Why did he seem so intimidating to him?

Calm down. Hisoka is a human just like you. You can be friends with him. Just... try it.

"U-Um... hey. Can- I sit with you guys? I'm FemDavis. Erm- Femi... Davis. Ultimate Animal Train. Coming- To the station! Umm. Umm. Never mind. Oh god." He facepalmed at how badly the words had come out.

"I... I wanted to- talk to you about something, Hisoka."

Suzume found herself laughing for some reason. "Ah, alright, alright. I'll be less... forward next time. I... love you, too, Megami." She climbed onto the bed and under the covers. Knowing that Megami would be with her, from now on...

It almost made her feel safe.

Almost.

It's funny. Ally? Maybe. Acquaintance? Not quite. Friend? That had been the closest thing to what she was.

Girlfriend?

That door had been opened.

Now I better not let this opportunity slip away, she thought as she began to drift off to sleep.

Femi Davis's POV

Femi was asleep, and thank goodness that after the night in Suzume and Megami's room was timeskipped he would be able to head to the cafeteria and do the character interactions the creator of this post so desperately wants him to have.

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai had stood there, frozen in place. The words pounded down like a storm.
...why HAD she done that? Because she wanted to manipulate and use Koda, obviously!! Majikaruman was threatening her plans.

Her plans. Not a person.

Okay, so she had slightly taken a liking to the girl. But there was no way in hell she cared about her in any way. And it wasn't like that.

But Kowai had found herself strangely shaken by everyone's words. The implications that had been going around.

Nonsense. Kowai ran up to Koda, who seemed to be with Suko. "Hey! Wait up!" she cried. "You weren't going to leave me behind, were you? We need to slam everyone's faces in with doors! RIGHT NOW!!"

"Your first... consensual one?" Suzume murmured. "I--" The implications of that struck her immediately. She wanted to ask Megami what happened. Console her.

But she froze up as Megami looked into her eyes, and her face went bright red. "But-- Megami. I didn't ask you if you wanted it," she babbled. "It was an accident, actually, I- I kind of- fell, and then- but I can't say I'm complaining I think I liked it-"

...what was she saying? Turning into a tongue-tied fool like this?

Was this what people called love?...

Femi Davis's POV

Femi groaned and pushed his face into the pillow, covering himself up with a blanket. He had no business witnessing... romantic tension between an acquaintance and a stranger. If that's what it was.

He remembered something he'd said, the first day he came here. "I-I'm not going to be friends with any of you!"

Now, he couldn't help but regret that statement. He didn't want to trust anyone here. He was scared.

He was scared he'd be a target, once again. A victim, like he'd always been.

He'd just been trying to protect himself. But if he hadn't been so devisive... maybe everyone would be alive.

And that thought was enough to destroy him, more than anything.

Kowai grinned at her, not getting the flirty connotations. "Ohh! Same here! Heheheh. And gee... I don't know what Monokuma would do! Maybe he'd be so mad, he'd have us both executed!"

She snickered. "Maybe Suko as well. DISPOSE OF ALL THE DOOR-SLAMMERS!" she joked. "I... mean, though, not actually. Dying sucks and such."

A flash of... something occurred in Kowai's eyes. I'm not bad. Has- anyone ever said that to me before? Pfft- does- it matter...? She shook the thought away. "You know, that's a GREAT idea!" she whispered. "We might as well hit EVERYONE with the door!!"

She looked at Majikaruman. "Why, hitting people with doors is the reason we have doors! Everyone knows that!" she exclaimed.

Kowai turned and looked at Koda. Ohmygod. She likes using doors as weapons. YES. I think I just found my new best friend!! (IT'S ME YOUR BEST FRIEND FLOW-)

But wow. This girl was such a dork. Kowai couldn't help but giggle quietly to herself.

Suzume blinked rapidly in succession with a perplexed look on her now-reddened face. Her eyes looked rather wide with a sort of... shock a moment. She looked as though her heart had just stopped. Suzume had been replaced with a sort of statue.

"Uum- I- what? I mean. You're. Amazing. Too. Megami." The words came out all choppy. "I- I don't really know what I mean." She twisted the tied shorter lock of her hair around her finger. Suddenly, Suzume lost her balance for shipping reasons and fell forward and-

Suzume inhaled and exhaled over and over again, as though she had been running for an incredibly long time and was only now just beginning to catch her breath. "Megami, I- what I needed to tell you is-" The words stuck in her throat. She sighed.
"There's something about you. Something weird about you. I can't stop thinking of you for some reason? And I don't know what exactly I mean. It's like... in my mind, there's something different about you. Like you feel different from everyone else to me. I don't think I can- really explain the feeling but-"

Femi couldn't hear what Suzume was saying. Of course, he had jammed a pillow up to his ears so as not to interfere with Suzume's privacy. After all, it seemed like what she was saying she only wanted Megami to hear.

Please tell me they're not plotting to kill someone together, Femi thought with a shudder.

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai appeared near Koda, seemingly out of nowhere. How the hell did she keep moving like this? Perhaps she's secretly Bonnie from FNaF, or it could be for shipping reasons!

"Good morniiiing, Koda! And Magic Man, Suko, and Hisoka? This is shaping up to be quite the party!" An eerie eagerness shined in her eyes. "So, we're all going to get breakfast?!"

She ducked behind Koda and whispered in her ear. "Also. Dibs on hitting Hisoka's face with a door. I don't know where I got the idea for that but the idea sounds very enticing."

"Wow. You're hiding your actual talent?" she joked. Well. Then I wouldn't be the only one, she couldn't help thinking. She noticed Koda got herself snapped by a crab. "Ouch! Oh no, are you okay?" She reached over, only for a crab to jump out and pinch her!

"OW!! GOOD GOSH THAT HURTS!"

Kowai blinked and raised her eyebrows, spitting out the crab. A look of some kind... of recognition manifested on her face? Someone was holding something out to her... She smiled at Koda and took the crab from her in her mouth.

Wow, she's already giving me food offerings! She'll be doing me favors in no time! she thought.

Kowai proceeded to consume the softer crab. Her eyes looked wider. "Wow. You're right, that is much better!" She glanced over at Koda with a tilt of her head. "Are you sure you're not the Ultimate Delicious Crab Tiller?"

Femi Davis's POV

[Oh no Femi has decided to become edgy once again so it's time for another weird ambiguous lore flashback that might be explained later]
It was raining. The water came down on the atmosphere in slick, quick droplets. There was a boy standing up on the ground with shaky knees, taking shaky steps towards an alleyway.

He was badly bleeding, and the rain did little to calm his wounds. But he shook at the fear of what he was about to do.

Slowly, he took out the gun. And with tears in his eyes, masked by the rain...

He did what he had to do.

BANG!
[Present Day]
...Femi had made his way into the room. He felt- vulnerable here somehow. He didn't think Megami or Suzume would be likely to hurt him.

And yet... he couldn't let go of that nagging fear. He felt safer, there, locked up in his dorm, alone...

Maybe he needed to calm down. Maybe he needed to...

To try. Curling his hands into fists to try to quell the shaking, he spoke to his dormmates.

"So... um. I guess we're here... hey, guys!"

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume made her way into the room. She was nervous to say the least. Nervous, why?

At the idea of rooming with Megami?

...

But why?

Suddenly, she had an urge. An irrational urge. (Because of shipping reasons or... character development of some kind?)

It seemed she was getting less and less rational by the day. If that was because of Megami...

Shouldn't she stay away from her? She couldn't afford such a thing.

"NO."

She startled herself, by voicing that word out loud. She cupped her hand over her mouth. What?...

Did... the idea of being away from Megami...

Seem that bad?

But... that irrational urge she had.

To talk to Megami about how she felt.

Or how she thought she felt.

Suzume wasn't that great with her own feelings. She preferred to ignore them. They only served to hinder her.

She heard Femi come in and speak. "Yes, I- suppose we are here. Hello, Femi." This felt awkward.

Wait... why was it awkward to also have Femi here? (Because three is a crowd, Suzume 👀)

Femi seemed to slide away in response, with a slight whimper. Had she upset him, somehow?

"Sorry, Femi," she said quickly. "It's just I- reallyneedtotalktoMegamiaboutsomethingthathasbeenonmymindforawhile. Okay?" She said the words so fast they blurred together, which shocked her.

Femi blinked. "U-um... okay." He looked perplexed.

"Megami. There's. Something I-" Deep breaths. Deep breaths. "Something I need to talk to you about."

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai had been pretending to sleep. But she had watched closely (as closely as she could) and listened to Koda and Suko conversing.

Privately, she rolled her eyes about this exchange. How dramatic! And so weird too, honestly... She paused in thought a moment.

But maybe Suko wants something from Koda... and they're trying to get close to her, she reasoned.

That was an idea. Perhaps that had been what had gone on.

Was she really just going to lie here, all night? Never having said a word to either of them?

She guessed so. But why had that thought bothered her?

But Kowai Kurai did not sleep. Her eyes remained open wide the whole night.

Blankets muffled a sound that may have been sobbing, or it may have been laughter...

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume had found herself trapped in her thoughts. Earlier unable to hear the words of those around her.

But now... she found herself unable to drown them out. Something about the matter of bunkmates and... Megami's name?

She blinked a few too many times at this. Bunking with... Megami. And Femi. What an interesting prospect.

Femi... he seemed a rather fragile and emotional person. Awfully fitful and anxious. Heavily focused on self-preservation. So much so he had barely talked to anyone. It seemed he had manifested severe feelings of guilt for what had happened in the days he was trying to protect himself. Suzume wasn't sure what to think of it, but what could she do but forgive him? It was always so very difficult, when you saw them crying...

Megami! Wait, Megami? She was right there? She'd been looking for her! For a while now!!

Robotically Suzume's body went through the motions, and walked its way to Megami. She found herself staring at her, unable to speak.

"So. I'll be bunking with you and Femi?" A million thoughts stirred in her mind and many words threatened to bubble up to the surface. Words such as "I'm glad you're okay" and "I was worried about you", "I was wondering where you were", and "There's something strangely comforting about your presence". Yet she couldn't bring herself to speak them to Megami, and they lingered in her mind, a sequence of cancelled or delayed commands.

She twisted a lock of hair around her finger. It seemed her vocal folds locked and refused to let out words.

But what was a big deal about this? It would be good to be sleeping with an ally.

Femi Davis's POV

Femi was knocked to the floor once again and it was starting to get on his nerves. He wasn't an aggressive person by nature. But this was starting to put him on edge.

...he wasn't sure how to process this. On the one hand, he'd been wanting to reach out to people. He'd already made himself slightly familiar with Suzume.

Suzume. Maybe she'd just felt like she had to. But... he thought maybe he could consider her... a potential friend?

Megami. He didn't know her, but... um- well. It couldn't hurt to get to know someone else, right?

...Suko did scare him. A lot. And they reminded him... of certain things...

He shook the thought away. And, at that moment, attempted to push Suko away. Not viciously, though.

"I-I'm... sorry, Suko. But... it couldn't hurt for- me to bunk with other people, right?" ...why did he feel the need to apologize? It wasn't like he was... Suko's boyfriend or...

...

Where had that thought even come from? Femi failed to notice his face reddening at that moment.

Just when and how had that thought entered his head?

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai took a moment to turn around. Her back had been turned dramatically to Koda, and then she whipped around and-

"Oh! He has? Any particular reason why the three of us?" Kowai asked promptly. "In any case, sounds like a fun idea!"
Sounds like a nightmare. I'd rather die than spend the night with those two. Was this a calculated move on your part, Hisoka?... because it seems like it might be. And I don't like it when you make plans without letting me know about them.

But... that kind of thing would be to be expected of him. All the time Kowai was thinking of this, though, there was merely a smile upon her face.

"But I'm okay with it! If it's okay with you two!" She nodded so vigorously her head bobbed with the effort.

She tapped Suko on the shoulder. "Is it okay with you two, Suko?" she asked.

Hisoka Yamanaku... what are you planning?
