Kowai whimpered. "Aughhhh, I should've known this would happen. We tried, Koda." She clapped her hands to her face. None of it is ever good enough.

Suzume Fujimori's POV


Suzume smiled. "Well, I didn't want that stupid piece of garbage anyway. I just wanted to get this over with." And spend time with Megami too, admittedly. She cupped Megami's hands in her own. "We tried. Good job... Keiki and Niwa? is that what Kiwi means?"

Femi Davis's POV


"That was... a lot more fun than I thought it'd be!" Femi exclaimed, uncharacteristically energetic. He found himself smiling over at Suko. "I think you did a great job, Suko." Wow... it felt so strange saying such words to them. Especially since...

Femi shuddered. How could he forget? Suko... reminded him of something he'd rather forget...

about himself.

And so I arrive like a sudden windstorm at a kindergarten picnic!


Kowai Kurai snickered to herself. This girl, she was so goofy. Could she not take anything seriously? Although, for her sanity, it would probably be best that she couldn't.

Or maybe this was her way of coping with it. Kowai shrugged. "Ah, same here," she grumbled. "But I suppose we have to!"

She nodded and stuck out her tongue too. "Happens!"

Kowai stared over at the crown and spotted Hisoka's irritated expression. "Wow. Garbage, my favorite!" She clapped her hands together.

She frowned, upon hearing that the groups would be assigned. "Okay, Monokuma, I don't like you anymore. I never liked bears. Bears are untrustworthy in my book."

Smart with Bio, Stupid with Love-


Suzume's ears might've pricked, had she been a wild animal. She half-jumped. OUR WEDDING!? She'd heard the rest of what Megami had said, but Megami might as well not have said anything else. What? What? WHAT? MARRIAGE?! They- they- barely started dating. Suzume felt... so confused. Could Megami really... feel so strongly about her?

Suzume groaned in eternal agony upon hearing about the game and its conditions. She was hoping she'd at least be doing this stupid competition with Megami. But it seemed there was a chance that wouldn't happen.

She sighed in frustration, and tensely adjusted her glasses. "Alright. Let's get this over with."


Chihiro Fujisaki/Gundham Tanaka Fusion's POV


"Umm... yyeah. I'm going with Suko," Femi stated awkwardly. He wasn't sure how to feel about Suko... pulling him around like this. But... he was just glad they were okay. Besides. He'd rather be around- someone- he could- maybe consider a friend?

That might be better than some stranger. But... he never gave any of these people a real chance.

Still, he- felt safer with them. For this-- unnecessary competition thing. He just hoped no one else would die...

I don't know what I was thinking, leaving my child behind... now I suffer the curse and now I am blind...


Kowai raised her eyebrows, and began to reach for Koda's hand, but she hesitated. A date... with her. Did she really want that? She'd thought this all to be a part of a plan when she started doing it. She'd thought she could use Koda for her own gain.

But... it felt like there was something wrong with... this. The idea of going on a date with her. It seemer Koda adored her already, somehow. Kowai wondered how someone could grow attached in such a way so quickly, so easily...

Yet she ignored the parts of her that screamed NO!!

Wasn't this... what she always wanted?

Then why- did she still feel so empty?

So tired...

She nodded and silently took Koda's hand, letting herself be pulled down. By someone so much... so much more of an idiot than her...

And yet so much happier.

I forgot what the sheep from Charlotte's Web 2 was called

HIS BOYTOY?! Femi couldn't even shriek out a response before he was promptly dragged off by Suko to Monokuma's event, underneath their arm. As usual, he never had a choice- He never could understand how they could be so-- shameless?? All part of their antics, he supposed... still. It wasn't like he was going to get upset. After all, he was just glad they were okay. Or, seemed to be okay. Because, no, there's no way he could enjoy being... touched like this or talked to like this. No way at all.
"It'll double as a date!" WHAT. WHAT. WAIT WHAT? Femi's face went bright red. This whole... BOYFRIEND thing again- did Suko find it funny to mess with him aboout this?... was that all there was to it?

I feel like a science person. Sciencer? Scientist! Sciencer. Not my best moment.


The polymath of science sighed in frustration. The conversation she had been having with Koun no Megami, her now girlfriend, had been promptly cut short. Drat, she never even got to ask if she had ever solved a Rubix Cube. Guess that would have to wait.

"Oh, good day, Mafia Godfather bear . Yes, we've just been trying to take our minds off of your stupid game for a while," Suzume snapped. She couldn't help it, she felt pissed. Although, admittedly, it was irrational to act upon...

Femi glanced frantically in her direction. He made a cutthroat motion with his index finger slicing across his throat and shook his head. Suzume, although she hardly knew him, understood what he was saying-- DON'T upset the bear! You might end up hurt... or worse.

Suzume was admitttedly surprised at his concern. She guessed human beings rarely failed to surprise her these days... but that gesture. It reminded her, she had to be careful here. She was in a game of death, after all. "Get it? Because-- you're not our biological father, and you brought us all here to die?"

She recalled, suddenly, what Suko had uttered. "It'll double as a date!!" She cupped her hands over her mouth, and as they shook she imagined she was sipping coffee. A date, in a place like this. She and Megami had been on one. Two, if you counted their chat at the beach. Three if you counted when they shared food toge- okay, that was splitting hairs. But the idea of something twisted of Monokuma's, doubling as a date... how... truly horrible.


I can't get attached to people. I can't.


"I care about you and like you, too." Kowai hadn't been quite sure if she'd meant it or not. But that was a step up from the usual, which was it being a deliberate lie.

She whipped up, practically snapping into place at the sight of Monokuma. "Oh! Heyyy. Bear. So what's the point of this exactly? And what do you suppose you gain out of threatening our families? In my case it would..."

She glanced off somewhere momentarily, and then down. "Never mind. Get to the point!"

Kowai heard the statement Suko had brashly made. "A date?" She cocked her head to one side, eyebrows raised. "Don't get me wrong, I won't deny how many of us have been... busy." She glanced over at Koda, and her heart thumped. Out of fear, or out of some kind of liking?

No, the second couldn't be right.

Kowai felt relieved as Koda seemingly didn't hear what she said about her brother. She had no idea how that slipped out, after all these years...

Kowai tried her best not to look shocked. Koda... trusted her? She didn't believe she'd intentiomally hurt anyone? Oh, Koda, Koda, Koda... it... almost made her feel guilty. Of course she would. She had intentionally hurt others before... multiple times.

It was a rare thing for someone to trust her. "I... trust you too," she decided to reply. "Koda- do you- like me? Do you- care about me?"

She'd never asked anyone these questions. She already knew the answer would be no...

A flash of shock and sympathy crawled into Kowai's eyes, at the mention of it being... Koda's sibling. "...It happened to her in a tree? Koda!! It might've not been your fault." She paused. "Or... do you mean someone might get hurt because I'm here?"

She sighed. "I had a brother once... but... things fell apart. And it was my fault too."

Femi felt like he had to be comforted too. But someone had already done that for him, and whatever Suko was going through... it was far worse. How could he be so blind? How could he... not realize how much Suko had been hurting? Never even thought about it...

Tightly, he hugged Suko back, feeling himself quietly stirred to tears. "Suko... it's okay. It's okay. You'll be okay. I'm here."

Kowai Kurai's POV


Kowai looked down. "He sounds like a nice cat. Do you know what happened to him?" she asked. If he was a pet, then there's a chance that... Why was she... feeling guilty? No. Of course she wasn't. She didn't regret what she did for a second.

And to regret it, because of this-- this girl? But why...

Tears brewed within Kowai's eyes, and for once, with her mellow expression, they didn't seem quite so fake.

Suzume Fujimori's POV


Suzume waved her hands around. "Oh! Nonono! That won't be necessary!" she exclaimed. "I mean, I, well... anyway." She inhaled and exhaled deeply. "That must've been horrible... having siblings who pretended you didn't exist unless-- you did something wrong. And I..."

Suzume looked as though she was going to vomit, as she processed the rest of the story. "M-My God. Your entire family... is dead?"

Could... mine be dead too?

Femi Davis's POV


"Yes, Suko. The... Bear's event. Are you okay?" He got down onto his knees near them. He didn't have it in him to feel annoyed about the tap on his nose. They seemed so out of it... what happened?

"Wow, I-" A conflicted expression occurred upon Suzume's face. "That must've been horrible, I'm so sorry." She put her hand upon her girlfriend's shoulder. "My parents were never like that, but- when I was younger, other kids were." She narrowed her eyes. "They always made fun of me because they thought I was "nerdy" and "boring" for liking science so much. To be honest, I think they were just bitter I didn't play with them, and later on go to parties, when it came to high school, or they were jealous of my high grades." She remembered, now, how everyone crowded about and congratulated her, begging to be her friend and patting her on the back, wondering how anyone could be smart enough to graduate so soon. "It was... sickening. The way that as soon as it could be of benefit to them, people wanted to be my friend. PEOPLE ALWAYS WANT SOMETHING OR OTHER FROM YOU." She stopped, her eyes wide. "At least, I always thought that before... but anyway, I- interrupted you. Please keep telling me about it."

"Wow, thanks for helping me up," Kowai replied breathily, looking impressed at Koda's strength. It's to be expected, it's part of her Talent, her mind retorted. "Is the sun... seriously setting right now?" Orange, red. Orange, red. She liked this... the sunset reminded her of-- never mind. "It looks quite beautiful. It really reminds me of something... really important. But I can't recall what it is."

"Yeah, good point there." Suzume found herself taking her lab coat and bringing it over to Megami, draping it around her shoulders. "Would you like to borrow this?" she asked. She didn't know why she got the urge to do this, but the next question came out completely compulsively. "What's your family like, Megami? I never heard about them before."


Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai considered for a moment, looking at Koda's outstretched hand... did she want to say yes? Would the results of saying yes be positive? She did not know, but it came out anyway. "Sure! I guess I'd like that." Even Kowai herself did not know if she'd meant it or not... and that was the strangest thing to her.

Awkwardly, Suzume attempted to make conversation with her girlfriend, who had just scrambled up a tree. "So what do you think Monokuma is intending with this event?" she asked, taking off her unbuttoned lab coat because it was getting considerably warmer for some reason.


Kowai Kurai's POV

"Right. Got it. Moss," Kowai replied, but she barely heard a word of what Koda was saying. She was busy marvelling at her tree-climbing skills. She shook her head rapidly to herself. What? SHE WAS A PRIMITIVE IDIOT WHO WAS BARELY AROUND SOCIETY!! OF COURSE SHE- climbed trees well. But Kowai remembered something, something about her own past. And in that moment, she wondered if they weren't so unalike after all. She climbed up the tree after Koda, or attempted to. "OW!" She got stabbed by a branch. "HOW DO YOU CLIMB THIS SO EASILY?!"

A very flustered Suzume attempted to maintain her composure. She decided to distract herself with what Megami was saying, frowning. "For some reason I'm thinking of One-Punch Man and a reference I can't quite remember..." Probably just the mention of sit-ups. But she swore she did remember something about some kind of robot Megami had just mentioned, Suzume would've gotten the reference but the person writing this post has forgotten what it's referencing. Wait what? "But... that's pretty amazing, Megami." She smiled over at her. Strange.. before Megami came around, never had she smiled so much... Maybe she never had a reason to before.

Kowai chuckled for a second there. "Really? You've had worse falls? I would've thought someone like you have excellent balance. I mean-- you do 38seem to have excellent balance," she said quickly. Was-- she flirting? Just making conversation? But-- having a pretty girl close to her, nuzzling against her- even if she is an idiot and a neanderthal and a dork and a-- Her thoughts trailed off. Internally, Suzume Fujimori was going WHATWHATWHATWHATWHATWHATWHAT MEGAMI. JUST PICKED ME UP. IN HER ARMS. OH MY GOSH. WAIT HOW IS SHE EVEN DOING THIS SHE'S SO MUCH THINNER THAN ME?! And her face went bright red, and in her flustered state, she forgot all about the urgent matter at hand, betraying the logical side of herself.

Kowai glanced over at Koda, blinking rapidly. "Oh... what expression? Did I look upset?" she asked. "If I did, I wouldn't be surprised if-- it was about Suko. Are they going to be okay?" She stared at Koda with wide, pleading eyes.

Suzume Fujimori’s POV


Suzume took Megami’s hand tightly in her own. She couldn’t even think of the whole “consent” thing anymore. It had completely slipped from her mind. Just like it did for her then. Did you ever think about…

She darted out of the library, running to the play with a sort of urgency. “We have to get there. RIGHT NOW.” Her voice was loud, calm, and commanding, with an edge to it, her eyes were wide and crazed with a sort of mad desperation.

Only one thought pulsed through her mind. I have to get there.

Femi Davis’s POV


Femi watched Hisoka go, freezing up. It felt like there was nothing he could do as he walked away…

Then he grimaced, and his eyes widened. His hands flew up to his face, and he gnawed on his fingernails. Suko. How was Suko doing?! He hadn’t seen their recently, and, with Hisoka possibly plotting their death…

He had to warn them. Before… the event. He shuddered. No… he couldn’t let them hurt his family. Not let them take away the only thing he had left. But- he had to make sure Suko was okay.

“Suko? Suko!!” he called out, darting out of the cafeteria. It wasn’t long before he spotted him and screeched to a stop. “Suko… are- are you okay? I haven’t seen you lately. And- I- heard something, recently…” He couldn’t bring himself to say what it was. “Are you okay? You look sick…”

He slowly reached for his “kind-of friend”, like he was trying to calm down a tense cat that was going to die…

Kowai Kurai’s POV


Kowai walked off with Koda, biting her lips. Koda… she wasn’t exactly sure how she felt about Koda. She barely knew her, and yet…

And yet, what was this? Such uncertainty as to how she felt. But she couldn’t afford to feel anything.

Even if it’s all I’ve ever wanted. There’s something more important that must be done…
