Femi Davis’s POV

”A-and… you’ll live too! Right?” He gazed at them hopefully. “Promise you will…?”

Femi was smiling, and smiling, and smiling. He was laughing and crying at the same time… He felt so safe here. He wanted Suko to feel safe too…

He felt like he was back in the pastures. It wasn't a pleasant place, but he was safe there. Safe... Not always happy, but safe...

But... he felt happy here. With Suko. And he wanted it to last. To just let go of his uncertainty and fear for a while.

He heard their heartbeat... it was odd somehow-- but... he liked hearing it...

Kowai Kurai’s POV

Kowai’s face perked up. “Why would you like to know of a place like that?” she asked. Curious… could it be Hisoka wanted to kill someone? Who? And why?...

Or was he implying something else?...

Kowai Kurai’s POV

”Yes! And I see you are as well, which is rather uncharacteristical of you!” Her eyes shone. “I guess you finally found someone who you’re not ‘too good for’, huh?”

Cold and unrevealing as usual, not even phased. Typical Hisoka.

Suzume Fujimori’s POV

Suzume heard what Kowai was saying. Hisoka being unable to find someone… he wasn’t too good for?

…that sounded…

familiar.

Femi Davis’s POV

Femi handed Suko a soda. “Look, Suko, I- just wanted to say- I’m really happy to be here with you. Right now. Like… I know we’re in a Killing Game and all. But maybe, for now at least, can we pretend no one is going to die? Just enjoy the present moment?” He shifted uneasily.

“And I’m… sorry for the things I’ve said to you. And for the times I yelled at you. I’ve- judged you so harshly, and- I barely even knew you, I-” He felt himself almost driven to tears again. "I- I..." He leaned forward and hugged Suko.

Omniscient (Third-Person, but all my OCs’ thoughts are visible)

Suzume heard the conversation of Femi, Kowai, and Suko. She found herself narrowing her eyes. What was that girl up to now? Femi sounded… afraid. Not that that wasn’t normal. But there was something else going on, and she could sense it.

Kowai looked startled as Suko and Femi walked away to the refreshments. So. They were pretty blunt about it, no surprise there. Femi seemed to be quite afraid of her, interesting. That could be a problem.

Suzume thought she’d go talk to Hisoka when she spotted Kowai walking in that direction. She sighed. Never mind, she’d rather not be near that girl. She was very erratic.

Kowai clapped a hand on Hisoka’s shoulder, approaching him from behind. “Hey, Hisokuuu! I see you’re here with someone?” She grinned at him. “I just wanted to see how you were doing!”

Femi looked down at the floor. “Yeah, not really,” he mumbled. Then he stopped looking at the floor and looked at Suko, wobbling. “I-It’s nothing against her! Really! She just-- makes me uneasy. And I don’t know how to tell her that. Thanks for getting me away from her, though.”

He took the soda and his face went red as his hand brushed Suko’s. “I- really appreciate it. Do you want something to drink?”

Femi Davis’s POV

Femi didn’t get a chance to answer before he was dragged into the Party Room by Suko. His mouth upturned rather sleepily into a smile. He found himself holding onto them tightly, as though he were afraid they were going to go…

Don’t go, okay? Please.

In the room, he spotted Megami and Suzume near a foosball table. Hisoka curtly off to the side, as typical of his manner, looking at Majikaruman. All people he felt… relatively neutral towards, except Hisoka, of course. He spotted Niwa, and Keiki, wasn’t sure how he felt about them, but then he saw her.

Kowai Kurai. What was she doing here?! “Oh, hey, Femi! Suko! Koda and I were looking for you!” She waved at the two of them. Femi grimaced; he felt himself beginning to sweat. He held onto Suko a little tighter, and then his face reddened upon realizing he was doing so.

“We wanted to ask you two if you’d come to the party with us!! But I see you’re already here,” Kowai said in a pouting voice, crossing her arms.

‘Yyeah, we- decided we’d- dance together,” Femi half-mumbled nervously. Kowai raised her eyebrows. "Ohhhh. You are?" Femi's eyes widened in realization. Wait, WHY WAS HE TELLING HER THIS!? “Anyway! Um, Suko! You want to check out the refreshments?” he asked hurriedly.

Kowai Kurai’s POV

Kowai smiled menacingly at Femi and clapped a hand on his shoulder. “What’s the rush? Do… you not want to spend time with me and Koda?” She almost sounded a little hurt. JUST A LITTLE!

He’s avoiding me, she thought begrudgingly. Of course he would be. And he is… as well. Not that I should be surprised. She couldn’t help but glance over in Niwa’s direction, and then she looked away.

“U-um, well, I-” Femi looked troubled. He looked to Suko with a look in his eyes that Kowai read as “help.”

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume nodded. "I agree, I like it too." She heard Megami's question about foosball. "No, I- haven't played it before. Dani- I mean, Dad was trying to get me to play it with him sometimes, but I was never interested. He liked sports..."

She got a faraway look in her eyes and then shook it away. “But- we can play that if you like it, of course! Maybe you could show me how to.”

Femi Davis’s POV

(TW: Suicidal thoughts) The way they spoke, it was just so… calm. Were they lying? He couldn’t hear what emotions were indicated in Suko’s voice. “I’m tired. I’m so tired,” he mumbled inaudibly.

Femi cupped his hands to his face and breathed deeply. He just wanted to not understand, for a little while. He just wanted to not understand things like sadness, and pain, the weight of all that was happening. But he had come here like a lamb to the slaughter.

Completely, blissfully unaware of what had awaited him. If only he’d pulled that trigger on himself when he’d had the chance…

Suko. Clearly, there was something about Suko, that he just couldn’t place. He knew very well they were hiding something. But just once, he wanted to stop the paranoia, the anxieties, the overthinking, the fears that swarmed his mind, buzzing, howling, snarling, never stopping…

Just once, he wanted to believe what he saw on the surface. ”I’ll protect you. You’ll get out of this place alive, or my name isn’t Suko Nobu. Wanna go, now?”

Femi took their arm. “Yeah. I’ll- come with you. Thank you… Suko, can- I ask you something? Do you have a family back home to return to?”

There was a certain sympathy to his eyes as he spoke the words. There were so many things he didn’t know about them.

…and yet, he’d only thought of himself and his family. Suko might have a family too. Or maybe they didn’t even have anyone…

I'm tired of not doing Kowai's point-of-view-

Kowai made her way to the party, an unusual frown plastered upon her face. She spotted Niwa. Oh, it's him... and he's with that fussy valley girl bi- "Hi, Niwa! Have you seen Femi and Suko? Koda and I have been wondering where they are, and I'm really tired of the plot not moving forward!"

Kowai wondered where that last part had come from. What was this "plot"?

Femi Davis's POV

"I like you." Femi stopped crying suddenly, the tears hanging off his face like decorative snowflakes, held up by strings of melting ice. "Y-You... you like me, Suko?" He pointed at himself and touched his chest with a shaky index finger. "R-really?..."

He couldn't stand it. He couldn't stand it. He was... a plaything to Suko. And you're also Femi to them, he tried to remind himself. But he didn't care. He just wanted to bite and tear the flesh off his hands, and scream in pain, and bawl his eyes out until he couldn't cry anymore...

"I like you."

...

And they'd asked him to dance. Wasn't that something?

The empty, unblinking eyes as they'd looked at him... almost with an intrigue to them. It was as though he were a guinea pig being experimented on for their entertainment. Or perhaps Suko was a predator, a hawk watching a rabbit. A wolf watching a sheep.

...

But somehow, Femi didn't care anymore. "Ahahahahaha..." he laughed, sniffling and wiping his tears away, forcing himself to his feet. "Of course... I'll dance with you. How could I say no?"

"How could I say no?"

He didn't care anymore. He didn't care if Suko wanted him partially for some little game. He... liked them. He wasn't sure what he meant by that. Maybe it was just a game to Suko...

"Because I--" His eyes searched Suko's face. "I like you. So I'll... go there and dance with you."

(Okay after one more reply from Serend I think Koda and Kowai should discover Femi and Suko here)

Suzume Fujimori's POV

"Oh wow, that's really interesting! And I-" Suzume sucked in a breath. "I'm fine, it's nothing," she lied, glancing away from Megami. "Lovely decor Keiki has, right? No wonder they won the competition," she said quickly.

Femi Davis's POV

Femi swore he felt his heart just stop. His throat swelled up, closed up. The world faded into a blur. Butterflies flew in and out of his stomach, his stomach that kept twisting itself in knots. But the butterflies turned into monstrous flesh-eating moths and began to tear him apart inside. There was a whirlwind of pain and emotion inside him.

His head and heart throbbed and he felt as though he might faint. Suko, you're making me sick. Just like you've done so many times before. How could you?... but oh, it's nothing new really. He wasn't sure why he was surprised. At least they were honest.

Femi knew he'd just been their little plaything. He hadn't known what to make of it at first, but he had seen Suko as they were... a monster. But no. There was something else... wasn't there? Something he wasn't taking into account.

Or maybe he so desperately wanted to focus on the second part.

"Both?" Femi whispered dully, the hurt and shock in his eyes threatening to bubble into tears, drowning him and drowning the world. "Suko, I... I suspected this. I suspected something like this. But I thought... we were friends. ...but no, what am I saying, really? You tried to be my friend, and I pushed you away. At least pretended to try. Why'd you do that, Suko? Wh-why'd you-" He couldn't say anymore. His legs wobbled and gave way beneath him. He clutched for his throat as he felt as though he was suffocating.

Because it sure as hell felt like it.

But then some more words came out, before he could stop them. "I thought you cared about me. I thought-- I thought that I mattered to someone. For once in my life. Have you enjoyed this, Suko? And do... do you even like me for both? IS THAT JUST TO SOFTEN THE BLOW WITH A LIE? I-- I-" This time, Femi took to sobbing, rather shakily. He couldn't believe this. But, oh, he could. How could he have denied it so long?

"So you really did... want to go spend time with someone else? I bet I'm sickening to you, aren't I?... But Suko, that's the funny thing. I DON'T KNOW WHY, BUT I LIKE YOU!! AND I CARE ABOUT YOU! And I- I don't know what way I mean... but I... I thought you cared about me. I thought maybe, maybe it was all a joke but I was your friend and--... you'd just go play with everyone else? Do you... seriously think I'd rather spend time with Niwa than you?"

Maybe I would, at this point...

"I just... I just- I liked you, Suko, I don't... know what I mean but I- bbut I..."

...

"I'm a hypocrite... I... I- I never knew how I felt about you. Sometimes I- sometimes I liked you, sometimes I hated you, sometimes I thought I might love you, and I know it's all really dumb and I-"

SHUT UP. STOP TALKING.

"...but you were never a plaything to me."

But the worst part was...

Maybe being Suko's plaything was all someone like him deserved.

QuoteSuzume Fujimori is a student and participant of the Killing Game taking place at Hope's Peak Academy. She is the Ultimate Scientist. Suzume is a rather cold, apathetic, aloof individual who is rather introverted and quiet. To get a spark in her eyes, though, you need only mention science to her, her greatest passion in life! Suzume adores all kinds of, and every level and aspect of various sciences. It turns out Suzume is not as calm as she may appear. Consistently she is shown to be suppressing her emotions and covering them up with concise and logical thought. As she breaks down more over the course of the Killing Game, this works less and less. It is implied she is hiding something! Suzume is also a rather intelligent and creative individual, able to analyze and give solutions to any number of problems. She is rather socially oblivious, however, and tends to notice the feelings of those around her far too late. Under stress, Suzume is shown to be something of a control freak, relentlessly controlling situations and those around her. She is also shown to be blunt, sarcastic, and to-the-point, telling people things clearly and drily when they need to hear them.

Backstory + Story Development
Backstory
QuoteSuzume Fujimori's biological parents died in a car crash when she was four years old. Scarcely aware of what was going on at the time, she was sent off to an orphanage where she was soon adopted by her two fathers. She had a rather happy and stress-free home life, because her parents deeply loved her and supported her in what she did. One day her parents took her to a science convention, and she became deeply invested in and fascinated by science. At home, she would constantly pore through the textbooks and history books, researching on the Internet. Constantly she would tinker with different things and put together scientific inventions, and research and try out various experiments.

However, it wasn't always sunshine and rainbows for her in her childhood. Her love of science was widely considered boring by her peers from a young age, and so she never really made any lasting friends. Not then, or later on in life. In her early youth, her peers had simply thought her weird and avoided her. Same in elementary. But in middle school, it all changed.

She was constantly ridiculed, and her hard work often torn to pieces or sabotaged by others. She fumed on the inside. Commonly, people would use her just to get a passing grade. As Suzume was constantly being bullied and used by her classmates, she began to develop the mindset people were not to be trusted.

[The rest of her backstory is censored for secret reasons!]

Story Development
Chapter One: Not very drastically changed. Met a number of people, but she is not quite sure she can trust them. Developed some confidence in her mystery-solving skills due to how the trial turned out. Wondering if she can maybe trust Megami? Not very shaken by either Nagisa nor Chika's death, not at first.
Chapter Two: Somewhat drastically changed. Significantly more traumatized by the helplessness of everyone's circumstances of being trapped in the Killing Game, noticably more paranoid and wary for her own life. Grew more attached to Megami. Trustworthy? Unclear. Feelings? Unclear. She finds herself breaking down under all the pressure of what has been happening... Notes to herself that she does not trust Suko, and is rather worried about how erratic they are as an individual.
Chapter Three: She's finally honest with Megami and with herself about her feelings. Still uncertain how she feels about all this. Suzume comes to terms with the fact she does not trust Kowai, and never will. Had Femi open up to her. She's unsure how to feel about this, although he feels to her like the younger brother she never had. Suzume is finally starting to balance her logical thoughts with her feelings, although her guilt about the things she's done brews closer and closer to the surface, threatening to spill over.
Chapter Four: [LOCKED]
Chapter Five: [LOCKED]
Chapter Six: [LOCKED]

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai watched curiously, in deep puzzlement. What was she doing? Was this some sort of special ability of hers from rather intense focus? Kowai wasn't sure if Koda seemed more sophisticated or more confusing the more she knew her. "Hear anything?" she asked.

Femi Davis's POV

With urgency in his eyes, Femi pleaded. "S-Suko! Please. I-" He couldn't take it anymore. "I need to know if you really like me. Or have I been some kind... of plaything for you?" he sputtered. "I- I need... to... to know... please..."

He collapsed to his knees, his hands clapping up to his face. Femi Davis was crying... again. This felt all too familiar...

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume's face flushed. "Y-You're so- cute when you say things like that. You know that, Megami?" she asked, covering up her smiling face with her draping sleeve. "It sounds like you have this party all planned out..."

Oh, Megami. If you knew what I...

A knot formed in her stomach.

What if someone died today?

They were all still stuck in a Killing Game.

They couldn't dismiss the possibility.

What if... someone did die today?

Kowai Kurai's POV

She's lying, Kowai's brain formulated in an instant. She'd known this deceptive behavior before. She'd seen the look in his eyes, the frantic manner, tongue twisting, face reddening.

But she didn't reveal she knew this. "Oh!" Kowai laughed. "Right, haha! I like youuuu, too, Koda!" She didn't say which way she meant. "Let's go find Femi and Suko!"

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai poked Koda on the nose. "Heyyyy, you okay? You look so flustered, and tongue-tied and-" A look of realization occurred on her face, followed by a smug smile. "Ohhhhhhhhh."

Kowai let go of Koda's hand and spun around in a circle. "I get it now! I see!" She giggled.

She walked over and leaned closely to Koda's face.

"You likeee me, don't you, Koda?"

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai tilted her head. "Oh? You did? I don't recall hearing anything." Her eyes blinked at an unnatural pace, the eyelashes fluttering. "You must have great hearing, Koda! Yes, of course we should go look for them! The party won't be the same without them!" She grinned at her and got on her tip-toes and kissed her on the cheek. "Let's go!" She grabbed her hand.

Kowai Kurai's POV

A strange flash of recognition entered her eyes momentarily, and was gone the next moment. Kowai had snickered. "Yeah, you're right! I doubt they'd go without him. It's like he's their pet or something!" She glanced around. "Where are Femi and Suko right now anyway?"

Meanwhile, with Femi and Suko...

Femi laughed uneasily. He... wasn't sure how he felt. Was he doing this just because he cared about Suko? Were they... SERIOUSLY presenting him as-- their boyfriend now? Femi felt as though he had been kicked in the stomach.

No, of course. It was all a dumb gag at his expense.

Suko barely knew him. And all Femi had done was push them away.

He almost vomited. "S-Suko... can we talk for a moment?" he asked very slowly and quietly.

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume trotted right into the party, hesitating to let go of Megami's hand...

"Well. Here we are. I wonder what Keiki has planned?" she questioned aloud.

Suzume blushed a moment, seeing Megami slip into a hoodie. She wasn't quite sure why this made her do so. She nodded vigorously. "I'm ready."

Tightly, she took hold of her girlfriend's hand. "You... look great. Like- really great!!" She shook her head as if to shake off how flustered she was. "Ahem. Okay, let's go."

As she walked with her, she never let go of her hand.

Femi Davis's POV

Femi, despite his appetite, was having trouble eating. He wasn't quite sure why. He...

He felt happier than normal. He wasn't used to this. But if he was happy, why couldn't he eat?

He needed to eat something. The feeling of the grip of increasing hunger, and thirst plagued him... of struggling to make his way to saving himself...

Femi suddenly hurriedly forced himself to eat. He had to hurry, because Keiki's party was starting right away!

...did he want to go?

He decided he did...

Suzume Fujimori's POV

The Ultimate Scientist stilled herself as she stood outside Megami's door, wondering whether to enter. Although, wait, this was her dorm as well. Taking a deep breath, she clicked it open and stepped inside.

"Hey there, Mega." As Suzume stated this she almost facepalmed right in front of her. Mega!? What kind of nickname was that? What did she even mean?

"Like um- you're Mega. Because. You're mega amazing. Mega-mi-zing. Anyway! Should we head to Keiki's party? I heard it's happening soon."

Wait, we?!?

What was she even saying? Absentmindedly, she paced the room with her hands in her lab coat (which she put back on off-screen) pockets, shaking her head.

She wasn't sure if going to Keiki's party would be a good idea.

There was always a possibility...

Always a shadow of a doubt someone would get killed.

And she couldn't let that happen to Megami.

Or to- her.

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai hugged Koda tightly. "Hey, Kodaaa! We should go to Keiki's party!" she exclaimed eagerly. "And bring Suko, right? This'll be so cool!"

Momentarily, she wondered if they should bring Hisoka too.

She despised him, oh, she'd admit that.

But lately...

Her brow furrowed. There was something off about him lately.

And it wasn't like she cared! No, that was stupid!

But...

But what if he was plotting something? Yes, that was it.

Title: Monokuma ate my BBCode

Who is she talking about? Femi wondered. He'd never noticed Koda before... was this what she was like? "Umm- who are you calling an idiot?" Femi asked in a "not mad" tone.
Kowai looked as though she really wanted to flip a spoon. "This is just a guess but I think she's talking about Hisoka!" She smiled in an uneasy way. "After all, who else could she mean?"

"Oh... um- right. Hisoka. Haha!" Nope, I don't know anything about Hisoka Yamanaku! He wasn't plotting your death and warning me about you!

His eyes wandered over to Suko and he felt his heart crack like glass knocked against the pavement.

And you, too...

Okay I'll stop using joke titles maybe Femi Davis's POV

Feelings... for them? Yeah. But not sure what kind of feelings!! Return them?!??!

Discuss our- wedding!?

Femi, had he been holding something at that given moment, looked so startled that if he had been holding something he had dropped it. Definitely dropped it. Out came his voice, creaky and quiet.

"Y-Yeah! Of course... yep, ready. Suko. Can we talk later?"

Of coursr they were just messing with him.

That's all there'd ever be to it.

LOST TO THIS MONSTER TO THE MAN BEHIND THE- okay, I lied-

Kowai waved her hand in front of Femi's face. He was unresponsive. It was as though her hand hadn't even existed, like she was a ghost of some kind.

I am NOT just a ghost.

Her eyes caught Hisoka leaving. He seemed to be acting rather strange.

Oh brother.

Just what had the Game done to his head now?

Well I know you lay in bed, contemplating your own death!

Suzume was about to make her way to the cafeteria. She saw Megami and her head tilted very slightly to its side. "Hey- so... I guess we should be going to eat," she said with a sad smile. "It was... nice spending time with you today, Megami. Would you like to accompany me to the cafeteria?"

She couldn't help but ponder it now. Introducing Megami to her parents.

You lnow. Because of inviting your significant other over for dinner?

Her mind couldn't help but go there now...

"Every inch of me is charred! God, what happened to my heart!? I'm about to fall apart-"

Kowai stiffened. "Yeah," she muttered darkly. "Truly horrible, if you ask me." But then her face lit up. "Which is why it's a good thing Suko id probably joking! Riiight, Suko?" She elbowed them sharply, winking not-so-subtly.

"Something doesn't feel right... something feels wrong..."

Femi buried his face in the table. Did Kowai HAVE to embarrass him like that? Ugh...
But maybe Suko was joking. I mean! They- didn't see Femi like that! Right? Haha- of course not! See Femi like that.

Femi was nervously digging his nails into his skin. His eyes stared avoidantly at the table.

"Oh!" Kowai exclaimed. "Well, being called a boytoy means-- it means-"
Why... why was she having difficulty with this? Femi was hiding his face with his scarf.

"It means a man who has his body used by someone else for seee-" Kowai trailed off.
Femi pulled his sweater over his head. His stomach felt queasy.

Professor Oak's POV
"A ship name?" Suzume asked quizzically. "What's that, Megami?" It seemed like Megami had numerous knowledge at her disposal, clearly beyond her understanding.
Voodoo Dolls Are Cool
A hushed expression came.upon Kowai's face. She'd never heard anything like that before... it was okay.
It was okay.
Kowai heard Suko's ringing voice, Koda's words, the look she gave.
Femi was stuttering and sputtering like a hissing tea kettle.
What could be the harm?
She shrugged in reply. "Oh, sure thing!! It could be fun!"
Really, it could be fun!!
WHAT THE HECK SUKO WHAT THE HECK
Femi looked as though he was boiling over. His face was flushed bright red as Suko said BOYTOY and hooked his arm like this. CALM DOWN CALM DOWN CALMDOWN.
Did Suko not know... the meaning of boundaries? He sighed.
Strangely, he wasn't sure if he was truly mad anymore.
Maybe it was... seeing Suko like that earlier.
He didn't know. "Great, yes!! You can eat with us!" Woo. "Awesome!"
