"Um, Suko! I don't think anyone is interested in the closet!" Seriously. That sounds... oh, no. Not again. WHY DID EVERYTHING REMIND HIM OF-

Femi gripped the sides of his head and began breathing very quietly...
(Poor Femi seems to have a trauma he's reminded of from everything someone get this lad a therapist)

Kowai heard faintly what sounded like a closet door slam. "Umm- we should probably be getting back now," she said quickly. "Don't want to miss out on the game! You coming?" She tapped Koda on the forehead.

Suzume looked over at Megami, who was visibly freaking out. Oh no. Did she have something she didn't want anyone to know about too?... She put a hand on her shoulder. "Megami, are... you alright?"

What. Kowai wasn't sure if she'd heard correctly. She'd suspected this, and yet it still shocked her to hear it. Koda... loves me? No.

No, she's clearly lying! But--

There wasn't a ghost of a light in her eyes as she responded-- "Koda, I..." Her eyes flitted back and forth in hesitancy, and her fingers clenched at her skirt. "I LOVE YOU TOO! Seriously, you're super cool and sweet and amazing and I've never felt so understood by anybody before! Before you! And we- we get each other?"

She dashed forward and hugged her tightly. "I don't care if you've got some disorder or that you're kind of a total weirdo!! People think I'm a total weirdo too!!"

She is such an idiot.

"Oh, um, well-" Kowai was at a loss for words. If she told Koda what Moonling told her it might start a serious internal conflict-

She grinned mischieviously.

"Oh, nothing much, really! Just that you think about me all the time... that you love talking to me... that I'm the greatest thing that ever happened to you," she purred out, swaying her hair from side to side and fluttering her eyelashes.

"She didn't say all that," Suzume muttered.

Kowai ignored her. She looked innocently over at Koda. "So, yeah, nothing much, that I don't already know!"

Kowai looked genuinely surprised. Wait. So Koda HADN'T been pretending to like her? "Er... yes. That might be a good idea. I'm worried about her!" she cried. "Did Hisoka bother her THAT much? When I get my hands on him... " The anger left her voice and was replaced by an unblinking voodoo doll-like smile in a moment. "So can I see her?"

I'll be honest this Moonling character freaks me out.

Suzume Fujimori's POV


"Note to self. The Jungle Book wolf-person apparently has some kind of disorder that activates during aggression sequences," Suzume murmured. Where was her notepad?!?

Femi Davis's POV


Femi quietly worried for Koda, Hisoka, and... someone else's sanity. Who was that outside the room again?

Femi exhaled a sigh of relief. Really? Suko was... really okay? And then his eyes widened and his face went pale. "W-wait- learn my secrets? Truth or dare?!" Femi looked as though he was going to fall ill. "Uum... that- sounds great!" He let out a wheezy laugh that didn't sound genuine.

He noticed someone leaving the room. He didn't know who she was but god... the way she looked... the dead face, the hollow eyes...

What had happened to her?

Then Femi was jolted back by Suko's voice. "UM! SUKO- I don't think Niwa would like being locked in a closet very much," he mumbled. And then he pondered it a moment. "Wait... would you?"

Kowai Kurai's POV


Kowai glanced over in Koda's direction. Ohhh, she had a disorder? That explained a lot. (KOWAI SHUT UP) And it seemed she hated Hisoka about as much as she did.

Although, she was much more open about it. Which wasn't smart at all. But Kowai had a reason for proposing this game. If she played her cards right with truths and dares, she could be careful she didn't reveal much, while learning a lot about everyone here.

And maybe... momentarily she caught Hisoka Yamanaku in her vision -- she could get some information.

Kowai giggled and shoved Suko. "Let Keiki say what the dare is, you goof!"

Actually. Wait. Koda seemed on the verge of a mental breakdown. And so did someone outside the room Kowai didn't recognize. Strange.

"Hey, uhhh... Koda? You okay?" Kowai asked.

Suzume Fujimori's POV


Suzume began to feel claustrophobic.

It wasn't that there was no room for her to move, no room for air within the room. But. Everyone was here, talking, talking, talking...

She sighed. She wasn't so sure she wanted to get to know them all in this way. It might be practical to not get killed though.

Not get killed...

Was someone really still going to die?

Of course. Don't let your guard down for a moment.

She frowned in Suko's direction. "It may not be wise to shut Niwa in a closet for ten minutes. He may suffocate to death, and then Keiki would be guilty of murder. Additionally, it should be their idea." She adjusted her glasses.

"I hope we get to play foosball later," Suzume whispered to Megami.

She wondered if there was anyone in this room she might truth or dare...

One thing's for sure though.

She had secrets she didn't wish to tell, and so did everyone here.

And this helped her to draw the conclusion that made her blood turn to ice.

This is a mistake.

Kowai frowned thoughtfully... then her face lit up.
"I've got an idea! What if we get everyone together to play a game of Truth Or Dare? It'll be fun! And embarrassing! And great for--" Kowai searched for the words. "Something?"
The words Kowai was looking for were "shipping reasons" but there's a limit to how much the fourth wall can be attacked-

She raised her eyebrows but nuzzled Koda back. Is this... some kind of act? To get me to do something? Because obviously, she doesn't like me. People are literally always scared of me, seriously...

Maybe Koda was that dumb. Believing she actually liked Kowai.

"HEY EVERYBODY!! UP FOR A GAME OF TRUTH OR DARE?"

Suzume Fujimori's POV


"Perhaps. Megami and I were just about to play foosba-" She stopped. Oh. Kowai spoke. Well. It was a good idea though...

Her eyes lit up as she spotted Koda, and Niwa was saved. For now.
"KODAAA! Hey!" Kowai ran over to her. "I missed you! What happened?"

Omniscient POV


Suko’s arms, around his neck… the only sound he could hear was the loud thudding of his own heart. Feeling Suko’s lips pressed to his… He felt like a drop of water slowly evaporating…

Then as Suko pulled back, his eyes widened. He tapped his fingers to his lips. “Wh-what did- what did I just- oh my gosh, Suko, I’m so sorry- I didn’t even- make sure that was what you meant, I- I didn’t mean to- I-”

He drew out a breath he’d barely noticed he was holding in. “That was… something, I-”

I’ve never kissed anyone before. And I- I just… I kissed Suko. Just now. WHAT IF THEY HATE ME!?

“A-Anyway!! We should- probably dance, right?” He laughed to himself. He hoped they hadn’t minded…

No, they hadn’t minded!! Right? It didn’t look like they minded…

Kowai inhaled. She supposed she should go see Koda. But something kept prodding at her… what had Hisoka meant? A place you could observe everyone in the party…

She walked over to Niwa and hugged him. “See you later, Niwa!”

Femi heard Kowai’s loud and obnoxious voice ring across the room. He noticed her hugging Niwa. “Hey, Suko! Uh… I just noticed something- how Niwa and Kowai both have purple hair? That’s kinda a cool coincidence, isn’t it? Do you think they’re related or something?” he joked. I mean, the shades are really different. So probably not.

“Oh, it sounds like it’s- very important to you, Megami,” Suzume replied. “I didn’t really have anyone who was interested in anything I liked either. Except, well, my parents weren’t really interested, but… they supported me…” She waved her hand as though to wave the memory away. “Forget it. Let’s play.”

Femi froze. No one had ever said such words to him before. He almost instinctiviely believed them a lie. Eventually, he managed to wipe his tears and contain himself.

"I- I want to go on a date with you, too, Suko..." Most precious person here. I won't abandon you. Femi almost giggled. The... the way they talked was so- goofy sometimes-

But... to hear that...

His eyes widened as Suko drew close to him. Wwait... did he want to- what? Did he want to...

KISS?!??!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!???!?!??!??!

Oh no, he could feel his face growing warm. And as Suko's eyes gazed into his own...

He couldn't control himself and he cut Suko off by locking lips with them.

Suzume Fujimori's POV


Suzume had her index finger and thumb held up pensively to her face and she nodded with vigor. "Ah, that makes sense. I think I understand. How long have you been playing this for, Megami?"

Femi blushed as Suko looked into his eyes. Duckie?! They sure seemed to like comparing him to animals! And then he winced."Cr-Cruella Di Ville?" he stammered. "Isn't she that-" He felt Suko's nose press up against his and he was abruptly interrupted.
LLAMB??!? SKINNED?
His eyes widened. Did... did... Suko know?
No. They couldn't. Calm down.
He sighed. "Have- you danced before, Suko? I hate to burden you, again. But... I've never done it before. At the school events I-"
Memories flashed in his mind like lightning. He was hiding in the bathroom, washing the blood and tears away from his face... hiding from all the other kids. He hadn't had a date, not even someone to go with him as just a friend.
But then suddenly a hand reached out to him, only to realize-
Wait. That wasn't part of the memory. He came back to reality. It was just Suko.
"I-- I didn't have a date. No one wanted to go with me. I was... I was hiding from all of them. Because they- I-... never mind..." He was shaking.
"Suko... are- you sure you like me? Are you- just taking pity on me? No one has ever... ever-"
A quiet sobbing ensued. Damn it. Couldn't he just keep his calm? Just once?
WHY DID THE PAST ALWAYS HAVE TO RESURFACE?! Why couldn't... why couldn't...
SUZUME FUJIMORI'S POV
Her face immediately brightened. "DEAL! Okay, so... how do we play?" Suzume asked, looking numbly at the control rods. "Do we move these somehow? To do what?"

An inkling of doubt lurked in his mind, that Suko was being truthful. But he did his best to ignore it. You’re just overthinking, you’re just overthinking…
Couldn’t they have one nice night together? “That sounds like a great idea!” Femi replied, laughing as he went with Suko. And then he thought of Hisoka…
Hisoka… was he okay? He shook the thought away.
“I- don’t think I’ve ever had one of these before. How do you open it?” he asked sheepishly.

Suzume Fujimori’s POV


”No, Megami! I’d gladly play it with you,” she told her quickly. It seemed Kowai was no longer speaking with Hisoka, she noted. What had they spoken about?...

Kowai Kurai’s POV


What is Hisoka planning? Kowai paced the floor. Was he hinting something to me? And she’d seen the look on his face. The undeniable hatred.

Oh! She didn’t care, of course not. No. She’d never care about anyone or anything.

Everyone was always disgusted by her.

That’s how it always was.

“I want Koda,” she found herself stating mournfully, and then clapped her hand over her mouth. WHAT!? Did she just say such a preposterous thing sincerely? She barely knew that girl! That- that idiot.

The dumbest person she’d ever met.

Why?

Because she actually believes she cares about me.
