An intense worry burned in Suzume's eyes, as she made her way to the elevator, mixed with shame. "I....I acted so rashly. And now, everyone is to pay the price. I'm so sorry..." She swore to herself, in that moment, that she would make up for it. She'd figure the whole trial out, she'd condemn Femi's murderer and get the rest of them out of there alive.

Only time would tell if she would succeed. Time that was increasingly burning away, disintegrating to ashes.

A dark look came upon Suzume's face. Her vision looked clouded. Slowly, she cracked her knuckles. Normally she'd try to conduct the investigation, and advise everyone where to look. But right now, she just couldn't.

She dove right at THE BEAR with her fists. "YOU! I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU!" she screamed. "YOU THINK YOU'RE SO GREAT, YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST CONTROL ALL OF US? Get us to play your stupid games, huh? Hahahahaha. Well, guess what, YOU STUPID STUFFED TOY? YOU CAN'T. I'M SENDING YOU TO THE DEEPEST DEPTHS OF HELL WHERE YOU BELONG!"

Tears of fury poured down her face as she attempted to pound at the beast. She couldn't take it anymore. She just couldn't...

"I told you not to go," she sputtered. "I just- I..." Suzume inhaled, accidentally taking in the excess smoke and coughing. She adjusted her glasses, fighting to stay calm. But she just felt more and more like she was going to be sick. Like she was sick.

For once, she felt bad for Suko. She didn't think they were an erratic wildcard. She didn't think they were a ridiculous lunatic. She didn't think they were nothing but a maniac. She saw... she saw a wounded soul who had just lost someone very close to them. Who blamed themselves for what happened.

~~Just like me...~~

"Everyone... we- we have to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. We're all dying now. We're all being killed. We're all turning on each other. We have to struggle to maintain order. Maybe..." She hesitated. "Nagisa was naive, but maybe he was right. We need to stick together. We need to find out who did this, and NEVER LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN. We let our guards down as she did. But he was right about one thing. We need to all stick together, and prevent anyone else from being killed. And then maybe... one day, we can get out of here. But first... we have to find out who did this. SO LET'S INVESTIGATE."

She was kneeling over Femi's dead body, staring at it with a perplexed expression. She heard voices. Distraught ones. And why wouldn't they be distraught? Just look... look at what happened.

Look at what happened when we separated, and partied joyfully. As though this weren't a Killing Game. Just look at it!

Suzume ran over to Megami and hugged her tightly, a few tears slipping their way out. "Is... is this real? Is he really... I didn't- I barely knew him, Megami. But I know one thing." A fierce look of fury came into her eyes. "He didn't deserve this... he didn't. And whoever did this will pay." Her fingers subconsciously grabbed tightly at Megami's clothes without realizing it. "He didn't deserve this..."

Kowai slowly, shakily approached Femi's body. He was really... gone. Just the other night, he'd been alive, running far away from her. And now, here he was... dead. Just like that...

Suzume Fujimori darted in the direction of the Party Room. Her eyes watered from the smoke. Ohgodohgodohgodohgod OH GOD!! A body has been discovered. A body... a body...

She wiped away her watering eyes with her lab coat sleeve. Slowly, she made her way into the room. She felt like she was going to vomit. There was a hunched-over figured in the room, who was half sitting up. The charred remains of a sweater, a bullet-hole-ridden scarf, and most damning of all, a black-and-white flower crown atop the head of a charred-beyond-repair fleshly face...

She had barely known him, and yet she found her eyes filling up with tears, and herself on the verge of vomiting...

The anxious boy who had always been so twitchy was now so horrifically, unspeakably still. He had never been safe...

Kowai Kurai's POV

Kowai's eyes widened, and she darted over to the Party Room. "WHAT'S HAPPENING? Th-there's a fire?" she stammered, her hands clutching at her clothes. "A BODY? Someone- someone died?"

She found herself at the entrance, subjected to the same sight as everyone else. The limp, charred body of Femi Davis.

A curious look fixed its way upon Kowai's face. "I guess we could talk! That's a good idea!" Suddenly, she felt Koda's lips on her cheek. She touched her cheek where Koda had kissed it. Curious...

She'd-- never been touched in an affectionate way such as this before. Or had she?

Memories stirred within her mind that she was quick to quell. She inhaled, her face going slightly red.

"Aww, youuuu. Koda, did you just kiss me on the cheek? You really are bold when you put your mind to it!"

Although....honestly, I'd expect the Ultimate Athlete to be bolder...

Kowai hummed to herself, frowning in deep thought. Finally, she came to a conclusion.
"Hey! Koda! I have an idea! Maybe we should leave the sand piles untouched. So we don't disturb the crabs. But as for the rest of the room..." She took to placing and replacing things rather carefully.

Suzume Fujimori's POV
