Akora had fallen asleep, half passed out on the floor. She mumbled something, and lifted her head. Darcy had left. Akora couldn't help but feel gleeful, a smirk on her face. Good thing she still had that bag.

Akora washed her hands and pulled her sleeves back down, face twisted with a half smile as she quickly tended to the mess of blood she'd left everywhere.

Akora, upon finishing her pile of glass put it into a separate bag. She washed her hands and came back in. She smiled. Feels nice to help someone again, through this pain.

Akora sighed with relief. "You can sleep. I'll clean up the mirror."

And with that, she began to scrape a pile of glass together.

"It's fine." She reached into her bag, pulling out a roll of bandages. Grabbing a tissue, Akora dipped it into a vial labeled "antiseptic". She wiped at Darcy's hand. "Sorry if this hurts. I need to make sure there's no glass in your hand at all."

She finished, stuffing the bloody tissue into a small plastic bag. "Your hand's fine." She said, bandaging it gently. "You won't need these bandages for long, just enough to help the blood clot so all the little wounds can close."

"How do you feel?" She asked Darcy.

Akora waved to Solaro as she stepped into her dorm.

She closed the door, and her eyes immeadiately flitted to someone on the floor. Who- Darcy? They had a bloodied fist, and glass was scattered like snow. Akora ran over, alarm in her eyes. "What the-"

She tutted a little at the broken mirror. She'd clean that later. "C'mon, lets get you to sit on your bed."

Akora opened her eyes. She let go of her fistfulls of hair, tears brimming in her eyes. Running over to Solaro, she butted her head into her shoulder with a pleading look. Solaro glanced at the girl, and smiled.

She wrapped her arms around her, humming a melody with a lilt suggesting it was meant to be calming. Akora sighed, and relaxed a little.

Solaro let Akora free of her embrace, smiling. Akora fixed her face, profusely drying her eyes on her sleeve.

"What's wrong, Akora?" The child brushes messy orange hair out her her eyes, huffing at the wind, howling and swirling and pushing her hair in her eyes.

Akora sniffles, rubbing her face. "Tori pushed me!" She squeaked, teary eyes glistening. Solaro noticed a small graze on Akora's left hand. Akora's slightly older cousin, rough-and-tumble Tori, was a bossy brat.

Solaro flared indignantly. "Rude!" She stomped angrily. After flattening an ant hill, she looked up at Akora's reddened face. "Woof!" She said cheerily, smudging away a tear sliding down Akora's cheek. Akora's face twisted from a frown into a grin. "Meow!"

Solaro grasped Akora's hand. "Lets go throw pillows at 'er!" She squealed excitably.

"Okay then!" Akora agreed.

Akora stared blankly at the horror. She opened her mouth, but nothing came out. She closed her eyes and grabbed some of her hair, tugging it hard but not pulling it out. She gagged.

Solaro seemed unfazed, until it became apparent that she had spaced out, her eyes staring weirdly at the stage. Upon somehow detecting it was over, she shuddered and turned away, crying a little.

Akora snarled angrily at Lucian. "Don't say that!" She clapped a hand over her mouth, guilt flooding her facial details. "Sorry." She said quickly, shaking her head. "You shouldn't have died. You're a nice person Lucian - Most of us" She flashed a glare at Mei, smirking and being all stupid and infuriating. "respect you. You're a good person, and undoubtedly a just-as-good therapist. Stop taking it out on yourself because you didn't realize. Trust me, I didn't either." Akora admitted quickly.

Akora nodded, anger replaced by sympathy. "I'm sorry you have to go through this, Lucian." She said, dipping her head. If Mei doesn't stop, I'm a criminal. She snarled, looking in Mei's direction.

Akora's head was pounding. She was seething. "Shut up Mei. Do you expect he KNEW?" Akora growled. "Do you expect he thought 'Oh, this could be a killer? Or even is now!' No! Lucian can trust. You might trust, despite being me doubtful you'd like anyone for a purpose other than being able to manipulate them for an alibi, but nobody would trust you enough to let you in their dorm." Akora narrowed her eyes. "You need to shut up." She said quietly, so low, barely audible. "Or find yourself being murdered - or suspected." This girl could be the death of us all.

"Yes." Akora and Solaro said in unison.

"Well- Alibis? I was in my dorm before the Night period." She said nervously. What if they don't believe me?? "Darcy, I think thats their name, is my dormmate. Therefore, I have their alibi too..." Akora offered.

"I was in my dorm too. Futatabi's my dormmate." Solaro said quickly. "I was asleep almost immediately."

Solaro and Akora met eachothers eyes. Solaro's personality had flared, growing like a blaze, which honestly was true according to her fire-orange hair. Akora narrowed her eyes a "don't" look in her eyes.

Akora huffed crossly. "May we not make random accusations?" She growled. The first strong emotion shown from her. "We need to compile our evidence before we decide to scream at eachother." Akora looked at her feet, muttering something infuriated. This was unusual, considering the girl was usually a quiet, obedient pacifist.

Akora frowned. "Didn't Horatia stab you with a leek, Sawyer?"

"Yeah!" Solaro piped up suddenly. "Might he have killed her, as like, a grudge?"

Akora shook her head. All this talk about murders and being unfazed my death. Atleast Akora had a good reason to be fine with gore and death and blood. And... The other reasons. Akora's gaze flickered to her arm, cloaked by a sleeve. Everything under there hidden. Hidden. Like the murderer... But not for long. Akora had the feeling everyone's secrets would eventually be exposed.

...

Just a hunch.

"I agree." Akora frowned. "But who?" She shook her head.

Jeez okay, Solaro-

Solaro frowned. She'd been listening, being a pacifist (unusual, much) and saying nothing. She had nothing anyway. Although, she hated being useless. Whatever. She'd stay out of it for now. She didn't want to cloud the water.

A small hiss. That was not her metaphor. Stay out of my head. She growled throatily to them.

"It was found in the morning, right?" Akora sighed thoughtfully. "And the blood was dry. I'd say it is basically impossible she was murdered an hour to thirty minutes before discovery of her body." She frowned.

Akora resurfaced, and clawed "muck" out of her face. She had to be a survivor - like her mother. She gave a small gasp, and realized she had been holding her breath.

"Well,-" She paused, surprised she had been able to talk at all. "Who saw her last? A-and, when was she found? It could determine roughlt about when she died, maybe?" Akora offered nervously.

Akora had stayed quiet - not from disgust, but from the despairful prickles of dismay stabbing through her like teeth or claws or quills. It was like when she messed up during an operation. Not that she ever did! Akora was perfect and would never mess up! Not often, atleast- She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. It wasn’t because of disgust, no. She’d seen birth, organs, and lethal yet painless toxin being injected into an animal. She felt no disgust. So what was the cause? Perhaps fear. Even for Akora, this was an unacceptable new level of pain. Painful death. Asphyxiation and drowning and burning and bleeding out slowly. Permanent sleep. A worse effect then a small, permanent mark, concealable under a sleeve. Invisible… Similar to her. Someone boring and unworthy of attention. Akora pushed the thoughts away. She bowed her head, staring at the ground mutely. She wanted to make sure this game could end. The entire purpose of this “game” was for most of them to die. If it was over, nobody would die anymore.

Akora uttered a silent cry of defeat. She knew she couldn’t help if the words wouldn’t come out. She tried to pull herself up and out of the terror she was wading in, but like a murky swamp, it stuck to her legs and dragged her down, and she felt herself slipping out of view as she plunged into the mud - the despair.

Akora sat down quickly and quietly, yawning and putting her head on the table. She mumbled something to Solaro, who promptly sat beside her.

Solaros eyes widened. "Don't tell me-" She began, but Akora cut her off. "Shhh. No. I'm just tired, okay?"

Solaro raised an eyebrow.

Something caught her attention though. Someone running out. Did he have drawings on his face? She stifled a laugh, squishing her feelings into the mental box that she always did when she walked on to the stages. Don't wanna be rude, Solaro! No need to give them a reason to murder yoou~! Solaro scowled at herself. She wished she could be half as calm as Akora, who had also seemingly noticed but kept a blank stare, eyes unimpressed.

Focusing on her own expression, she realised her face was twisted into a half-grin half-worried-frowny-thingy.

Akora's skin prickled. Lies- Lying- LIARS- She hissed under her breath. "Alright. Fine by me." She turned away, eyes flashing with a sudden strong emotion. Hatred? Self hatred?

She ran over to Solaro, whilst fiddling with the satchel on her side. "Are you good? What'd he say? Do I need to hit him?" Solaro growled quickly.

"No- I'm fine." Akora gripped Solaro's arm, hard.
