Teeth chattering, she huddled on the circular couch (which was really quite comfy), trying to wrap her mind around the recent events. Parents dying from saving her from criminals with superpowers? Check. Random shapeshifting stranger part of the now so-called criminal Squad One taking her in? Check. Discovering her parents had had powers? Check. And a million other things that she couldn't quite process yet. Placing her hands over her temples, Mattie breathed deeply, trying to keep the bubble of emotions from bursting. All this had happened because of her. Her powers. She let out a sigh of disgust, feeling the flames start up in her palm. Splaying her hand, the flames' light flickered across the walls, casting her shadow behind her. "Ignis," she mouthed the Latin term, focusing on letting the flames burn brighter. Did her parents know? How she trained so hard to not burn the entire street down? It didn't do much in the end. They'd both died by fire, but not by Mattie's hand. The flames in her hand died as Mattie's throat went dry. She choked back a late sob. There was no time for mourning. She had to avenge them. As her mind burned angrily with images of her parents dying, Matilda remembered their last gifts. She scrambled to the beanbag chair, yanking her suitcase to the floor and zipping it open. Her belongings were flung frantically and without restraint as she searched for the last two parcels. Mattie cautiously untied the two parcels, as if they were fragile. Out went the beautiful cloak of shimmering aurora purples. Out went her tunic and trousers. And finally... The final parcel was opened with trembling fingers, slipping and barely managing to grip it. The wrapping fell to the ground the same time as a tear escaped the young girl's rapidly blinking indigo eyes. Their final present to the daughter who was born from the heart, not the stomach. A simple purple mask which shimmered exactly like her cloak glinted in the dim light. As Matilda lifted it closer to her face to examine it, a small brown packet fell out of the interior of the mask. The blue-haired girl reached down to pick it up, pulling off the brown string keeping the packet together. Mattie's heart hammered loudly against her chest as she unfolded the papers. One glanced was all she needed. "We left Squad One today..." Indigo eyes were slammed shut. Keeping her vision to zero, Matilda hastily folded the papers back into the packet, fumbling with the string. She couldn't take any more information now. Her brain would explode, she was sure of it. Impulsively, she fit the mask onto her face, blinking in surprise as it fit her perfectly. Her parents wanted her to be a hero, and had even provided a mask for her. No, not just a mask. Matilda shot a longing look at the clothes, fitting the pieces together in her mind. She was tired now. The adrenaline had passed and her eyes hurt from both crying and sheer exhaustion. Matilda barely managed to pack everything away securely in her bag before dragging herself to the bed, almost automatically passing out. [Read more] |

Keelin was not even remotely amused. No, just...no. The dark-haired girl glowered menacingly at the semi-transparent being that obviously towered over her. In fact, if the ghost even cast a shadow, they'd be shading her from the sun's glare. "That, in no way, is funny, Carter," She declared, keeping up the death glare. Despite the evident fact that the ghost was...well, a ghost, Carter shrank back in terror. He had been a very timid teenager even back when he was alive, and Keelin pretty much terrified him. "I-I'm so-so-" The poor boy stammered. "GET OUT!" Keelin hollered at him, her hand flicking a single pocketknife out of her jean pocket, flashing threateningly in the sunlight. Carter let out a pathetic whimper before scampering away. Keelin let out a sigh of frustration before bending her knees and sitting down on the sidewalk. Those ghosts....why wouldn't they just leave her alone? As if the town needed any more proof she was a freakazoid. Plus her nightmares were getting worse. "We're coming..." Keelin shuddered, the cold feeling washing over her. Ever since that damn accident. No, she couldn't think about the accident. She just couldn't. "Okay, toughen up," She murmured to herself, pulling herself up halfheartedly. The sunlight seemed to warm her a bit as she forced back the horrible memories. "You can't hold us back for long," The voices seemed to cackle. [Read more] |

Raeyn let out a growl of frustration before turning on her heel. Really? She was gone for less than half an hour and they were already being ambushed? Sure, a majority of the Wardens were barely a century old, but really? They couldn't hold off a few scattered groups of enemies? Raeyn put three fingers to her lips and blew. A piercing whistle carried through the entire base as the Beacon glowed even brighter, alerting everyone of the breached Border. With a deft twist of her foot, the nearby shadows lurking around the pillars lurched towards their new master. The next second, she was speeding towards the breach, the shadows withstanding even the harsh sunlight beaming down on them. Raeyn could see the border now. Fights were breaking out in small circles. Out of the corner of her eye, a Warden of Water blasted a humanoid rock creature with a high-powered burst of water. Nearby, a Warden of Nature played their flute, making plants emerge from the barren ground, growing vines as thick as a leviathan body in a matter of seconds. It wasn't enough. Raeyn joined in the fight, the shadows toppling enemies left and right. The sunlight seemed to dim as the Warden of Darkness mercilessly let loose once more, feeding the shadows with the energy of their enemies. "Power is addictive," A voice whispered in Raeyn's ear. The dark-haired Warden halted in her attacks, recalling the warning words of someone she had once known so well. She couldn't let her power overtake her, or else it would be her ultimate destruction. She'd known that even before she accepted her role as a Warden. With evident restraint, Raeyn lashed out once more at the increasing number of enemies. A full-out attack in broad daylight...of course. Their generals knew Raeyn played quite a role. With her powers indefinitely weakened, the Wardens as a whole also were. Each Warden could turn the tides just by themselves. Each Warden weakened was an advantage. "Damn it," Raeyn cursed as an arrow stung past, grazing the side of her face. Almost immediately the cut healed from the arcane magic the Beacon emitted. Raeyn cut down a Medusa lion - a pond scum green lion with a Medusa head - with a whip of darkness. Making eye contact with the lion was fatal. "Regroup!" She heard a nearby Warden call as their enemies' reinforcements arrived. [Read more] |

Could you please specify if you really mean the canon, or are you making an OC of your own that is like a twin to the canon Percy? Because we'd really crack the logic if your form is just accepted like that, lol.] Bang! Claire was shoved backwards into something metal, knocking the air out of her lungs. She was up in hardly a few hundred milliseconds, her spear clasped tightly in her right hand. She swung, causing a plume of smoke to shoot out of the tip of her spear, but fatefully missed. "Hermes!" She swore as she spun away from her opponent's REALLY REALLY sharp sword. The tip of the sword snagged her shoulder sleeve, drawing blood. Claire managed to dodge the next attack, fully aware of the blood trickling down her arm. She had to end this now. One moment was all she needed. Her free hand flipped open her belt pouch, and with an accurately aimed throw, the small nut bounced off her opponent's armor with a small clink. One moment of focus. The next thing Claire and her opponent knew, Claire's spear point was pressed against their throat, drawing a small bead of blood. Claire's foot was slowly crushing her opponent's free wrist. "I win," She stated in a monotone, withdrawing her spear and lifting her foot. The Ares boy was smart enough not to attack her when she had her back turned. Claire walked out the arena, flipping her spear, fitting it into its sheath strapped on her back. Claire's speed and agility were beyond the average demigod, being a daughter of Hermes. Ignoring the fact that she still had some of her armor on, Claire jogged on over to the Hecate cabin, seeking a certain green-eyed girl. "Is Cal in?" She shoved the door open, poking her head in. One of her siblings shook her head. "Haven't seen her since last night." A brunette girl in pigtails looked over, the green eyes she and some of her other siblings shared locking onto Claire's bright blue ones. "She snuck outta camp. Don't tell Chiron though, he'll freak," She answered solemnly before sticking her head back into her trunk, probably looking for a missing sock. Claire arched an eyebrow but retreated to her cabin. She knew exactly where Calliope had gone. "The little rebel will get herself killed one day," Claire mumbled as she began taking off her armor, securing the pieces. Her siblings would steal from her anyway, so Claire mostly camped out in the Hephaestus cabin. It was against rules, but hey, it wasn't her fault Calliope had influenced her with that rebellious attitude. Grabbing a hidden stash of golden drachma, Claire set out for the lake, where the sun sparkled cheerily. After she made sure no one was in sight, she tossed a drachma into the air. "Show me Calliope Blitz." To her utter surprise, the rainbow shimmered momentarily, before regurgitating her drachma, nearly hitting her in the eye. Claire dodged the sneaky little piece of gold narrowly, her eyes narrowing as her suspicions were confirmed. "Oh, Cal. Really?" She moaned forlornly, stooping down to pick up the drachma. Name: Clarissa "Claire" Pallas Watson Age: 16, slightly younger than Kane and Calliope Gender: Female Godly Parent: Hermes. Appearance: An auburn haired somewhat short girl with luminous blue eyes flecked with gold and a prankster attitude. Her hair almost reaches her waist, but not quite. Clarissa, more known as Claire, has a skinny frame and is of below average height. She doesn't look much, but she's speedy if she wants to be. Her fingers are quick and slender, which is useful for both pick-pocketing and fitting microscopic machine parts together. Due to being a descendant of Aphrodite, Claire's beauty is more defined than other demigods. She and Calliope have similar tastes in clothes, the difference being that Claire hates ANYTHING girly. Equipment: Despite being a child of Hermes, Claire is suspiciously good at building things, including her own weapons. Oddly enough, regardless of her height and size, Claire tends to use a fire spear to fight. She dresses light for battle, rarely ever wearing all her armor. Her spear's victim will feel as if they were being burned and stabbed at the same time. Claire also has an assortment knicks and knacks in her very own enchanted belt pouch. Said pouch was crafted by her and enchanted by her friend, Calliope, whose skill in enchanting items was unrivaled. Whenever her ADHD kicks in (which is VERY often), Claire tends to summon whatever bunch of gizmos and mess around with them. Camp: Camp Half-blood History: ![]() Claire was born into a dysfunctional
family: a bipolar mother, a drunk father, and a schizophrenic
brother. Fortunately, her father wasn't the abusive type, just the
mopey depressing kind of drunk. Her mother was tolerable, but
whenever she was in one of her fits, Claire knew to steer clear.
Claire loved her little brother to bits, always babysitting him
after school.
Claire was barely nine years old when she was first attacked. It had been one of the rare days her mother was stable enough to take care of her brother, and Claire was free. Due to aforementioned family problems, Claire had been forced to grow up quickly, and thus tended to play outside without any adult supervision. She was stalked by a seemingly perverted man in a trench coat in the park. When a passing adult threatened to call the police, the man revealed what he really was - a Cyclops. Terrified, all the mortals in the park ran away, no doubt seeing some sort of terrorist or something, leaving Claire all alone. A frightened Claire tried to run away, but her attempt failed. Scared out of her wits, Claire used her power of technokinesis for the first time on an abandoned popcorn stand. The Cyclops was thus buried under a mountain of freshly popped kernels and Claire managed to get away. After informing her mother that night, who luckily wasn't in one of her fits, Claire's mother explained who Claire's real father was - Hermes. Claire didn't believe her until her friend Jerry came by two days later, explaining that he was a satyr, and thus Claire's protector. Though it was hard for Claire to accept, she had to leave her family and head for CHB due to the fact she had been marked as a powerful demigod. Seeing as she lived in the Bridgeport Area of Connecticut, specifically Shelton, it wasn't too hard to get to Long Island. Claire and Jerry hitchhiked all the way, occasionally stumbling upon monsters and narrowly escaping. Upon arriving in Camp Half-blood, they were being pursued by a flock of Stymphalian birds. Claire discovered and had managed to use her power of pyrokinesis, killing the birds, but with the cost of passing out. Claire was sent to the infirmary for recovery, and for her first week she was nursed back to health. After coming to, she was shown around camp, eventually meeting her first friend - Calliope - in the fighting arena, where her future friend was trying out her daggers on the training dummies. After a small skirmish with some other campers, Claire became fast friends with the Hecate demigod. Claire is a valuable asset to her team during Capture The Flag, however, standing with her best friend Claire, she refuses to fight against the Athena and Hecate cabins. Due to her carefree, joking and prankster attitude, Claire is well-liked by most demigods, as she is always fun to be around. However, she tends to cut down any boy who attempts to flirt with her, which is quite often since she is unknowingly a descendant of Aphrodite. Other: ![]() Italics means Claire is mostly unaware
and unskilled at using these. Also, once again, this is just a
list of what she's capable of. I'm not giving Claire BOOM LOTSA
POWERS automatically. If you've read her history, the first time
she used pyrokinesis, she passed out. Like all demigods, doing
something major has a price.
Hephaestus Inherited Abilities/Powers: ➽ Pyrokinesis: It is the ability to control fire well as being completely immune to being burned by fire ➽ Technokinesis: Technokinesis, or Technopathy, is the ability to either manipulate machines by physically animating them or controlling them like puppets or communicate with machines, technology, lamps, vacuums, or any other machine. Aphrodite Inherited Abilities/Powers: ➽ Amokinesis: Amokinesis is the ability to control the emotion of love or desire. ➽ Charmspeak: Charmspeaking is a rare type of hypnotism ability that chosen children of Aphrodite possess. (Though, seeing as she's a descendant of Aphrodite, the goddess herself blessed Claire, I guess? Also, some other magical beings, like Circe (daughter of Hecate), can use charmspeak.) ➽ French: Language of love. ➽ Beauty: She is able to radiate beauty, regardless of how she may look. This ability sometimes prevents enemy forces from willingly attacking her, even as she charges them head-on. (Copied straight from Piper McLean's wiki profile.) Athena's Blessings: ➽ Divine Wisdom ➽ Strategy and Battle Skill: Spending time with Calliope and the other Athenian demigods has enhanced this. Hermes Inherited Abilities/Powers: ➽ Transgressing Realms: Ability to cross through realms of any god freely. ➽ Enhanced Speed ➽ Lock Manipulation and Intuition: Manipulation causes her to be able to sense the internal structure and mechanisms of any lock she touches, and is almost always able to make it unlock. She can also do this telekinetically. Intuition causes her to be able to instantly identify curses and traps placed on locks, and deactivate them. ➽ Money Manipulation: Manipulating the stock market, cheers! ➽ Enhanced Thievery ➽ Persuasion ➽ Ancient Greek Alchemy: Claire's natural knack for this is helpful when mixing up things for new projects. Her spent time with Hecate demigods has enhanced this ability. Standard Demigod Skills: ➽ Fighting Skills ➽ ADHD ➽ Dyslexia On another happy note, she has ichthyophobia (fear of fish, including fear of eating fish, or fear of dead fish), melissophobia (fear of bees), and coulrophobia (fear of clowns.) "HOLY MOTHER OF HERA!" Calliope screeched as she stumbled backwards, falling unceremoniously on her bum. Kane hurried to help her up. "What? What's going on?" His sister's eyes were misty. Their brightness had dulled to the point that the green darkened. Kane warily pulled her up, his brow furrowing in confusion as Calliope's lips struggled to form something. "Cal?" Kane asked gently. "It's coming," Calliope rasped, her voice taking on a different tone. "Coming." Kane backed away fearfully, his sister suddenly upright and stiff. "Cal?" "Calliope is not here," His sister let out a sinister giggle. "Not here. Not here." A khopesh was pointed straight at Calliope, a trembling Kane barely holding it steady. "Get out of my sister," He whispered. "As you wish," "Calliope" bowed mockingly at him. "Descendant of Persephone." Before Kane could react, Calliope crumpled, and he narrowly managed to keep her from falling flat-face. "Guys! I need backup here!" He shouted, attempting to wake up the rest of the Nome. "Cal? Can you hear me? CAL!" [Read more] |

As they sat munching on various fruits, the siblings briefed each other on what had been happening. Tension was high, security tightening, etc, etc. "Just one thing," Calliope stated as she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. "The gods are going schizo. I can't even contact my own mother without incurring the wrath of some insane god. What about the Egyptian gods? How are they taking this?" Kane shrugged as he finished his apple. Tossing the core back into the bowl, earning an "ew" from his sister, he looked back at her and spoke. "They're just as elusive as your own gods. Far as I know, Sadie and Carter were having trouble talking to Isis and Horus before they left." His sister sighed in response, her fingers jittery in response to her ADHD. "Nothing's making sense. Rachel Dare can't predict anything since Apollo has gone schizo as well, I believe. I don't think the Romans are having much luck either." "But what about you?" Kane quizzed, frowning. "What about me?" Calliope's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Your mom is the lady of the crossroads. If anyone can sense where this is going, it'd be her and her kids. Same with Hypnos and some other minor gods," Kane explained patiently as he peeled a banana. Calliope was shaking her head even before he had finished speaking. "Something's blocking my vision. Same with my half-siblings. We're having trouble using magic and using the Mist. This is something more powerful than the gods, Kane. I don't know what, but there is something very, very wrong." "Well, isn't that cheerful," Her brother replied as he got up. "We're having trouble scrying as well. To be honest, I don't think it's even any of us." "Maybe," Calliope said doubtfully. "Thoth's beak," Kane grumbled, "she couldn't wait for morning, could she now?" He reached for the emerald pendant on his own leather necklace, shutting his eyes and letting his power flow into it. In the woods of Camp Half-blood, Calliope's diamond pendant glowed even brighter. "Booyah," She cheered softly as she disappeared in a flash of light. Calliope reappeared in front of her brother, in Brooklyn, loosely holding the stone tablet in her hand. "Portals suck," She declared as she spat out a mouthful of sand. Tossing the fragile, smoking artifact towards her brother, who barely caught it, Calliope shrugged off her backpack, bright green eyes scanning the room with slight distaste. "Boys. Can't you at least NOT show off your dirty underwear?" Calliope wrinkled her nose, pointing at a pair of dirty boxers lying on the floor. "Hey, that's why girls were invented. To clean," Kane retorted as he tossed the referred item to the corner of the room. His sister just rolled her eyes before walking across the room and snapping open the door with a flick of a wrist. "Show-off," Kane muttered as he followed in suit. "Camp security is getting tighter than ever. I barely managed to get out. Had to run into the freaking woods and got attacked by a scorpion before I got here. What the Hades is going on Kane?" Calliope immediately started as they descended the stairs. "I have no idea," Kane confessed grimly. "We're just as confused as you guys are." His sister shook her head as she leaped down the last steps. "Well then, I hope you have something to eat. I'm starving." [Read more] |

I've informed a freaking Roleplay moderator of the forums, and they say it's up to Draco. I've talked to Draco, he's made me a RP Mod. According to him, it's three strikes before you have to leave temporarily - aka a week. And for three strikes, it means each rule broken. If you get banned temporarily, the next time you get banned you will be banned for longer - another week. So basically: 3 strikes = 1 week ban 3 more strikes after the first ban = 2 weeks ban And so on. Shadow, if you continue all the logic-breaking and rule-breaking, you will get kicked temporarily. Same goes for all of you. On that cheery note, have fun!] [Read more] |

Now that she was on the subject of Amsel though, her mouth couldn't resist a wry smile. Just as ancient as she was, maybe even more so, the Piscean was one of the first Chosen, along with her. Unlike most of the other Wardens, Amsel wasn't as terrified of Raeyn's abilities. Amsel had been no pushover, either. Her sweet, lulling voice was a deathtrap. Years of training honed her skills even more so, and Raeyn reckoned that they were roughly of the same level. Amsel's sweet music simply disguised her terrifying power over sound. An ally Raeyn was grateful to have, and an adversary to be reckoned with. As the crowd's eyes locked on the newcomer, Raeyn uneasily shifted on her feet. "Meet our new Warden of Time, Thiria Solita," Her voice cut through the air crisply. "The South Border has been left unguarded, by the way," She added. "I'm sure that it's time to change shifts. Is it not?" A few Wardens rose from their seats, hurrying past them without a sound, glancing nervously over their shoulder at Raeyn. As one of the eldest Wardens, she had definite authority over the majority of them, and very few dared to question her. Though, Raeyn mused to herself, it wasn't like she was going to strangle them with their own shadow. She wasn't that annoyed with any of them. It wasn't going to change their opinion of her any time soon. She had, after all, killed a Warden in the midst of battle before. Then again, it hadn't been under normal circumstances... [Read more] |

And I still don't get how Aurora feels no inch of guilt or suspicion or fear or whatsoever...I didn't really read some of the pages, so does she even know what the heck Zack is?] It was exhilarating, deadly as Tartarus, and somewhat insane. Calliope loved it. Since she wielded daggers, she would have to get up and close, as the dagger did not have the reach of a sword nor the strength. But, as Annabeth once told her, dagger users were quick and clever, finding weaknesses in their opponents. The scorpion and Calliope danced intensely, her with the blade, it with its tail. Calliope could feel the forest nymphs silently watching, curious to find out if she could handle a monster all by herself. Oh, she'd handle it alright. The tail swung at her, and Calliope spun away at the last second, letting her daggers fly as she did so. The scorpion let out a pained screech as the weapons met their marks, and Calliope snapped out her palm, intensifying the screeches with a silent incantation. Her green eyes hardened as the scorpion dissolved into dust. "And that is why you don't interrupt me when I'm trying to break curfew and rules," Calliope said cheerily, plucking her weapons from the dust and sheathing them. Spinning around, she retrieved her dropped items, keeping the tablet at hand and zipping her backpack shut. "Alright, Kane, do your thing," Calliope mumbled, the tablet beginning to glow simultaneously with her pendant. [Read more] |

Just proves what kind of roleplayer he is. Crystal.....it would have been okay if Draco clearly stated that all the logic Rick Riordan gave us was no longer valid. He didn't.] Weaving her way through the treacherous dingy forest, her sneakers making crunching sounds as they crushed the fallen leaves, Calliope came to a stop in the middle of a clearing. She had gone as far as she could risk. Besides, the monsters that roamed the forest would have probably sensed her now. She was, after all, one of the remaining descendants of Persephone. Digging for a certain object in her backpack, she kept a wary eye on her surroundings, her senses sharpening as her brain registered the fact that she was possibly in grave danger. She had one of her daggers ready just as a monster burst into view. "Oh, Athena," She cursed as it bounded right for her. It was a scorpion. Not too big, but a scorpion nonetheless. Calliope barely managed to sidestep and dodge its barbed tail. She finally found the object she was looking for, dodging once more as the scorpion lunged at her. A small stone tablet was in her hand, her dagger in another. "You wanna play, big boy?" Calliope asked, her tone playful as her confidence rose. They were caught in a hypnotic dance, both of them turning circles. Calliope broke into a deadly grin. "Then, let's play," She cooed as she spun away from the circle, dropping the tablet and shrugging off her backpack. Her daggers flashed into her slender hands, glinting brightly despite the lack of light. Bright green eyes observed her adversary coolly as she spun both of her weapons expertly, her diamond pendant glowing. Then both of them lunged. [Read more] |
