As the trainer spoke, Liam could tell that he was a bit flustered. He couldn't exactly tell why, but he just assumed that he may have been embarrassed to have dropped all his belongings. The male continued to stutter as he tried to speak and fortunately, through this almost-painful conversation, another trainer appeared, a girl, who ironically was able to complete the other male's thought as she called his name, running over.
"My name's Liam," he responded casually, "I come from Azalea Town, which is a little ways ahead. Your name is Aditsan and you're Avery?" He [word], as his glance switched between the both of them. He held out his hand for a handshake to properly complete the introduction. "That's a cute Pokemon you have there," he continued, motioning his head in the direction of the Froakie. "Where are you guys from?"

Upon entering the city, the male decided to sit down outside of the PokeMart. It wasn't long before all three of his Pokemon were sound asleep beside him, their small bodies rising and falling slowly with each breath.
It had at least been two or three hours since he had left home by now and he began to wonder how everyone back in Azalea Town were doing. By now, Maizie would be home, probably finishing up the special PokeBalls she made for all the trainers that stopped by. He hoped that tomorrow he'd be able to catch her before she disappeared into the Slowpoke Well for the majority of the early afternoon. his mom, as well. He wondered how she was doing, knowing her one and only son had left the house once again to start up another Pokemon journey. He was sure she'd be busy with work anyways, just as his father was, exploring the new region.
As time seemed to pass a bit, he decided to pull out his PokePhone and browse the PokeDex to see how much progress he had made so far. Scrolling through it, he knew he had a long way to go. He heard that in this region, there wasn't only Johto-exclusive Pokemon that lived here, rather Pokemon from other regions were intertwined with its roots as well. He wondered if he'd ever see any Unova-exclusive Pokemon again.
From the corner of his eye, he noticed another male walking in his direction. He took a couple small glances at this person and assumed that he must be around his own age, and probably a 'newer' trainer like him. But, not wanting his glances to be noticeable, he turned his attention back to his phone as he continued to scroll through his PokeDex. Still, from the corner of his eye, he watched the male pass by.
Something had seemed to startle the other trainer at that moment and he had dropped all his items onto the ground. A PokeBall rolled over in Liam's direction and he believed it was only respectful to return it. So, he grabbed the PokeBall and stood up, careful not to wake any of his Pokemon near him, and he made his way over to the other male.
"Hey," Liam started, "you dropped this."

Upon reaching Route 33, which was east of Azalea Town, an older trainer, dressed in hiking clothes, approached the younger male. He introduced himself as Anthony, a travelling trainer who sought battles against the majority of trainers he passed.
"Seeing as you're on your way to take on Violet City's gym, I believe an actual trainer battle would be great preparation for you," the man explained. "So please, battle me!"
Liam dipped his head, as in agreement. "As you wish. I don't plan on holding back!"
With that, Anthony sent out a Machop. The Pokemon looked fairly strong, considering that it had quite a bit of experience with battles if the two had come this far.
I have confidence that we can do this, the younger male thought to himself. "Archen, I want you to have this battle!" The small reptilian bird strutted out in front of its trainer, a tingle of excitement crawling through its feathers. Liam's Gligar stayed at his side, intrigued at the first legitimate battle it was about to witness. Though, a slight disappointment stirred inside the Pokemon, knowing it wouldn't be able to participate.
"You make the first move," Anthony called across the battlefield.
Let's go! "Archen, use Wing Attack!" The Pokemon called it's name in reply as it's wings began to glow furiously. With graceful speed, the Archen charged towards the opposing Pokemon, stretching out its wings, in preparation to strike. Anthony's Machop, seemingly knowing that it wouldn't be quick enough to dodge the flying Pokemon's attack, crossed its arms before itself, creating an X, hoping to protect itself from most of the damage done. The move, being super-effective against Fighting types, proved to do more damage than the Machop had hoped, even with its attempt to block.
Quick to retaliate before the Archen made its way back to its original position, the Machop countered with Low Sweep, causing Liam's Pokemon to trip, falling face-first into the dirt below. Before the bird Pokemon could recover entirely from its fall, Anthony had ordered his Machop to use Karate Chop, which fortunately hadn't done quite as much damage as Archen's Wing Attack had done. Archen bounced back after the contact was made and countered itself with Ancient Power, flinging several rocks towards the Pokemon before it.
"Machop, you're doing great, just hang in there!" Anthony called to his Pokemon, noticing how weaker it had grown after the last attack from Liam's Pokemon.
"Archen, use Wing Attack once more!"
"Machop, Karate Chop!"
As the two Pokemon came in contact with each other, they both held their ground, hoping to force the other Pokemon aside. It was moments later when it seemed that Liam's Archen began to overpower the fighting type that stood before it. Shortly after, the Machop gave in, collapsing to the ground. Archen circled around and returned to the position before its trainer, facing the opposing side. The Machop didn't stir.
"Machop, you did your best! You can return for now." Anthony pointed a PokeBall in the direction of his Pokemon and the figure of the Machop disappeared out of view. "I have to applaud you both; that was a great battle!" The trainer made his way over to Liam and held out a bundle of PokeDollar, which the younger male placed into his bag. "I want you to have this, as a little gift from me, for winning against us. I know it will be helpful during your travels. Now, if you excuse me, I should head into Azalea Town so I had heal my Machop up. Thank you for the battle and take care!" The male waved as he left in the direction of the nearby town.
"Goodbye, thank you as well!" Liam called in return. Once the other trainer was out of sight, he congratulated his Archen on the win. "Violet City is next!"

~~

Union Cave was next. Inside, it was quite dark and cool, as none of the sunlight could reach in. Pools of water could be seen in patches throughout the cave, small fish Pokemon appearing and disappearing inside. Boulders lined the walls of the cave, almost as if forming a path in which the trainer should follow. Other trainers could be seen in the distance, training their own Pokemon by battling with those that lived inside this cave, such as Geodude and Onix. Most were too distracted to notice Liam passing through, both Archen and Gligar at his sides, which was fortunate, knowing that the young trainer had quite a ways to go before he reached Violet City.
Halfway through the cave, scurrying could be heard along the rough surface below them. Within moments, a golden figure could be seen running towards them from around the corner. The figure, Liam realized, was a Pokemon called Sandshrew. The Pokemon seemed to be in distress, but for a reason the trainer couldn't figure out right away.
As the small Pokemon got closer, the trainer could finally notice what was causing the Sandshrew's distress. Several Geodude, which appeared to be angry, were chasing after the golden Pokemon. Liam took a glance down at his two Pokemon, which in turn nodded. Just as the Sandshrew darted around them, Gligar sent a spray of rocks and dust at the Geodude that followed behind, causing a brief pause in their chase. The Sandshrew, noticing that it wasn't being chased any longer, turned around to face in the direction of the trainer. Around the corner where the Pokemon first came around, a taller figure could be seen running towards the group. As it got closer, Liam could make out that it was another trainer, a young man, who also seemed to be a hiker.
"Ah, forgive me! My Geodude just seemed to get angry at that poor Pokemon and I couldn't control them!" the man called as he neared the group. He could be seen pulling out PokeBall after PokeBall, calling for his Pokemon to return. As the cloud of dust disappeared, the several Geodude disappeared with it. The man skidded to a stop in front of the trio, breathing heavily after his run. "Please tell that Sandshrew how sorry I am!"
The Sandshrew stared ahead at the other trainer, still too nervous to approach the group, but seeming less distressed, now that the horde of Geodude had gone away.
"The name's Russell," he continued, finally catching his breath. "I came here to battle other trainers and didn't expect my Pokemon to behave this way, so forgive me."
"I don't think there's anything to worry about. As long as the whole situation was stopped before anything worse happened." Liam commented.
"Thank you for interfering when you could. Please, take this Berry Juice as a gift from me. I'm sure your Pokemon will enjoy it." The younger male placed the item in his bag. "I'm sorry to have wasted your time in wherever you were heading. I'll leave you on your way."
Liam dipped his head in the direction of the other man and murmured a 'farewell' as he continued to walk towards the opposite end of the cave. Behind him, the male's Gligar noticed the Sandshrew was following. With it's pincer, the Pokemon tugged on its trainer's shirt, grabbing his attention.
"What is it, Gligar?" the male asked. As the Pokemon pointed in the direction behind them, the trainer turned around, noticing the Sandshrew which had stopped a few feet away from them. He made his way over and crouched before the golden Pokemon. "What is it, little guy?"
The Sandshrew, unsure of how to pass off its message, tugged at the male's clothes. "Hm, would you like to come with us?" Below him, the Pokemon's blue eyes twinkled, giving away the message in which it wanted to pass along. "I understand," the trainer murmured, rubbing the Pokemon's head. "I'd love for you to tag along with us."
With that, the Sandshrew joined the three and exited the cave, arriving at Route 32.

~~

It was quite nice to be out in the sunlight once again, the warmth bringing Liam and his Pokemon a sense of relief. Route 32 was a pretty long route and the group was approached by several wild Pokemon on their way, although it was nothing that they couldn't handle. By this point, Liam's Archen had begun to grow tired, which was a bit worrisome, as they had just about reached Violet City. The young trainer didn't want to overwork his Pokemon, so he decided that it would be best that once they arrived at Violet City, they should rest for at least a couple hours before any major decisions were made.
At the end of the route, another trainer had approached them, and instead of having Archen battle them as usual, he let Gligar start it off and then Sandshrew finish it. Already, he could tell that the Sandshrew had a lot of trust in him. This battle had proved to him that the Sandshrew was serious about joining them as a team and Liam felt proud of himself, knowing that his team of companions was growing and he was becoming more and more of a legitimate trainer.

~~

Minutes later, the group arrived in Violet City.
The young trainer took a breath of relief at the sight of the buildings before him. The city was rather large compared to Azalea Town and seemed more active with people.
It's time to rest a while.

"Don't worry, Glameow, we got this!" Ellie called. "Let's try it again; use Scratch!"
Seeming to have recovered from it's previous fall, the Glameow lunged into the air, extending its claws. With more persistence and courage this time, the cat Pokemon's claws were able to make contact with the Pidgey, taking a minimal amount of damage. Even so, Ellie had a plan of what her next move would be and she hoped it would work well into catching this Pokemon.

[will finish this post when I wake up]

As Liam made his way home, a thought crossed his mind. Maybe I should stop by at Maizie's. I have been saving these Apricorns for a while now, so I could probably get a couple PokeBalls out of them. Besides, I would like Archen and Gligar to rest as much as they can before we leave for Violet City.
Maizie was Kurt's granddaughter. Kurt had lived in Azalea Town for the majority of his life, making special PokeBalls for trainers that came by and gave him Apricorns in return. Maizie, valuing her time spent with her grandfather, loved to help him in making the special PokeBalls once she had learned how to. After he had passed away several years back, she would take over the special hobby he had once treasured so dearly, in hopes that he would be proud of her.
Maizie's house was on the opposite side of town, closer to where his own house was, in the direction of Ilex Forest. At this point, he was hoping to himself that his two Pokemon had already eaten and started resting, as he'd be home shortly. His plan was quite simple: drop off the Apricorns, possibly stay for a few minute chat, and then leave. Today is going to be an important day for Liam and his team and there would be no time wasted.
As the male approached the little log house in the corner of Azalea Town, the sight of the beautiful Apricorn trees surrounding the girl's home came into view. Liam was always astounded at how stunning the trees looked, especially in the sunlight, with the different colored Apricorns giving off a different glow. After he had made his way up the steps to the door, he gave a soft, but firm knock. He waited a good minute or so before he gave another knock. Still nothing..
"She might be at Slowpoke Well," he finally mumbled to himself. "I'll just stop back here tomorrow."
And with that, he headed back home and made his way inside, only to see that his two Pokemon were still awake. His mother, crouched down in front of the two, flashed Liam a sympathetic smile.
"I'm really sorry, sweetie," she started, "They are both too excited to go face the Violet City gym, I wasn't able to get them to sleep at all."
Rather than being disappointed, a soft smirk appeared on the male's face. "I understand. Come on you two, let's go."
As the boy's two Pokemon ran over to him, his mother stood up. "Liam, I want you to have these. I know they will come in handy in your endeavors." The woman handed him a few Sitrus berries, in which he placed carefully in his Berry Pouch. "I also want to make sure that my number is registered in your PokePhone, in case anything comes up."
Once everything had been settled, the younger male made his way to the front door with his two companions. Before he exited the house, he turned back and waved at his mother. "See you soon!"
"Take care and be safe!" she called in return.

Making her way through the tall grass, Glameow at her side, Ellie's nervousness began to fade. Okay, this isn't that bad at all.. With Glameow, I won't have to worry about the wild Pokemon that approach me.
It wasn't long before the young girl heard rustling coming from the grass near the front of the duo. Glameow lifted its head up to take in the scent that wafted through the air. Picking up the scent coming from the other Pokemon, the Glameow put itself before its trainer, guarding her for whenever the opposing Pokemon decided to show itself. Ellie reached into her bag and pulled out a PokeBall. Let's make this the first catch of the journey..
But, just as quickly as the rustling started, it had stopped entirely. The trainer could sense the tension coming from her partner just below her, the flick of its tail giving it away. She also stood on edge, knowing the Pokemon was still a short distance away from them.
Suddenly, a sandy blur of a figure sprung through the grass and into the air, startling the poor girl to the point she fell backwards onto the ground. "Eeeek!" she screamed on the way down.
Realizing how much of an embarrassment of a trainer she made herself in front of her Pokemon, she pulled herself together and brought herself to her feet, holding her stance. "Let's do this!" she called to her partner. "Glameow, use Scratch!"
The Pokemon flying above the two, Ellie noticed, was a Pidgey, a pretty common Pokemon in this part of the region. Despite that, she admired the elegance of Flying-type Pokemon, and she hoped that she would be able to befriend it. She had to prove to this Pokemon that she had the potential of becoming a good trainer.
Ellie watched as her Glameow sprung through the air, it's claws glowing. Before it could come in contact with the Pidgey, the flying Pokemon dove, tackling the cat Pokemon's underbelly, shoving it back to the ground. The Glameow grimaced as it fell, but twisting itself around through the air, it was able to land back down softly on its paws.

Exiting the forest, the trio made their way back into Azalea Town. As they neared Liam's house, the male glanced towards his two Pokemon. "How about you both grab a snack and take a rest for a while? I'm going to stop at the PokeMart for a bit and pick up some items. I'd like us to set out towards Violet City today while it's still light out." He flashed a gentle smile towards the both of them and continued walking towards their home.
Noticing how well the duo did today while battling the Paras in Ilex Forest, the male knew that it was the perfect time for them to make their first attempt at the Violet City gym. He wanted the two to rest a bit before they set out, so they wouldn't be too tired once they reached the other town. It's actually time, the male thought to himself, The beginning of this journey has just begun.
As Liam let the two Pokemon back into the house, he called to his mother to make a snack for the two and make sure they rested good. He explained to her the progress they had all made since they first moved and she was visibly proud. Leaving once again, the two exchanged goodbyes and the male made his way towards the PokeMart which was a mere minute-long walk away from his home.
Upon entering the shop, he wasn't surprised at how empty it was. Seeing as Azalea Town was such a quiet and calm place, he didn't expect too much to be going on. The trainer approached the clerk at the desk and greeted her with a warm "hello".
"Good morning! What can I interest you with today?" the woman responded with.
"I'd like to purchase a few PokeBalls and a couple Potions, please."
"Of course! Here you are. Your total today is going to be 1,900 PokeDollar."
Liam handed her the money and placed the items into the drawstring bag he carried on his back. This should be enough to last me a little while.
"Have a nice day!" he called to the clerk as he made his way out of the shop.
I really wonder what kind of Pokemon await us out of this town. I look forward to all of the challenges we may face, but I know we're definitely ready to take on what this region has to offer.

As the duo reached the tall grass of Route 29, Ellie could feel herself getting a bit nervous. With a PokeBall clenched tightly in her hand, she stared blankly ahead, past the grass that swallowed the land before the two. A soft meow came from the Glameow beneath her and the Pokemon rubbed its body against her leg, as a sign of reassurance.
"You're right, there's nothing for me to be nervous about. We're in this together and everything will be okay." The young girl let out a soft sigh and entered the grass, cautiously.

Liam was up bright and early, already training his two Pokemon. Whatever time he could spare, he was always using it wisely, as his goal to become a stronger Pokemon trainer was his priority. He never tried to overwork his Pokemon, rather he treated them with as much kindness as he could give, caring for them as if they were the only things he had.
The young trainer had moved to Johto from Unova, as his parents received a better job offer in the new region. His family settled in Azalea Town, which is home to the bug-type Gym, run by the trainer named Bugsy. Liam had yet to attempt the first Pokemon gym all new trainers would encounter first, the Violet City gym, but he felt that it was not the right time just yet. A few days before, his father had brought home a Gligar he had encountered on Route 45 while out researching Johto's Pokemon species. He had given the Gligar to his son as a gift to start his new Johto journey. Accompanied by the Archen that travelled all the way from Unova with them, the trio were now a team.
Ilex Forest was just past Azalea Town and this was the place that Liam constantly trained his Pokemon at, upon moving to the new region. The forest contained mostly weaker bug-type Pokemon, although it was to the team's advantage as both Archen and Gligar are part flying-type. Here, Liam trained the two to work as a team together. By doing so, the bond between the old and new could grow.
"Gligar, Sand Attack! Archen, use Wing Attack!" the male called.
The Paras the team had been battling against was swallowed by a cloud as the Gligar flung loose scoops of dirt at the opposing Pokemon. Archen, on the other hand, could be seen charging at the Paras with glowing wings, outstretched so magnificently, one could not help but smile at it's elegance. The Paras, in a state of confusion, attempted to back up out of the cloud of dust to regain its sight, but it was useless. The Archen pierced directly through the cloud and within moments, his wing came in contact with the opposing Pokemon, launching it backwards with force. The Archen circled around a nearby tree and regained his original position next to the Gligar. As the cloud of dust dissipated, the team noticed the still figure of the Paras laying a few feet away from where it had been.
Both the Archen and the Gligar bounced up and down in triumph. Liam clenched his hand into a fist, a huge smile plastered on his face. "Great job, both of you!"
The two Pokemon turned around to face their trainer and were surprised with a pat on their heads. Liam reached into his shorts pocket and pulled out two Magost berries and handed them to his Pokemon, who ate them with grins on their faces.
"One last thing before we head back home," the male commented as he made his way over to the Paras, who had just woken up. The young trainer crouched down before the smaller Pokemon and pulled out the last Magost berry in his pocket. "Thank you so much for the battle, little guy."
He placed the berry before the Paras and patted its head as well before he turned around to join his two Pokemon. He nodded towards them and they skipped behind him as they made their way out of the forest.

Ellie herself, was born in the Sinnoh region. Her mother, seeing how much potential her daughter had while training with her Glameow, encouraged her to continue her Pokemon journey in Johto, where she knew her daughter could befriend many new Pokemon. The young girl was a rather new trainer, but already had the basics down and wasn't half bad at battling either. The tight bond that she and her Glameow formed made all the difference towards their performance as a team.
It was 10:30 AM and Ellie was still asleep, as she hadn't made a set schedule for herself. Beside her in her bed was her Glameow, curled up and sleeping soundly, its nose tucked under its paws. Not much later, a little tickle on the Glameow's ear had awoken it and the cat-Pokemon nudged its trainer's back with its nose. Ellie rolled over onto her back and greeted her Pokemon with a pet between the ears. "Good morning, cutie," Ellie murmured. "Is it time to get up already?"
A purr rose deep from the Glameow's throat as it licked its trainer's face. "Okay, okay," Ellie said, giggling as she sat up in bed.
The young girl had settled down in New Bark Town, the perfect place to begin her journey, as the path to obtain all eight badges from the Johto region was just before her. She was confident in herself that she and her Glameow would be able to obtain their first badge soon enough, without too much trouble. The trust she knew her Glameow had in her motivated her even more into becoming a successful trainer.
Once she had finished getting dressed, she grabbed her purse that had been sitting atop her dresser and hung it over her shoulder. "Let's make today another awesome adventure!" Ellie said with a smile, as her Glameow followed her out of the room.
The duo's first stop would be Route 29, just west of New Bark Town.

sorry for my essays lmao

Phew, I've been quite busy lately, so forgive me for asking this so late.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Not too long ago, I managed to hatch the second shiny Yveltal I needed from my chain. After some thought, I decided that I was going to stick with my original plan and continue this chain until I hatched 65 eggs. Seeing as I only needed to hatch a second shiny Yveltal to complete this Lottery, I wanted to ask you all two questions:

Would you like me to continue my Lottery and update my prizes how I have been (each time I can buy an egg, nuggets & PD increases for each placing prize; every 5 eggs increases PD & shiny hunt slot amount)? [If you choose this, the prizes will be able to update around 11 more times]

OR

End the Lottery now [will give another week or two if people would like to boost their chances for a final time], and hand out the prizes listed on the first post (54 eggs total)? Downside for this would be that I will not be able to hand out the shiny hunt slots until after I hatch the full 65 eggs for my chain.

Please PalPad me your thoughts!

I have also decided that the users who do not win the shiny Yveltal will have their ticket amount and such moved back to the main raffle list for a chance to win those prizes!

I've also updated the prizes for 4 more eggs (as the last time I did, I had 50 eggs):

1st place: +20k PD, 100 Nuggets
2nd place: +20k PD, 100 Nuggets
3rd place: +20k PD, 100 Nuggets
4th place: +20k PD, 100 Nuggets
5th place: +20k PD, 100 Nuggets
6th place: +20k PD, 100 Nuggets
