Wait... Did I just?
The realization suddenly hit her that she said it aloud. But... She knew... Didn't she?
"You're welcome, Megami," she murmured, as steadily as she could, her heart pounding. There was no need to be so embarrassed... This was Megami!! This was Megami....
She waited for the music to start up again... Wonder how the rest of the festival's getting on, she pondered, none too eagerly... Nothing would happen. Nothing could go wrong. Right?

Suddenly, that girl was gone. The laughing faces... they were gone too. All she heard, all she saw, was Megami, playing that song for her. Her heart thudded in her chest, and she breathed slowly, calming herself.

...

It seemed like, at least, in this moment, everything was okay. She... she was here. Megami was here with her, in this crazy place.

"I just wanna be in love with you too, Megami," she said out loud, somehow not noticing she hadn't been thinking it.

Maybe... things were okay. Or they would be.

This song, it was... perfect.

Suzume's eyes widened as the music struck her ears. Her tired eyes blinked with... awe. Her fingers, her eyes wandered to her fingers, how they strummed each particular string, with such care, such skill, coming together to make the sounds. Her heart fluttered in her chest and a redness flew like butterflies to touch and fill her cheeks.

She was… stunned, as the words and the melody struck her ears. But then, it was like her heart just stopped. Insecure… in a skin.

Like a puppet… a girl on a string.

Broke away, learned to fly…

If you want her back you gotta let her shine.

The words flashed through her mind, and echoed there. It sounded all too familiar somehow, and yet she had never heard this song before…

Torn papers, ripped into pieces, falling to the floor…

All those laughing, smiling damned faces…

A girl, bruised in appearance and in ego, with messed-up hair, cracked glasses, shaking knees, widened eyes…

Too much noise, no drowning it out. Drown it all out.

It’s not like anyone would notice, and it would help…

It was fine, it was all fine… nothing bad, nothing wrong.

Okay, so... there's an issue I'm having. There are multiple Pokémon I purchased from the Auction House recently when not having room in my Party or my Storage Boxes, and I really, really need to get them back... please tell me you can at least get the most recent one back... it's a Shiny Mega Medicham with the nickname hands to hold and it was really important to someone I care about...

Please, please tell me you can get it back somehow now that I have an empty box...

A ruffled, tattered Suzume with tangled hair and blinking eyes, racked with sleep deprivation and excessively sipping coffee from the cafeteria in a Ford Pines kinnie fashion was sighing in frustration.

So... was Monokuma REALLY not going to try anything? It was so funny, she'd been so tired last night, and yet she could hardly sleep at all, thinking all night about what horrors the day might bring. What if somebody DID go to the murder room?

No, no. She needed to focus. Taking deep breaths in-between sips of her coffee, she made her way over to the musical chairs part of the festival, where Megami was. Another sigh, this one of relief, came from Suzume, and a small smile formed upon her face.

She's okay. For now, at least. "Hey, Megami," she said, barely suppressing a yawn. She looked greatly disheveled and she felt her face growing warm not just from seeing Megami, but with embarrassment from being seen looking like this. I look like a mess, don't I?

Suzume thought about it for a moment. He seems to believe... what? He believes he's responsible for what's going on? He thinks he's responsible for the... Killing Game?

How very mysterious. But why would he think himself responsible for it?

Reluctantly, she gave Majikaruman a look of consent. "Okay. I will. Hisoka went that way, as you were wondering." She pointed in the direction.

And that was when she thought about it... Pairs. A lot of people here had separated into pairs.
Suzume, with Megami. Hisoka, with Majikaruman. Suko... with Femi, who was gone now. Keiki, with Niwa.
And of course... there had been deviations. People did communicate with those outside their designated pairs.

But... people had all found someone they trusted most, relied on for comfort. For Koda, that person had been Kowai. Who was a murderer, of possibly not just Femi and Amano, but many, many people. And she was dead, and gone.
What had ever driven her to such deeds? Suzume couldn't fathom it.
And then those words came back to her, the ones that chilled her to the very core.

And Femi and Suko, they had been a pair too, before Kowai extinguished the flame of love that burned between them with a game of Hide and Seek, some careful wording about sand, some alcohol bottles and matches. ~~Where was Suko anyway?~~

Kowai. Her eyes narrowed into a seething glare.
Just how many people... must she hurt?
She could almost hear her voice... "Are you talking to me, or to yourself, Miss Fujimori?"
Miss Fujimori... no. No, no, no. Don't think about it, don't think about that.
Amano and Nagisa, had also been something of a pair. That too, had been broken, by just some peanut butter and a blunt object.
I know you did it. I know this is your fault, not Hisoka's. Somehow.
Wait... what was she-- thinking?
Suzume realized her eyes may have never narrowed. Had they? It felt like she was just opening them. Her fists were bloody and shaking. Her entire body was shaking.
She... had been punching the wall?

No, clearly, there was more to it than that.
"Then... why did Kowai say Hisoka also wanted Femi dead?"
...and why did she confess like that? Right when everyone was doomed...

We need to find out what's going on. I don't think we have time for... whatever is going on with these two.

It probably wouldn't do any good bothering him further now. He didn't seem in a talkative mood.
"Fine with me," Suzume returned in an oddly steady voice. "Go ahead, I'll talk to you later, Hisoka." She spoke the last part of the sentence rather coldly however...

She raised her eyebrows. "So soon? Well, alright, I suppose." It's not that it really matters.

"So, Hisoka, how has the fair been coming along?" she asked, her head tilted. She was trying so hard not to let the suspicion show on her face. Was she succeeding? Who knows.

Suzume nodded thanks to Niwa with narrowed eyes at him (for some reason...), in one of their few actual character interactions, and headed in the direction he had indicated.

Then she saw. Who was that near Hisoka? She hadn't remembered a person looking like that. Odd. Was there a ghost in here?

Never mind. "Hello, Hisoka Yamanaku. I- Megami and I- wish to speak with you about something. About the progress of the fair," she found herself blurting quickly.

DAMMIT WHY COULDN'T I HAVE JUST GOTTEN TO THE POINT!?

Suzume felt Megami leaning up against her as she walked, and felt her face reddening, but more so her concern growing. Was Megami just tired? One thing was for sure, she had to hurry and find out what was going on. And hopefully, just hopefully, she could find a way out of this place...

Because it seemed like one thing was for certain, whether there was the influence of a mastermind or not, everyone was going crazy. She had to figure out how to stop it. She thrust open the door to the hallway and burst in there.
