Title: I'm on phone so no BBcode

Suzume facepalmed immediately. She had felt her heart stop, for a moment, as she was thrust away into that room. She knew it! She knew Monokuma would make this a living hell. Well.

"Lucky for you, I'm actually an expert at Escape Rooms. And we need more interactions." Wait. Why did she need interactions with Majikaruman? "I mean-- what better a way to get to know each other, when we're probably going to dieee!" That sounded strangely sarcastic. And was not helping. BACKTRACK BACKTRACK

She cleared her throat. "Sorry, sorry! This must be getting to me. So we should observe our surroundings, look for anything out of the ordinary." Suzume looked about the room they were both situated in, poking and prodding at the nooks and crannies of it...

Suzume Fujimori's POV

She frowned at Suko. "Not-" Then... she remembered again. Her stern expression softened. "Sure, sure. Sure thing. Whatever. Maybe it's the more the merrier anyway." Well. This is bothersome.

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume's eyes twitched, her fingers clenching into fists. Escape Room? Oh... she loved Escape Rooms. She was always great at them. But given that Monokuma was planning it, she couldn't expect things to turn out quite as well. There's something to this. Or... someone might end up dead. I have to protect her.

She walked over to Megami. "Should we... go together?" She bit her lip. "Listen, everyone, I don't think any of us should go in alone. If Monokuma lets us head into rooms in groups, we should. The Escape Rooms will be a lot simpler to solve, working as a team. And... we'll all be safer."

She turned to Maji. "Would you and Hisoka accompany Megami and I, if she's willing to come with me?"

I have my reasons anyway.

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume sighed in frustration, as she watched the last round ufold. Niwa and Nakata remained, who would win? It's not that this is of any importance... but at least no one is dying right now. Unless-- someone was. Who knew anymore?

Suzume Fujimori's POV

She smiled shyly in Megami's direction. "Alright. Megami, you can start playing."

Suzume Fujimori's POV

"Alright. Everyone, get ready. Megami will be playing the music. The rules are simple." Suzume gripped the seat of a chair with one hand and pointed to it with the other. "When the music is playing, you all walk around in a circle, around the chairs stationed here. When the music stops, everyone must hurry to take a seat. Once everyone is ready to play, we'll remove one chair. Because..."

She made an emphatic motion with her hands. "When someone fails to find a chair to sit down on, and all the chairs are taken, when the music stops... you're out of the game. The goal of the game is to always be one of the people to find a chair. Just don't be last! We'll remove chair by chair as..."

She paused, shaking a moment. "...each person is eliminated. The last person standing-- or rather, sitting-- wins. Make sense?"

Is that how... this game Monokuma is making us play is going to go?

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume slowly, robotically headed to the festival. Oh, right. Musical Chairs. She found her mood brightening a little...

But she knew, deep down, this was all a distraction.

"Everyone, ready to play?" she asked.

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume found her cutlery crashing down to the floor. Her knees were wobbly. Her eyes slowly crept to Suko. She heard the words...

"..."

The bear was truly a monster. And the person controlling it, if there was any, was just as monstrous.

"I guess we should go," Suzume stated in a voice seemingly devoid of any emotion.

It's ridiculous. It's not like not breaking the rules would have saved Femi's life. Kowai killed him, not the school rules.

"He was... Going to get better. He was... Supposed to get better." A tear welled up in her eyes.

She had barely known him, and perhaps that had made it all the sadder. But... How unusual. How highly unusual for her. You weren't this sad about all those other dead people that you barely knew.

"Megami?... should we go?" she asked, in a hollow voice. She turned to look at her.

But Suzume wasn't even sure she saw a single friendly face here. One of them was hung with such empty eyes, one of them was stabbed to death with the horrifically painful face, one of them seemed to cry... "Why?", one of them bore a crooked, all-too-familiar smile, one of them had a smile that was made of glass, that had shattered on the inside, falling down to the floor, one was merely a web of lies, lies with catastrophic consequences, one of them was a liar unto themselves, no one was a hero here... three of them weren't even here. ...and where were they, anyway?

...and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven of them... Were all dead.

She could almost see every face, melting away into blood. Slowly, she walked out of the room.

...

It's the same as before, isn't it? Why am I surprised... That I can't protect them? It'll be all my fault... Once again. If I hadn't...

She had to look. She barely knew her, but another was missing.

Missing....often meant dead.

Suzume Fujimori's POV

"Yeah! It's great." She had felt hungry, but looking at this plate, she could barely feel hungry anymore. Plates of food. There were other things that reminded her of. Nagisa Aoki had died because of one of these.

...

But although she had lost her appetite, she was still ravenous, and she found herself wolfing down the plate of food before her.

Suzume Fujimori's POV

"Oh, I just... Said things are great. That's all," Suzume lied. ...Suko hadn't seemed bothered. Suzume wasn't even sure she minded the insulting nickname. After she'd said something so careless...

She smiled at Megami. "Yeah, me too," she half-mumbled, finding some potatoes and mashing them, spreading butter over them. Grabbing and buttering some bread.too, and getting herself some string beans. Slowly, she began to notice.

"..." It was like the plate from that day, at the dinner table. It even looked like the same kind of bread. She felt nauseous, she could feel her insides swishing around like a turbulent, angry ocean...

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume was visibly sweating and shaking with a nervous smile upon her face. "Is... that so? Oh! Great!" She laughed awkwardly. "Tell him I-" Wait a minute. What the hell, what the hell. Slow down, slow down. He's dead. He's... dead. Suko just... thinks he's not?...

...unless...

No, it's not like anyone saw it happen, but how could a mannequin in that little time be tailored to look so much like the charred body, and to have all the appropriate details, the question of Femi being missing, and more, him being alive... just didn't make sense.

And yet she almost wanted to believe it, as she thought back to the almost-stranger crying in the Nurse's Office...

When she thought back to what Kowai had said to Suko. That. That monster.

How...

How could she?

Nothing personal about Amano. Maybe that was forgivable. She might as well have put him out of his misery by doing that. But... the amount of suffering she put Femi through... and everyone else, for no reason. Was beyond unforgivable.

Then, she snapped back to reality. "Oh!! Yeah, definitely. Things are..." Her eyes began to water. "Great. Things are great."

Suzume Fujimori's POV

"..." Suzume was lost in thought. Suddenly, she realized something. She'd... heard something? Wait.

Suko was speaking. Suko was looking at her. They had been talking to her? Had she really been glaring?! Not again. Unsure how to react, Suzume gave a small, awkward wave and what was supposed to be a smile. "Hello, Suko Nobu," she greeted. Wow, this was awkward. She had barely had any character interactions with them.

What was she supposed to say? "It's good to see you! How's Femi been doing?" As soon as the sentence slipped out of her mouth, she realized. Wait. WAIT. What did I just say?!

Suzume Fujimori's POV

"...oh. It's them." Suzume felt a pang of guilt, as though her heart stopped for a moment. She had glanced over and seen Suko Nobu, looking as eager and chaotic as ever, in the cafeteria. They had been with Koda, and then she had left. It made sense that things were uneasy between those two.

Femi, Kowai. Both of the ones they were closest with, were dead. Maybe that was why Suko had been trying to bond with her now. Suzume almost felt compelled to go talk to them... they hadn't been taking this well.

Or... were they doing better now? No. Surely it was a mask...

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume nodded intently, lowering her head and biting her lip. "I wonder if any of the dishes are poisoned," she mused. There was definitely a chance of that. It wasn't just... Nagisa's death that made her worry about this. Anyone could be killing at any time.

She was really hungry, though... She'd eat anything, honestly. That is, so long as it doesn't kill me.

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume sighed in frustration and put her hands on her hips. "Really? But we were just about to--"
No. She was hungry anyway. "I... guess we might as well."
It was good they were all moving in a group like this... but was everyone else more separated? Could a murder possibly take place? She shuddered. Or two. She remembered Amano's blank face, his head bashed in.

How fitting, that he'd be head of directing.

Femi Davis, his body horrifically charred beyond repair. The news of his screaming, of his pounding on the door, of him slashing out Suko's name with his fingernails with the last bit of life in him, no one hearing him calling for help...

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume raised her eyebrows at the purple-haired boy that she hadn't had many character interactions with. "Oh, of course. You two and some others can join! And maybe--" she hesitated, "Majikaruman as well. Yes, that would be great."

Is Hisoka avoiding me? Why am I not surprised.

Her hands and arms spread in and out emphatically as she spoke. "You have to hear Megami's playing! It's, breathtaking! It's- extraordinary! It's... ahem. She's very talented." She cleared her throat, fist over her mouth, containing herself.

Suzume Fujimori's POV

"I see. It's just, Megami and I need players for Musical Chairs. Can't just do it ourselves, you know. Jewelry making... that's interesting."

I wonder if someone could be poisoned or stabbed with those? she couldn't help but think about it. Plus, some minerals could be toxic. Like gold, for example...

"It's a shame we can't just repair the dart board. Would you happen to know anyone who might be interested in playing Musical Chairs?" She did the Thinking Face emoji basically, in terms of hand placement and facial expression. "I can see you're both rather busy here."

Quote
"Remember what happened to Icarus," F warned me. "He didn't flap hard enough," I replied.

Now playing: Little Rock Star - Lucinda Williams 0:01 *------------ 5:43

“Hey little rock star, what don't you see?

This is not all that it's cracked up to be,

And I can't say I blame you,

For throwing the towel in,

Or buying more fame

By cashing your chips in

But with all of your talent,

And so much to gain

To toss it away like that,

Would be such a shame”

Suzume Fujimori // The Genius

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Age: 16 [Entering Hope's Peak]
17 [Current]

Personality: Suzume Fujimori is a reserved, cold, aloof, and introverted individual. She is rather quiet most of the time, and tends to be very socially oblivious. Oftentimes, she'll say or do something and then realize afterward that it was completely unacceptable of her, sometimes she never notices.

She is very curious and deeply interested in exploring every aspect of many different things. Her greatest curiosity, though, lies in all and any forms of science. She can get very excitable when anyone asks her about the topic, and often goes off rambling on various tangents.

She is very logical and sensible most of the time, doing her best not to let emotional judgments get in the way of things. However, it seems more so that she lacks an understanding of her emotions, and has a great difficulty with them, rather than having less emotions or being less emotional than everyone else.

She tends to think everything through the best she can, not to be one to jump to conclusions. Considers every possible logical aspect of something, every possible direction it could go in, the various details.

Suzume is apparently very ambitious, and will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. Although she is rather reserved, is not afraid to confront others. She can be incredibly blunt, judgmental, and harsh in this regard. She is not the best at emotionally reading people, nor reading the room.

She does not seem to have particularly strong morals, although it seems there are some things she has a limit for.

Suzume is incredibly calm on the surface, but it seems she has underlying anxiety, fear, and guilt brewing within her mind, and worsening over the course of the Killing Game. The question is... what is all that about?

Suzume Fujimori's POV

Suzume smiled at Megami. If only things were as perfect as they seemed right now... "I better go check how the other activities are coming along, maybe get someone to play Musical Chairs. Your playing is... exceptional, Nutmeg." She kissed her on the cheek, and then darted off before she could start thinking about how ginormously awkward that was.

...

Maybe we'll get out of here. But what then?

Potential images flashed through her mind. Images of two young, talented women, going to a cafe together. One of them spitting out her coffee and laughing at how unexpectedly bad the taste was. The strumming of a guitar as one of the pair watched and scribbled down notes on a pad, analyzing and appreciating every tune that came out. Introducing each other to their different loves of literature, one discovering the joys of fiction, the other the fascination of certain non-fiction.

Looking up at the stars and thinking about the universe, and how it may have aligned so that they might spend this night together. Watching the sun rising in the morning, and then wondering why the heck they both stayed up so late. Making up a coded language and guessing what the other was saying, sometimes failing miserably. Coming home from work each day to each other.

Making plans on how to improve the house together. Adopting a pet dog, maybe a pet lizard. Going to art museums, to concerts. Having those deep conversations and grasping each others’ hands, looking into the other’s eyes…

Saying vows together, planning for the future… laughing, smiling, crying…

Even if we could get out of here…

You have to tell her eventually.

That future might never be…

Then, she got drawn out of her distractive thoughts. She saw Hisoka, Majikaruman, Niwa. “...”

She found herself looking mostly at Hisoka. But she couldn’t talk to him, not here, not now. Suzume Fujimori crossed her arms tightly, a worn expression upon her face.

“So, darts. How’s that going? Would any of you happen to be interested in Musical Chairs?” She was, in all honesty, curious about this game. Plus, there were more pressing measures. Talking to Hisoka, preventing another murder from being committed…

Is there even any point to that? Is there any way out of this place?
