She nodded. "...hopefully, we can figure this out." And then... and then what then? her mind repeated. Someone new dies, it's all the same. Soon there won't be anyone left, and then finding out the truth about this all... it won't even really matter anymore.

But... Although her relationship with Suko may have been complicated, she wanted to figure out the truth. Maybe more for Koda's sake than for her own, as she watched the girl glance at Suko one last time.

"Let's go," she said bitterly, and Suzume couldn't help but wonder what she was thinking.

"I'll go to the dorms," Suzume replied promptly. "I think there may be... Some clues there."
So much to process here...
"I don't know," Koda responded. She was at a loss. She wanted to stay there with... What remained of Kowai and Suko. And at the same time, she wanted to go. Maybe it was seeing Kowai, who her eyes at the same time met with... Disgust, that made this so difficult.

Suzume put a hand on Koda's shoulder. "Hey..."

"Don't touch me!" Koda spat. Suzume flinched. "I just... Wanted to say, I'm sorry. You were really close to both of them. Although I understand your relationship with Kowai was... Complicated. This must be a lot to process for you."

Koda's eyes flashed with hurt. "It is... It definitely is. What do you care?"

"I... Just do. We'll get to the bottom of this, okay?'

"Can we prove anything?" Suzume sputtered in frustration. "Maji... Did you see anything earlier? Anything that might be of note? And why would Suko kill Kowai? They blamed themselves for Femi's death... So if anything, it might be the other way around. Kowai might have killed Suko in their moment of weakness. Wait... Where did we see Suko last?"

"We don't know that," Suzume pointed out. "The killer could be among us."
A strange sound effect played upon Suzume's last two words. "Remind me to beat up my roleplayer for that joke," she muttered. "Anyway, we need to figure out if this was a suicide, or if they both killed each other, or if someone else killed them. Somehow. Did anyone find anything earlier, that might help us?"

Koda shook her head. "A lot of us are shocked... That... Kowai WAS alive." She was staring at Suko's body still...

Suzume turned over Kowai's body, and observed... "There are a lot of bullet holes in her chest." She may have put up a big fight.

"Blood everywhere in the water," Koda pointed out. "I guess... They might have both been shot."
Suzume nodded. "Didn't Suko own a gun? Ultimate Gunman... How ironic." Koda could almost hear Hisoka's voice in those last two words.

"The investigation for my death will now commence. You will not be granted a Monokuma File because I will not be there to organize it. How despairful! Puhuhuhuhu~ You know, I always liked that laugh! I came up with it! Enjoy conducting the investigation without any of my help this time! That's right, I was literally helping you through the previous trials, trying to guide you in the right direction. Anyway, good luck!"

It felt so empty here now... without Suko, to make a loud, chaotic, annoying remark.

"There's a chance they're still alive, Hisoka," Suzume snapped. Then her face softened. She would have wanted to spend the day with Megami... if she was here. "I'm sorry. But we have to find them."

Koda sighed. "I want to go to the pool! It would be nice to swim around..."

Suzume glared in her direction. "This is no time for swimming! Although, I guess we could check the pool first. Anyone else in favor?"

Koda groaned. Hopefully nobody was dead. "I'm in favor!" Oh, Koda, nothing's wrong, don't worry about it! You don't know that!

Suzume turned to look in Chuku's direction.

"I agree about doing justice. But... I also agree with Maji. If we never find a body... no one has to die... right?" She grimaced. So conflicting, so conflicting...

"We might find it eventually anyway," Koda pointed out. "...typical someone would die again."

Suzume sighed. "Indeed."

Suzume raised her head and turned. Hisoka was here.
"Oh, hello... Hisoka." There was a tint of awkwardness to Koda's voice, she seemed unsure how to respond. Suzume recalled the slightly antagonistic relationship between the two...
“Hisoka. It’s good to see you,” Suzume stated. She wanted to say more. But she saw Koda’s impatient expression, and decided to stay silent.
But then, she heard Chuku. "Someone's... dead?" she sputtered. "Who? How?..." Could someone... really have done it? When?... The darkness seemed to grip her ever tighter.

"Let's try... the kitchen first," Suzume decided. There was no particular reason for this decision. Notably, there were people missing..

Koda Starikuma’s POV

"I'm sorry, Megami," she murmured, slowly flipping the notebook open. She had to find some kind of answer... maybe if she had her girlfriend's notes, she could... do something with them.

This was all she had left. Other than the note, and the cup. She slowly set it onto the table. It was almost too beautiful to use for whatever drinks Monokuma might serve...

"Oh, god, can you go away already?" Suzume muttered. It was that darkness again, gripping at her shoulders. "Can you... quit dragging me down already? Please?"

I just need to focus. Find the mastermind. It's all that matters.

It was like a letter, containing her final experiment.

Hopefully, this one wouldn't fail.

Huh? Go away?

"I'm already far away," she growled. What could she possibly want? But Suzume seemed... somewhere else. She was talking to someone behind her, except there was no one and nothing there.
