(I may have repeated what others have said for clarity. I apologize if I basically say something you've already said!)

One thing that's always left me confused about the blocking system here is the fact it doesn't do just that: hiding them from your view. As it is now, all it does it prevent them from replying to your feeds, sending you palpads/PMs, and preventing GTS offers from them. It could definitely use an overhaul, especially with how the community features took a big drop in activity last year.

Generally, if I have blocked someone, I do so because I don't want to see them and don't want them to see me. As an example, say I blocked someone because they constantly spam the notification wall with annoying messages; with the current system, I STILL see their annoying messages. The entire reason I blocked them is moot.

I think there should be a list of users you have blocked, and a visibility toggle next to their name. You can either completely hide them from your PH experience (meaning you see no feeds, forum posts, etc. by them period), a softer/middle version like how yukiwolf5 mentioned (their messages are hidden behind a spoiler so you can choose to look at them if you want to), and then a third option that lets you see everything that user posts (say you just blocked them because they're awful at GTS offers, but otherwise they're fine). By default, the user you blocked will "match" your visibility if you've chosen to make their stuff completely hidden (so they cannot see your feeds, forum posts and threads, GTS trades, profile, etc.).

Optionally, you can also write a reason you've blocked the person as a reminder to yourself. This way, you can say User A is blocked for lowball trade offers, User B for spam, User C for breaking your shiny shop rules repeatedly, etc. I don't feel it's necessary to let the blocked person know why you blocked them (as this could cause drama in a way like "Gee, Username blocked me for a lowball trade? I never did that! Hey everyone, no one should trade with Username because they'll rip you off, etc.")

This might help some of the hornet's nests that get stirred up from time to time. Say there's a trending feed that's causing problems and making people upset; by blocking the user who made the feed, you don't have to see it anymore and will likely avoid seeing more "troublesome" content from them in the future.

As a side note, I think people would feel safer too. There's a lot of younger users on here, and if they get bullied by someone and don't want to see them (and don't want the bully to see their own stuff), this should help immensely.

I've seen this on other sites (both Pokemon and non-Pokemon) and I've always thought it was a cute idea.

Some people use them to write little short stories about their Pokemon, some just come up with a moveset their Pokemon would have in a normal game, and others just write something personal in the bio (like "This Pokemon was given to me by X, a dear friend of mine," "If lost, please return to Username," or "I hunted shiny Eevee for 65 days and this little guy was egg #370," etc.). I've even seen people post song lyrics in a Pokemon's bio.

I think it's just a cute little quality of life update. I think a lot of people would find some fun in it. Not everyone would use it, but those who are into RP or have OCs would probably like it.

9000 PD= 9 tickets
400 nuggets= 600 tickets (400/50= 8... 8x75=600)
9+600+40+40= 689 tickets total

To celebrate the addition of my favorite (and the overall greatest ever) Pokemon to the site, I'm holding a huge lottery! There's no real goal aside from encouraging my unhealthy obsession! XD

Lottery begins January 1, 00:00 server time (reset). Deadline to enter the lottery is January 31, 23:00 server time (one hour before reset).

Rules:
1. All PH rules apply. Please be polite!
2. All items sent to me will be kept and are non-refundable (as is the nature of a lottery).
3. You may enter as many times as you'd like! Tickets will be given out in order (ex. User 1 gives a Rotom and gets Tickets 1-20, User 2 gives a Microwave and gets Tickets 21-60, etc.)
4. Winners are chosen via random.org. If you do not win a prize, I apologize. Bad luck of the draw!
5. If you have blocked me or I have blocked you, please do not enter the lottery. Do NOT ask others to enter in your place.
6. If you have questions, feel free to ask me via PM or Palpad. The thread is better organized this way!
7. Please keep the thread and ticket list clean! Ex. Do not buy a single ticket for PD after every other user who enters, as it creates a mess.

Not really a rule, but it might be wise to subscribe to the thread for updates! Due to the large nature of the lottery, I will not contact individual winners, and it is up to you to check to see if you've won at the end of the month and contact me to claim your prize.

Prizes:
-Each tier lists multiple prizes. There are over 60 prizes available, so you have a good chance of winning at least something!
-Art prizes can only be won by a user once; ex. if User A wins a 12-month ticket, they cannot win a 4-month ticket. Other prizes can be won multiple times by the same user if their ticket numbers are drawn!
-Art prizes must follow my art shop's posted rules and regulations (ie. no humans/humanoids) and are valued at minimum 250,000 PD apiece.
-Art prizes are non-transferrable. If you win and do not want the art prize for yourself, a new ticket will be drawn for it. This also means a multi-month ticket cannot be "split" or shared with multiple users. You are given the opportunity to "opt-out" of winning an art prize at the time of entry.

I've been super-super busy with lots of different projects (my Christmas sale, for one) so I've kind of just left this thread alone for a while. Sorry! I've also updated the first post with a disclaimer that it may take me months to get to a request. I hope you can understand! ;w;
