“Telling your entire group that I can see fate, having no sense of direction…” she counted off on her fingers, “Yeah, you must be very busy!”

Charlotte being Charlotte, she did sort of feel bad for the uncontrollable snark. So she followed it up with: “So how did your meeting with Miss Saint Deity go? Anything exciting? Does she look like the statue in Darmenhagen?”

Charlotte cracked an eye open.

“Hi. What are you doing up here?”

Charlotte sat on the roof of the manor, swinging her legs off the edge. She watched half heartedly as some of her fate strings (like the one tied to Kendo, as well as others who weren’t asleep) moved around.

With a sigh, she leaned back on the roof and closed her eyes. It was no use getting any sleep with a whole group of powerful strangers just under her.

Charlotte wandered aimlessly around the church. She explored some of the upper rooms, but failed to find anything interesting and came back to the main group. The church was old, most of its fate strings having dissolved. It was overwhelmingly sad to her—such a beautiful building left without purpose.

The arrival of a second—who was it? Itri? Was at the very least interesting. Having spent so much time on the road though, she reflected, she’d seen a lot of weird things so it wasn’t too startling.

…What were they doing here, anyways?

Charlotte glared at Kendo as she was dragged around with the group. His navigational skills were horrible—this was indeed the place she was supposed to go.

She KNEW he already knew everything about her.

She would hang back for now. It did no good to jump in cohorts with people she didn’t know

That direction was decidedly not the direction that the specific fate string was telling her to go. That was due Northwest.

“…Right. Okay.”

Charlotte thought on the idea of following Kendo, brows scrunched up in concentration. Fate was nudging her towards going with the weird dude that fell out of the sky. And distrusting real, actual Fate was a horrible idea.

“I’ll come with you. It sounds fun, and I’ve never teleported before! But you’ll have to promise to bring me back here if I decide I don’t want to stay. Deal?” She stuck out her hand for him to shake.

That was… a compelling argument. Her fate strings were a little unusual compared to most other ones she saw, Kendo excepted as his were wildly unusual, stringing out in all directions and some fading out of existence. If he really was a time traveler…

There was one thing she could check, though. Because the rebel group just might be where she was supposed to be headed.

“Very weird question, but can you just… point? To the direction of where we’d be going if, for some reason, I did decide to join you all in your saint quest or whatever?”

“Can you give me a good reason? Because I’ve been trying to avoid getting into this as One, I’m kind of lacking in the fighting ability department and Two, I just try to avoid conflict in general. I consider myself a fun loving person and non-confrontational. Most of the time. I also have somewhere to be, and I don’t care if you or your little group are obviously supposed to be involved in my life via Fate—“

Oops. That might’ve been too much. Just a tad. But Charlotte kind of wondered if maybe he knew EVERYTHING about her. At this point she wouldn’t necessarily be surprised.

“Here, I’ve got one! What’s the only thing taller than you? Your ego.”

Charlotte was starting to get more annoyed. Let it never be said that she didn’t like a good joke, but strangers approaching her randomly and knowing things about her… well, she was curious. And Fate told her that he was very clearly important.

“And the strings and lights are none of your concern. In my culture, it’s rude to ask about peoples abilities without a legitimate reason.”

That was a lie. She didn’t really belong to any culture, and was faking her way through the whole thing.

“…the writers? Actually, no. I don’t think I want to know. What I DO want to know is: if you can teleport, why didn’t you do it on the ground? And also, what do you want? I’m kind of busy.”

Charlotte was giving this guy five minutes (if that) before she up and walked off if he didn’t get to the point.

Charlotte was startled by a… man? Who just appeared in the sky, and fell? And he was strung and lit up with the tell-tale signs of someone she was connected to.

“Hello there!”

She waved back awkwardly, still flabbergasted. “…Hi?”

Title: Charlotte—post #2

Charlotte felt the fate string give a tug again.

“WHAT?! I’m actively walking towards the destination! I know we’re almost there, but I can afford to stop for a while to rest.”

She laid out out some blankets to sleep on from her bag and a makeshift tarp roof supported by sticks. Exhausted from days of travel in foot, it was easy enough for Charlotte to fall asleep.

Title: Charlotte—Post #1

Charlotte felt one of her fate strings tug her East.

She took a furtive glance around the street to make sure no one was paying attention to her. “What?!”

She’d been following this string for the past two weeks, the incessant wobbling and tugging letting her know that the time her ‘destiny’ would connect with the place was drawing nearer.

“I need to stock up on food supplies. The journey isn’t over yet. And besides, there’s another one of you pointing somewhere around this area.” The other fate string in question wiggled in response to her acknowledgement.

Charlotte approached a stall in the market that seemed to sell more long-term food like dried fruit and jerky. She haggled with the owner until they reached a decent price, and had just handed over the money when she was yanked around. Charlotte followed the string with her eyes to see a dagger, lit up with fate that only she could see, just hanging out in a cart. She grabbed her things and ran, yoinking the weapon from the cart before the man could get out of her vision.

No one followed her as she fled the town, going a ways down the road before slowing down. She began inspecting the dagger as she walked. Charlotte was grateful for the good craftsmanship and care that had come into its creation: it would serve her well. Over all, the weapon was simple in its design.

She was glad for the discovery, it didn’t always go well to travel unarmed. With this in mind, she strapped the dagger into the sheath she’d stolen the week before and continued on her way.

Maggie knew as soon as the Mew mentioned 'stealth,' that she would not be going on that specific mission. Sure, she could be graceful at times, but not sneaky. Her large hooves and odd patterns weren't exactly good for that.

She hummed thoughtfully, looking around for someone to talk with instead. There was a decent looking group of various Pokemon to her left, and she figured it would be a good place to start if she wanted to try and get to know anyone. And it looked like they might have some berries! Preparing herself for conversation, Maggie plodded over to the scattered group. She ended up standing closest to a Glameow, speaking halfway to him but also to everyone else in the odd mix that'd taken some kind of shape.

"Hate to interrupt whatever's going on over here, but I'm trying to familiarize myself with the Pokemon here-- since you guys seem to already at the very least talked to other I was hoping I could hop in and make some acquaintances or... or something like that? So yeah."
