"That sounds a lot like the Witches from where I'm from." Melia pulled off her green gemstone ring and started to fiddle with it again. "Hard to kill, insanely large..." she stopped before she mentioned the stones and people. It would be a terrible icebreaker to say that she was basically a ticking time bomb.

"...I see you've got a bow there." Melia gestured towards the weapon Ester held in her hand. "How long have you been learning?"

Withdrawing from her conversation with Anima, mainly due to more people asking questions and talking with her, Melia's attention was drawn to the conversation about demons. "You have demons in your world as well?" She asked Ester. "I end up fighting demons...er, what some people may call demons. A lot of people don't even know that they actually exist, though." she added, a little quieter than before.

Name: Eyre (pronounced air) Cloud (legally known as Eyre Enkir)

Age: 26, both actually and physically.

Race: Sea-Goat

Pronouns: She/Her

Gender: Female

Appearance: [X] Eyre, due to her abilities, can shapeshift into two different forms. One is her sea-goat form (which isn't done yet), and the other form is her human form. She is normally in a slightly altered human form, with thick, sturdy horns jutting out from her skull. Eyre says that she's 5'6 in her human form, but that's just counting her horns. She's actually about 5 feet tall. On her horns are two cuffs, both a coral pink color. Eyre normally wears a coral colored blouse along with a tropical cyan pleated skirt. Along with that, she wears spandex and white Mary Jane's. Her skin is fair, but it isn't as pale as her hair. Her hair is cut up into a short bob, barely passing the nape of her neck. There are two strands of hair that are longer than the others, and they reach just past the shoulder. As a sea-goat she has pure white fur and a light cyan tail. Some of the scales are holographic, and under certain lighting, it can look like her whole tail is a rainbow.

Personality: If you asked anyone that knows her what her defining trait was, they would probably say independent. She hates relying on others, as she puts it, "I'm not some dainty princess who does nothing for herself." She's stubborn, but she does admit her mistakes when she is wrong. Along with that, she is humble and prefers to stick in the shadows where she isn't noticed compared to being out in the spotlight.

Magic: While sea-goats have a high aptitude for magic, most end up relying on the power of coral to harness and amplify their magic even more. Eyre specializes in water-aligned attacking skills (including its other states), but can also heal and shapeshift into a human form. She, like all sea-goats, were taught how to use telepathy at a young age as a more convenient way to communicate under water. While she hasn't tested the range recently, she has been able to send and receive messages from around a mile away, though they aren't the most clear.

Weapons: Her horns and her coral

Backstory: Eyre comes from a line of royalty who have social power, but little to no political power. She is one of four siblings, the rest being brothers. She would always play rough with them, clashing horns in sport. When Eyre turned 18, she received her coral cuffs, and set off to make a name for herself. She headed for land, changing her last name so she wouldn't be recognized as easily. At least in public. Legally her last name is still Enkir.

Other: Eyre is a fan of the many colors of coral, but the pinkish color of her coral cuffs is her favorite.

"This place is lovely and all," Melia started, a faint smile forming. "But I was wondering if we could...you know...go back to our home worlds, even for a little bit?" She reached for the seed in her pocket, and pulled it out to show Animā.

The seed was black and metallic and cold to the touch. It looked more like a charm than a seed. "I need these to survive, unless another form of purification is readily accessible and works on me, " She clarified. "They are common where I'm from, but I have a feeling that they are nonexistent pretty much everywhere else." she stuffed the grief seed back in her pocket.

"Besides that, I'm fine with helping you! I assure you, I can be pretty useful in combat, and I know a bit about first aid."

Melia nodded along, but a thought started growing and festering in her mind. She wasn't a hero--at least compared to the few magical girls that she had met--so why was she here? She had noticed before she left that more witches had popped up in her city was that a result of this evil?

She took a look around the area. The beings around her all gave off different feelings, different auras. It was a sign of their power. Some were stronger than others, but no one else was like her. "A blessing and a curse," she thought.

"Well, if we're going to be working together I guess we should introduce ourselves then!" She was curious of the other forms of magic they all had, and where they came from. "I'm Melia. A lot of people end up calling me Kiwi because of my hair." She tapped one of her pigtails. She purposefully kept her powers a secret. They can be a surprise for later.

Melia fiddled one of her silver rings, the green gemstone shimmering in the light. She had a thousand questions running through her head, and was unable to anwser even a few questions. How long would they be here? If it was for a while, how would she get grief seeds? She only had the one on her and that wouldn't last long. She took a breath and calmed herself down, letting the chaos settle to mere murmurs.

One of the others in the crowd was yelling at the fairy who brought them here. While she understood why, Melia found it to be over dramatic to yell at the fairy right away. "We should at least let Animā here say why we were brought together before we start getting aggressive." she suggested, her voice even and calm.

Hearing no response from the two, Shift went to the other elevator close by. He was alone with his thoughts and so he thought.

He would have to fight, it was inevitable, from what it seemed like. He would miss his few days of rest, but he was itching for a fight, a real fight, and he might just get what he wanted.

But that didn't matter right now. Shift was at the plaza and he needed to focus on the matter at hand. There were a few others in the plaza, some humans, some animals or animal-like beings, all of them unique in appearance. He spotted Deimos in the crowd but didn't approach him. They would have time to chat later.

Shift shot up from sleep. He sat there for a few moments, simply processing the dream. He let his feet rest on the cool floor. The sensation helped him as he became more lucid and grounded. "This is why I don't sleep often..." he groaned. He stood up and went to the mirror to fix his hair.

As Shift fixed up his hair, he thought to himself. "I should stay on guard," he murmured. "Normally I wouldn't trust beings that harass me in my sleep," he paused, eyeing the serpentine brand on his wrist, its red eyes staring right back at him. The sleeve must have rolled up last night. He pulled his sleeve over it, but he could still feel its gaze. "Your judgment's still strong, even now," he commented. Shift finished, though it looked like nothing changed. "Let's go."

He left the room, looking down both ends of the hallway for anyone who might have also seen the dream. Seeing no one, he went to the nearest elevator, only to be greeted to a scene. An angel and a stick person were in the room, the stick person in the corner with a look of fear about him. The angel seemed to be as confused about the situation as Shift was.

"Am I... interrupting something? I'll just...go to the next elevator." Shift started to turn away from the scene.

A Brief Introduction

I'm Lindith. On other places you may see me as LocrianSilver, Acrene, or ForgottenWarren. Feel free to use any pronouns, but I often use She/Her.

Some of my hobbies include singing, drawing, and writing. I also play video games, some of the ones I'm into the most at the moment are Hollow Knight, Minecraft, Splatoon, and Hello Charlotte. I do have a few more that I enjoy, but I don't remember them right now.

I hate describing myself to others so I'll just say a few things. I am a bit shy so I may be reluctant to respond. If I sound mad on text 99% of the time I'm not. Sorry if I'm wordy.

The room was still as untouched as when he arrived. He kept the lights off and went to sit on the bed. Shift decided to close his eyes for a moment, and almost instantaneously he fell asleep.

"Yeah, that's fair." Shift wouldn't normally worry about annoying staff or anyone in authority, but his gut told him that he might find out what happens to those who stayed out too late if they continued. "See you later, then." Shift waved goodbye as he headed to an elevator to go to his room.

He listened to Deimos, nodding along to his explanation. "I know a handful of people that would enjoy a world like that, at least compared to mine. Mine is...how should I put it..fantastical, but not the most ideal place to live. The gods fight all the time, putting everyone else in constant danger. Some of us try to get rid of them becoming gods or God-like with our magic. A lot of the time it..." he paused, rubbing his right wrist. The brand was there, and while it was covered by his jacket, it would still mark him as a mistake, a powerful one, but a mistake that was irreversible. "...A lot of the time it fails." Shift personally thought he had went into too much detail about his world and his life, they just met not even an hour ago, but he couldn't retract what he said. A part of him, the lonely part that yearned for his friend, didn't really want to.

Deimos's home world being constantly dark helped explain the man's pale completion. No need for melanin if the main source of UV rays, the sun, was absent. Shift walked alongside him, making small changes to his height so that they were both the same height. "So what's your home world like anyway? From what you've said it already sounds very different from mine."

"Deimos..." he thought, "The name is familiar, wasn't Raven related to a Deimos?" he put that to the side, it most likely wasn't the same person anyways. "That's fair, while I'm not one to retreat into a room, everyone needs some alone time." a pause. "We have a bit of time to kill, do you wanna chat for a bit, maybe roam the halls? I have a bit of a habit of needing to move around, you see."

Shift had almost immediately turned back into a more human form, leaving a few small feathers in his hair and skin with the rush. "Don't worry about the music, I was barely able to hear it." He gave a comforting smile along with the statement. "I was just walking the halls when I heard it." He was actually flying in the halls, but figured it didn't matter too much. "And I figured that I could introduce myself, in spite of the odd time." Everyone else, from what he heard, was asleep or out of their rooms, with this person being the exception.

"Call me Shift," he held out a hand, a few down feathers peeking out from the cuff of his jacket. "Some people call me The Wanderer, but I find that it's better for a title than a name."

As Shift flew around, he heard the faint sound of music coming from one of the rooms. He followed the sound, hoping that whoever or whatever was over there was willing to hold a conversation. He stopped in front of the window. The person was awake, and it looked like they just got done cleaning up the room. He politely knocked on the window using his talons.
