Amelia froze at the sight of Tapu Balu. What was with all the legendaries?! Frustration and worry clouded her mind at the sight. Was something wrong going on that summoned them?

Either way, she quietly stepped forward and tried to creep around, hands in her pockets. Maybe if she acted casually, the creature wouldn't take notice of her, and she could get past. Maybe there was a more competent professor in the next town she could report this to, she thought. ... Then again probably not.

(Would it be ok if I made another character? I like playing troublemakers more I've realized, and my current one's kinda boring personality wise. XD)

Leia took the name tag and clipped it on, before sliding the folder in front of her and opening it. She glanced up to look at May. "C'mon, just read it." She says with a sigh, before looking back down and thumbing through the contents. "Hell, the sooner you do, the faster we can get outta here." She added as she flipped another page.

"No guarantees." Cora grumbled to the lizard demon as they were slowly lowered and let out of the vines. She herself did not want another fight, but who knew what the other girl would do. With that, she brushed her dress off, and tried to straighten her messy hair. "Well, that was fun." She said sarcastically to them both with a slight chuckle. She turned to Juritsi and grinned sheepishly. "Ah.. and thank you for the help. Sorry you got dragged into that." She added, somewhat embarrassed by the whole thing now that she thought about it.

She looked around- no teachers here yet, which was surprising. "Think we should leave before the faculty gets here?"

Alya coughed as the room filled with smoke but said nothing, grateful for the light that was provided. She headed to the side of her cell to see the ones talking- just to gawk as someone already managed to squeeze themselves out. "I think so!" She answered Shay. Maybe they would make it!

"H-hey, um, if overloading it doesn't work, perhaps the cages themselves could still be broken?" She said, wanting to at least try and add to the conversation. "By, y'know, by someone it wasn't made for?" She offered, though sounding unsure about her own suggestion. The wish Pokemon glanced at their own lock, a slight glow forming in her hands as she wished she could Meteor Mash the thing to pieces. But she knew better than that- it wouldn't work and could set off something.

The nervous gijinka glanced at the others, trying to be patient, hoping that whatever plan the Mew and Lunala had concocted would work.

Amelia nods, glad that they liked the name. "Alright! Now lets get going, huh?" Before anything else happened- though there was no way Amelia was saying that thought out loud. She headed out the lab doors and slowly started towards the first route, being careful not to trip over anymore trash along the way.

Cora frown remained as James answered her question with a lecture. How could he tell she was injured? Was he there the whole time? If so, then he was a sneaky one to be wary of. She kept this in mind.

"If those are your conditions, then I suppose I'll remain up here." The stubborn girl answered, since he pretty much told her to do the exact opposite of what she'd planned. "Tho-" She yelped, thoughts interrupted as the bubble gave way, only for someone else to yell through the cacophony of voices and wrap them in vines before they got started once more.

There was an awkward silence for a moment. Then she peered down at the newcomers. "I'm sure we've stopped now." She spoke to Veil, half wondering if she should shift forms and try to slip out instead.

First freaky shadows, and now vicious plants. What a day.

Cora gasped as a bubble suddenly formed around each of them, floating them up to the air. She frowned at the shadow demon below. "She started it." She stated simply, motioning to Lunar with her undamaged arm. She hid the wound on her left from sight, not wanting to go to the hospital wing and alert more faculty, especially since the hallway was now.. well... a complete mess.

The sea demon sighs tiredly. "What would you like in exchange for letting us out?"

Alya was in a deep sleep, having since been lulled by gentle humming and the coolness in the air. At least until she was jolted awake by a familiar voice: "Who wants to blow this joint?"

The Jirachi responded without hesitation. "I, I do!" She stuttered. With sudden, newfound energy at the prospect of escape, she stood up and slowly felt her way to the front of her cell. She peeked through the bars to look for the voice- the first voice she's heard in weeks- but was unable to see within the pitch blackness. At least she knew there was someone there, she thought.

Suddenly, metallic clanking could be heard as Alya pulled and rammed on the bars. Yet of course they wouldn't budge. They didn't when she first got here, so why would they now?

"Any ideas on how to break outta this place?" She shook the metal door, somewhat desperate. Still nothing. "No weak spots over here."

Cora stared- somewhat jealously- at their new forms. Unless she wanted to flop around like a fish, she couldn't change here. Hopefully she could learn an in-between form for herself later this year.

No use groaning over it though. She excelled more at defensive spells, so she had might as well use them. She looked over to the now gargantuan shifter. "A bit of a warning: this will be cold."

Her eyes changed pitch black as she muttered once more, air becoming frigid and mist filling the halls. Water slowly formed around Juritsi and- if he let it- froze in place around him. The water would specifically avoid areas around the joints, winding up forming into a makeshift armor of sorts. Satisfied with her work, she turned back towards Lunar.

"Amazed now?" She asked. More powerful in the now cooler environment, she shot sharp arrows of ice at her feet, trying to pin her in place.

Cora cringed as she felt a sudden, sharp pain in her arm, though from who's blade she wasn't sure at this point. Probably Lunar's, she thought. Holding the wound in her arm, she shot two more ice crystals, though backing off somewhat. It was obvious who the more experienced fighters were- and it wasn't the sea demon.

Cora stumbled backwards, barely dodging the tail as it hit the remaining ice shards with an almost eerie accuracy. "Tell her that!" She says with a huff, brushing bits of ice off her skirt. "She started this." While thankful for the shifter stepping in to break the fight, she'd be surprised if it suddenly stopped there.

She glared at Lunar as she changed into her more demonic form. Great. Too bad they weren't near water. "I can see that." She replied in turn to the 'no heart' comment, murmuring and forming more orbs. Seeing Lunar pull out her sword after the block, Cora immediately shot two more shards. She shot them past Juristi and charged in, determined to get a hit in before Lunar could try anything else.

Cora balked. Was she really readying a weapon?! Guess this really was a mugging. She sighed, muttering an incantation. Orbs of water slowly appeared one by one. Their glow brightened as she continued her murmuring, slowly being strengthened.

Though before she could do anything else, a rather odd demon appeared. It's appearance startled her somewhat- like a blank slate of marble shifting right before her eyes. Yet despite the reptilian body it ended up with, they seemed rather friendly? They seemed to be smiling, at least, and had waved at them. She greeted him with a curt bow of her head. "Hello, and my apologies in advance." The orbs swirled faster. She frowned- hopefully he was just a bystander and not a friend of hers. "But she's not getting first hit!"

One of the orbs froze into a shard of ice. Without a warning, it suddenly whizzed past Lunar and stabbed right into a locker. Cora mentally cursed herself for missing and charged at the other girl, preparing another ice shard in her hand.

(Yesss
... Poor Juristi tho. Goes to say hi then gets greeted with this XD)

Amelia giggled as the eager kitten quickly nodded their head. "Alright then, lets see.." She still couldn't tell their gender, but she was okay with it being a surprise when they evolved. So she went with a more neutral name. "Does Echo sound good to you, or nah?"

She looked back as the professor returned. Once a name was chosen, she decided they were headed out. Amelia was eager to get away before the madwoman's machine summons Arceus next.

Cora stopped in her tracks at the voice. She turned and stares at the rude girl with a glare. They looked like a thug more than a student, so there was no way she was telling her anything. "Why should I tell you?"

(Is it bad that I kinda want em to fight? They could have first fight of the schoolyear.. XD)

The Espurr comforted her somewhat as they perched on her shoulder, but she didn't move. Amelia remained still until the legend left.. in which she immediately hopped off the platform before anything else was summoned. Oddly enough, the sarcastic girl had nothing to say as the Professor excused herself, also being rather shaken by the event.

Speaking of Pokemon, she turned to the kitten still standing on her. "Hey, great job back there." Though her demeanor was calm, the shakiness in her voice revealed her nervousness somewhat. She reached a hand over to the Espurr to gently pet them, though whether it was more to comfort them or herself was hard to tell. "Not every Pokemon can say they stared Zeraora down." She smirked, teasing them a bit, but definitely praising them.

If they were able to do that now, who knew what they'd be capable of once evolved.

"Would you like a nickname? It'd be better than calling you Espurr the whole time." She stared at the kitten as she asked- trying to determine their gender for an appropriate name.

Cora sighed as she jostled the bags in her arms, attempting to keep them from slipping.

Perhaps she could make it on her own.

While the students kept talking, she slipped away, hoping that the teachers would be too distracted by the rest of the crowd to notice. Once out she simply wandered the walkways, eyes searching from place to place, hoping that the dorms were not too far from where she was. Too bad there wasn't a map of this place.

As electricity danced around the legend, Amelia froze, the sparks lighting up Zeraora enough for her to see exactly what they were dealing with.

Her hands stilled. Message received.

As it began to approach, she felt her heart go in her throat. Yet she stood stiffly in place, unmoving, staring back at the electrified creature with both fear and defiance in equal measure.

It was fairly quiet in her cell. No one to speak to, no one to listen. Yet amongst all the silence, the young Jirachi found no peace.

Alya sat curled in the farthest corner, head propped on her knees, bleary eyes gazing downward at the concrete floor. Her mind was no longer clouded by frenzied questions or thoughts of escape like weeks ago. Instead it was fighting the haze of slumber starting once more.

Yet she couldn't let herself sleep. The experiments would start again.

She gasped and jolted awake at the thought.

Snapped out of her exhausted stupor- at least for now- she scoots herself to the other side of the cage. It was colder and damper here, she thought, and would help her stay awake a bit longer.

She fell back asleep within the hour.
