Skyler and Flick eventually reached town. The two had stuck close to the path, not wishing to battle any wild pokemon, especially since she had no means of catching any yet. Sky was suddenly overwhelmed at the amount of people, she had thought going into town early would've made it calmer but it seemed not. With a small breath in, clutching the baskets tightly, she walked into the closest pokemart.

The man at the counter seemed to be uninterested in anything, he was halfheartedly swiping through his pokephone, he wasn't even watching the store. Sky gathered up her courage and made her way up to the counter, placing the two baskets down on it. The man looked up from his pokephone and squinted at Sky and the baskets, a puzzled look dancing across his face.

"I-is there anyway.. that I could..." Sky paused for a moment, the way the man looked at her like she was insane made her uncomfortable, but after a little more mental support she continued, "trade these berries for some pokeballs?"

The man chuckled a bit and muttered a curt "sure". He took the baskets and weighed them and then handed 10 Pokeballs, and one premier ball, to Skyler. She smiled excitedly and thanked the man,
nearly tripping on her way out the door. Flick followed close behind, also excited at the prospect of a new pokemon friend.

The two collected enough berries to fill both baskets, seemingly eating more berries than they collected. Skyler looked over both baskets and then threw a small grin in Flicks direction.

"Hopefully someone will trade us pokeballs for these!" Skyler smiled and picked up both baskets,
grunting as she felt how heavy they actually were. "Come on, towns this way" She smiled and pointed in front of her towards the path that lead into town. Flick looked at her and then bounded off towards town, Sky following close at his heels.

Light shone in from the window of Skyler's small room, hitting her face and causing her to groan and rub her eyes. Without thinking, she stretched out her legs and arms, accidentally knocking her Ivysaur, Flick, off the bed. She heard his low huff and then felt a sharp smack against her face,
Flick had taken it upon himself to give the girl a vine whip, obviously agitated by the rude awakening.

"Shoot... Sorry bud, but that hurt" Skyler muttered, rubbing her cheek lightly with the back of her hand and giving the Ivysaur a glare. He snorted and began walking towards the kitchen.

Sky grabbed a pair of jean shorts and a black tank top and tossed them on quickly. She then tiredly stumbled to her vanity and used the mirror to throw her hair up in a messy bun. After trying a few times to get it right, the girl made her way into the kitchen with Flick.

"Hey Flick go get some baskets, we gotta start trying to sell some berries today" Skyler pointed towards the baskets on the table and Flick made his way over, grabbing two baskets using his vines.

Character's Name: Skyler Clyde
Character's Gender: female
Character's Age: eighteen
Character's Description: Skyler has olive colored skin and long messy brown hair. Her eyes are a soft blue, borderline grey. She keeps her hair in a messy bun or down, rarely bothering to style it. Her outfit of choice is normally a pair of jean shorts and a graphic tank top, although she has started to enjoy wearing stone washed overalls and flannels as well.
Character's History: Skyler was raised in the Kanto region with her two parents whom gave her a male Bulbasaur as soon as she was able to walk. The two bonded and she affectionately called the Pokemon "Flick". Her parents had always been very supportive of her, but Skyler was constantly bullied growing up and longed for a change of pace in life. So as soon as she turned eighteen, she packed up all her things, including Flick, who is now a level 18 Ivysaur, and travelled to the Johto region. She is currently living in a small cabin type home growing berries and saving up money to buy pokeballs as she plans on growing her pokemon team.
Character's Personality: Skyler is extremely anxious and self conscious. She usually assumes people only talk to her to make fun of her in some way. Because of this she can come of cold and uninviting, but once she opens up to you it's a whole different story.
Character's Goal: She mainly wishes to do contests but part of her wants to collect all eight badges as well, just to say that she did it.
Character's Starter: Male Bulbasaur (Currently an Ivysaur)

Skyler eventually made her way into the academy, glancing around at all the other misfit freaks of the school. She casually leaned up against some lockers, none of which were hers, and watched the other kids walk by. She didn't feel like using her own locker, so she just carried her bookbag with her to her first class and sat at the desk way in the back. She brought out a notebook and a pen and put them on her desk. She figured she might as well make the teacher think she would be a good student, even though she knew this notebook would be filled with nothing by the end of the school year.

Skyler climbed out of the car, bookbag slung barely over her shoulder. She whined a bit, pulling the little invitation out of her pocket and stared at the large school looking building only a few feet away from her. She quickly thought through ways she could get out of going to the academy. 'Maybe if I just run off no one will notice' or 'if I go home I can hide in the basement for the rest of the school year'. She sighed loudly and wasted some more time by throwing her hair up in a bun and shuffling through her almost empty bookbag as if searching for something.

Ability: Can shapeshift into a jaguar, currently has little control over when it happens and can often lose her human morals when in her animal form. She's working hard to fix this though
