"Hello, Nanami," Wither greeting, a small smile on her face. She walked closer to the cookie shelves, Void looking up at the stranger in confusion. "Greetings," he said politely, his head cocked slightly.

Evie had long since given Ivy's flashlight back, but she could see the crudely scratched out mark of the Lux on his hand. She took his still gaze as a challenge and still hadn't taken her bored and unrevealing expression off of him. Her face was the worst place to look when reading her, and she knew it. She made sure of it, in fact. One day she decided that she wouldn't show her emotions through body language, and she hadn't since.
Evie was a bit fed up with the conversation; she wanted more than anything to shoot Dexter in the head, if not for Elli. It wasn't for the sake of killing Dexter (well, he also reminded her of someone she didn't like)--Elli's innocent, silent pleading had caught her off guard and made her hesitate. She had promised herself to never to do that again, yet here she was.
"Are you Nova or neutral?" Elli asked.

"It was a pact agreement among the Novas and the Lux. They're too cowardice to fight each other full power, so they've assigned representatives to fight for them instead. To put it simply, they've selected underaged, angsty teens to settle the future of our continent," Evie replied, pushing her glasses up her nose a bit. She still held her gun tightly in her hand but hadn't raised it back up to Dexter's head.

"Well, again, it's a living habitat meant mostly for soldiers," Wither said, entering the mess hall, "there's definitely an archery range somewhere."
"It's nicer than the one we have here. I've checked," Void confirmed, flicking his tail.

"It's really not too much of a hassle," Allium replied, smiling at Crystal briefly before she went off to follow Matthew.

"They're trying to stop it," Elli said when Evie wouldn't reply. Her amber eyes were narrowed and she looked at Dexter with just a tinge of menace. "They're getting desperate and so we're the ones to finally end it." He ruffled his hair a bit nervously.

Allium noticed this and scooped the last of her breakfast into her mouth, swallowed, and set the utensils on her plate. "Let's go, then?" She said, standing up to put her plate in the sink. Allium hesitated before taking Matthew's plate. She walked over to the sink and turned on the tap, bending the water so that it held in a large floating circle. She held it under the soap dispenser and pumped it, swirling the orb of water ever so slightly. She then dropped the plates in it and swirled it a bit more, letting the soapy water drain out. She turned the tap on again and rinsed the plates by hand, setting them on the drying rack and whirling around to face Matthew again.

Elli stared at the stranger with a brooding green gaze, the gears of his mind running rapidly. He's not part of the game. He noticed the slight motion that Evie made and jumped to put a hand on her wrist, forcing it down. She scowled at him.
"What was that for?" Evie hissed through gritted teeth.
"It's an unjustified kill," Elli repeated, his voice calm.
"Clearly he's not in the right state of mind, and he said he's not going to fight back--"
"Which means we're not supposed to kill him." Her eyes narrowed at him but she obliged. She sighed and crossed her arms, now turning her attention to Dexter. "How long you been here?" She asked, her expression almost bored.

Evie shined the flashlight to the end of the cave, noticing the barrier of boulders around it. She was now confident that they were not alone, but the only question that remained was that if they wanted to see. She stepped out of the narrow parts of the cave, glancing over at Elli as he stepped next to her. He had noticed the boulders and drawn the same conclusion as her. He gripped his sword tightly in front of him and Evie silently noticed the strangeness of his knuckles; it was as if some sort of brass contraption had been built into them.
"Y-you realize that you could be walking into a trap?" He mumbled as she nodded and silently crept towards the boulders, climbing on top of them and peering down. She had flicked off the flashlight and could easily see a short distance in front of her, glaring down at the teen with stern amber eyes. She aimed her gun at his head from above, about to fire as Elli flanked her. He gave her a bold, powerful look that stopped her from making the kill.
"That'd be an unjustified kill," he mumbled nervously, his eyes flitting to the pistol.

The boy raised a condescending eyebrow, a challenging one, and shifted his footing ever so slightly so that his foot landed on her broken wrist. Crysia's limp body stirred but it seemed to have no effect on him. "She has a lot of buried regrets," he murmured, his head cocking to the side almost innocently.

"There are cannons," Wither suggested. They had made sure to take the nicest airship possible; the airship was one used as a portable living habitat for the soldiers, and a nice one too. The demons had luxuries that the rebels couldn't afford and Wither had spitefully taken advantage of this. "It'll take a bit of adapting but I think it'll turn out as a good decision in the long run."

(bleh fine)
Robin awoke to the soft melodies of the birds that perched in the nearby trees. He rose, slowly, to a slumped sitting position and looked around the brittle room; it was distastefully dark and his eyes refused to adjust. Robin had always worked better in the light, but he refrained from turning the lamp on for Skye's sake. Robin had found himself unable to get a good amount of sleep, even though he had always been an early bird. He looked over his shoulder at Skye, who had rolled over to take up the space of the entire bed, and walked to the living room in hopes to find somebody that was awake.

"Hey, Evie?" Elli murmured softly, trying to reason with her. "I don't think this is the best idea. Nobody seems to be home anyways... we can find a better shelter elsewhere. Y-you saw the body, didn't you?"
A very small voice in her head, one that had been drowned out by years of hardship and tragedy, took Elli's side. Evie was fully aware of how reckless her decisions were but curiosity had overtaken her--it was a childish trait of hers that often led to trouble. The opening of the cave was rather narrow and didn't have any room for hiding, so Evie made sure that she was the first one to enter. If anyone was going to die because of her decisions, it would be her.
But you have something to live for now, Evie thought as she held her hand out behind her, not wanting to break her gaze. If something was heading her way, she was ready to dodge it. "Ivy, can you hand me your flashlight for a second?" Evie mumbled, scanning around.

The boy only smiled a bit wider, stepping right in front of Crysia so that his heels touched her broken wrist. He flung two blades, one on the left side of her and one on the right, much faster and cleaner than before, still analyzing.

"You're a bit weird," Fallow murmured, taking his hand and wrapping it in hers. She sunk her head into the softness of the pillow and closed her eyes, saying nothing.

While Oliver was keeping a tight watch, Evie searched the body for weapons. There were none. Her amber eyes flickered to the cave in interest; at this point, curiosity had taken over for the worst. Somebody clearly lives here. Perhaps it was an attack to protect their territory? She bit her lip in thought. Evie couldn't tell exactly how skilled the stranger was--it was a brutal, messy kill that anyone could perform with the right equipment. They could be strong enough to beat the Lux teen but it could've been an ambush. A novice could definitely ambush someone easily... and we're all thrown off guard because of the sudden events. It's highly unlikely that their guards would be up before tomorrow.
Evie turned over to Oliver and put a hand on his shoulder, standing on her tiptoes so that she could actually reach his ear. "I'm going in," she muttered, knowing that she would be the first to be attacked, "can you cover me?" Evie, instead of waiting for a reply, drew closer to the cave with her pistol ready for attack.

Elli turned to Ivy with a pained look. "We should follow her," he said, tugging her lightly as he stepped over the bushes. He did his best to keep his gaze away from the body and gulped as he stepped around it, his face paling immediately. Elli slipped his hand out of Ivy's to hold his sword in a ready position as he followed Evie into the cave.

"O-oh," Fallow thought, only a little bit hurt, "that's alright, I guess. Are you sure you don't want me to sleep on the floor?" She asked although it was more of an insist than it was an offer.

Evie nodded thoughtfully, looking around and holding her weapon ready for fire as Oliver inspected the body. He seemed to be a bit disgusted by the graphic kill and she figured that it would've been better if she were the one to check it, but she didn't do anything to stop him. "Which means that this cave is already occupied by a human... but the government made sure that nobody would step out of the rules," she growled, wanting to scream out in frustration. The intensity and confusion of the situation were getting to her and she didn't like it--the last thing she wanted was to be ambushed before the game even started, but it seemed like they were heading down that road.
"Hey, you two might want to ready your weapons. We don't know where they could be at," she said, noticing that Elli was still resting his sword on his shoulder. She glanced skyward, scanning the trees for any possible signs of life. Is there more than one?

He looked down at Crysia and frowned, spinning the blade even faster. The boy nudged her hand with his foot. "Your friend here doesn't have a very pleasant backstory. It makes me wonder about yours." He turned to face her, flinging his blade as if it slipped from his hand. It was a messy fling and could've been quicker. His eyes seemed to be testing, analyzing her every hitch and move.
