She blinked sharply. "Look, Lucifer, Scarlet and I... it's our job. I think I'm a bit more devoted to it than her, but it's still our job. It's dangerous and that's all part of it and I'm incredibly sorry that you have to deal with that." Crysia bit her lip, choking back the words that she wanted to say. "And I'm not made of steel, y'know. I get hurt sometimes and so does Scarlet... although I'm a bit less willing to take Rain's painkillers, hence the alcohol. They taste terrible."

"Are you going to go talk to him about it?" Celestial asked, to which Crysia took another sip of her bottle reluctantly. She stood to go walk over to Lucifer, pulling at her skirts as she took a seat next to him and resting her hand on her knee laxly. No. Now's a bad time.
Crysia looked over at him, studied his face, and looked back at the sky. "What's up?" She asked although she had a good idea of what was going on already.

Rain stopped his conversation with Crysia when he realized that Scarlet was crying. He quickly took a vial and crushed a small berry that turned into dust, swirling it rapidly. He sat next to Scarlet--Crysia had moved--and offered her the vial. "Painkiller," he mumbled, fitting it into her palm and briefly explained the side effects. Crysia watched silently; she knew how Rain's painkillers were. They were incredibly efficient, but they tasted terrible and would sometimes have temporary effects on the user's mood and state of mind.

"Well, you can't blame him. It's really not that much of a private place," she replied, kissing him lightly on the lips. She paused before breaking free, swimming a little bit away from him. "He did ruin the moment a bit, though." Allium sighed and looked towards the top of the pool, floating back to the surface so that she stood on the water.
"It's been a while. It's about time we get out, yeah? Plus we get to see Crystal and Adriane's reactions," she said happily, smiling. Allium drained herself of water and simply let it plop back into the pool in a large bubble, bouncing a bit on her feet as she walked across the surface to the edge.

"Oh, yeah. He was real friendly to that Lux representative over there. Even spared half of his limbs! If that's not friendly, I don't know what is," Evie huffed sarcastically, crossing her arms closer to her chest. Elli sighed and rubbed his face in his hands, turning to Evie.
"Look, Evie. We took a chance on you two and it worked out for the most part. Hopefully for the best. We want something from Dexter and he wants something from us--that's the barrier that holds us from trying to murder each other. It's worth a shot, don't you think? If we're going to survive, we need shelter. And it's right in front of us," Elli said, staring her straight in the eye. She hesitated and took a minute to take in what he was saying. "It's two against one, anyway. If you don't want to stay you can go off on your own," he added.
Elli turned around to Ivy, running a hand through his hair. "Hey," he mumbled, "you're gonna get to. We're going to get through this and then we're going to go home. And it'll be peaceful and happy for once. We'll have to deal with some stuff along the way, but I promise you that I'll get you home. On my life." He offered her a small, promising smile.

"Thanks!" She said, her icy blue eyes sparkling a bit. Venom escaped from her lap and trotted out of the back door, which made a small rattle as it closed itself. Robin leaned on the counter.

"It was merely a suggestion, Magnolia," Wither replied happily, although the lunch crowd did make her a bit uncomfortable. She wouldn't admit to it. Void sat and watched the swarms of demons and angels walk by as if conflicted by the sudden amount of people. Wither assumed that he had been in the demon forests for quite some time and she felt a pang of what was almost sadness for her animal companion. She knew how rough the forests were, especially after a long period of time.

Crysia, for once, said nothing--she only looked at the ground and hugged her arms closer to her chest. She took a larger gulp of the beer, much to her cousin's dismay, and shrugged him off. Celestial stood on the exposed roots of the tree near them, having a mental conversation with her. "Do you remember what happened the last time you let things go unsaid, Crysia?" Her raven chided.
The vampiress suppressed a flinch and took another sip. Yeah. Yeah, alright. I'll talk to him. I don't see the point, though. I'm probably just going to restate things that are already known.
"And if they aren't known?"
She rolled her eyes and turned to face Rain.

"What do you think?" Elli asked softly once they were out of earshot. Evie holstered her gun under her skirt and crossed her arms, her face stern. "I honestly think we should kill him and be done with it," she admitted through clenched teeth. Elli frowned. "It's worth a shot, isn't it? He wants something from us, so he's clearly not gonna kill--"
"It could be a trap. He's clearly insane and I doubt that tricking a few teens is out of his comfort zone. It probably makes it even worse that some of us are Lux," she interrupted, her eyes narrowing skeptically.
