Species: Mermaid (subspecies: Nixie)

Power: Hydrokinesis, the pressure of the ocean gave mer-people thicker skin, a stronger skeletal structure, and boosted strength.

Personality: Hopeful, sometimes a bit introverted though, if you bother him when he wants to be alone he can be a little hard to deal with

Appearance: a bit short, blue skin, green eyes, red hair, gills, two legs

History: Nixies and mermaids are split by a class structure in underwater cities, Mer-people on top, Nixies on bottom. The reigning Matriarch was forbidden to have children, as raising them would take away from her responsibilities. When she did not accept this, she decided to go ahead and adopt. This was not explicitly illegal, so the law was unable to do much about it. She ended up adopting Moby when he was about seven, but since he was a nixie there was a bit of backlash. Any time he tried to go out to one of the more upscale parts of town he got a few stares, or at worst insults hurled at him. This caused him to want to stay inside more and more.

Other: The difference between Nixies and Merpeople is that Nixies have legs, are blue, can breath on land, have minor hydrokinesis. Merpeople are more athletic, have more powerful hydrokinesis, higher mental capacity, longer life spans, and telepathy.
