Corrie had fallen asleep next to James on one of the couches in headquarters, occasionally giving small snores. James let her doze. His little sister must have been extremely tired, all things considered. They were alone together, though James had seen Oliver some ways off a few moments before.

James remembered how he had been offered a spot in the Pretty Ones Group. He had rejected them because Corrie hadn't been invited, and he had no intention of leaving his little sister to fend for herself. He knew that if Corrie had been offered a group she would have done the same thing.

Family needed to stick together after all.

	Okay, now she felt extremely guilty. Corrie shook her head. "I was kidding Oliver! You don't have to do that for me." In the back of her mind the girl wondered how it was possible for someone to be so terrible at reading other people. James entered the office, looking around. There were Creaturas of all shapes, sizes and colors. There was a woman there, with what looked like a deer at her side. She gave him a tired smile. "Oh good, you're finally here. Now the choosing can take place." Before he could ask, she continued. "Your sister already left."

All his questions had been answered. James shuffled over to one of the chairs and sat down, hands neatly clasped together on his lap. He took a moment to silently admire all the Creaturas. They were all beautiful in different ways.

Minutes passed. Just before James got worried, fearing he wouldn't be chosen and there was some mistake, a Creatura approached him. It looked like a wolf, but her fur was dotted with stars, a constellation to be exact. It looked very elegant.

The Creatura sat next to him. James was tempted to say something, but refrained. It might be considered rude. Instead he kept his gaze forward and tried his best not to stare.

Finally the Creatura spoke. What is your name human?

James started in shock, before answering. "James." After a beat of silence, he continued. "What's yours?"

Asteria is a gentle soul, who despises fighting and prefers to remain neutral. As one of the constellations, she is picky in choosing her partner. She looks for calmness first and foremost, and does not enjoy the company of extroverts. She can tolerate them and might be able to strike up a friendship, but ultimately her partner is to be calm.
Creatura Ability: Asteria can soothe negative emotions for a few minutes. This may sound harmless, but if she's really serious she's capable of turning enemies into temporary allies.

	After Nyx and Magi left alongside someone, Corrie was more or less left alone with Azura. The Phoenix was untangling the stubborn knots in her hair, occasionally giving a hum. Apparently preening was stress relieving for the Creatura. [Read more]

Corrie blinked in confusion, opened her mouth to say something, but finally decided she was better off not knowing. She wasn't sure if the Wendigo meant eating humans literally or if it was just a word of speech, and the Creatura didn't actually feed on a human, but rather on their blood or something, like a vampire. Yeah, she was going with that.

Hearing Magi's words, Azura relaxed slightly, knowing the Wendigo wasn't a threat. Her partner didn't seem repulsed, but rather surprised instead. The Phoenix flew over and perched beside Corrie, starting to preen the teen's hair again. It was really messy, as Corrie had forgotten to brush her hair that day.

Azura gave Nyx what she hoped was a reassuring smile, before speaking for the first time. I am quite fine, thank you for worrying Miss Nyx. The Wendigo was correct in her hunch. Azura could only hope that meant the other Creatura would be no threat.

Meanwhile, Corrie looked at Magi curiously. "What does a Wendigo eat anyway?" She asked. She felt like she had heard the name Wendigo before, but wasn't quite sure where.

Azura simply gave Magi a warning glare. She knew just how dangerous the other Creatura could be, and if the Wendigo put one toe out of line the Phoenix would be quick to drag Corrie somewhere safe.

Said girl remained blissfully oblivious of her partner's thoughts. "Really?" She asked Magi, feeling a bit flustered at those words, and touched that Azura chose her out of all people. "What Creatura are you miss, if you don't mind me asking?"

After the initial shock had worn off Corrie had gotten more animated, talking to Azura. She told the Phoenix about her childhood, her interests, pretty much everything under the sun. Through the Creatura never really replied, save for the occasional hum of agreement, Azura didn't seem to mind her partner's insistent chatter at all.

Corrie didn't know where to go next, so she decided to head to the library. She had always loved reading, and she wanted to know more about the school. The nature of her partner gave her pause though. "If we go to the library, would you acidentally burn the books?"

Azura gave her a look, as if the very idea was silly. Corrie gave a sheepish smile in reply, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Having found the library, Corrie sat next to another girl (Nyx) reading Hansel and Gretel, "The Life and Times of Creatura" in her hands.. Azura stared at said girl unblinkingly. The Phoenix could sense that the girl had been in contact with something dangerous, though she didn't know exactly what it was. (Wendigo)

Corrie had came in a bit late, and rushed to the office immediately. The woman there, with a small deer looking animal she thought was one of those Creatura, looked up. "Oh, you're here. Good. You can get started with the Choosing."

Corrie had no idea what the Choosing actually entailed, so she just said in one of the chairs and took a look around. There was a lot of different Creaturas. There was what looked like a king cobra, and... Was that a suit of armor? It was strange, but amazing at the same time.

The one that caught her eye was a huge, Blue Phoenix. It was perched on the rafters, and she had nearly missed it, but the feathers (flames?) were bright enough to catch her attention. The Creatura was looking her over, and Corrie tried not to squirm uncomfortably.

The Phoenix apparently liked what it saw, because it flew down and landed next to her, and began preening her hair. Corrie had almost flinched away from the flaming bird, but relaxed when she realized the feathers weren't actually burning her.

My name is Azura. The Phoenix stated, before Corrie could even ask. I can heal people with my flames, or burn them. What is your name little one?

"Corrie." Corrie answered, not sure what else to say. "Nice to meet you Azura."

Creatura Personality: Azura is almost Corrie's polar opposite, being calm, collected and mature. The Phoenix does not trust easily, and is prone to judging Corrie's friends and forbidding the teen from befriending people she deems "evil". However, Azura shares the same loyal streak Corrie has.
Creatura Ability: Azura can heal people with her flames, or burn them. It really depends on how she wants to use it, whether for healing or attacking.
