Ylisse then smiled softly, and turned one hand towards Myrrith.

”This is Myrrith. Quite a charming young man, yes, but he has proven that he’s capable of handling dire situations. I chose him because he pursued to become what he wanted, and not what others wanted to shape him into. That’s a trait I respect.”

Myrrith thought for a second and realization got into his head.

”Ylisse, have you chosen me because I refused to become a Knight? Is that your reason?”

”Almost quite. You refused to become a Knight and therefore pursued to become a free man with a normal life, without a conflict and at peace. You wanted to be yourself. That is my reason.”

Ylisse walked on the water until she was at the middle of the lake. She turned to Myrrith, and soon enough a whirlpool formed underneath her. The water seemed to make an empty soace to where she was standing and it expanded, untile there was a hole in the middle of the lake.

”Myrrith, you’ll have to jump down, and then you shall enter the underground cave of ice. You must be prepared.”

Myrrith was on his way to the Lake with Ylisse at his side. She was still in her human form, for whatever reasons she had. Soon enough they arrive at the lake, and Ylisse keeps walking until her feet are an inch away from the water.

”Such a beautiful lake, just like what you would expect from Loceon. Well now, Myrrith?

She turned to him.

”Are you ready?”

Once she asked, Myrrith thiught for a second, and then nodded a yes.

”I am ready for whatever is ahead, Ylisse.”

”There are hidden descendants scattered around, but Myrrith will be its next wielder. I am but a spirit, so I cannot touch it.”

”I have to. The hidden cave is underwater thanks to a protective spell.”

Her eyes looked at the other spirit.

”Quite a while indeed. You’re still looking like a mighty warrior I see.”

”Wait, what? I haven’t heard such thing about Fimbulventr, not even in books!”

”Just like me, Fimbulventr is selective of its wielders. Except that the tome comes with a price. Fimbulventr is a dangerous tome on its own.”

Ylisse used her wisps and made a small mirror illusion of Fimbilventr floating in her hands.

”Consider it as a curse, one made by its creator to ensure that it doesn’t fall by the wrong hands.”

”Even if we do have the upper hand, I believe that we should gear up properly. Emmit is pure evil, he might as well pull a trick from his sleeve and finish us off in one swing. I have learned a lot from all these years... Those cold years.”

Ylisse began to remember all of what happened in her past. She frowned, then looked at the far horizon.

We musn’t be overconfident. Not one bit.

”Then Ylisse, will you be able to lead me and everyone else to the lake? Please, I do not want to be so demanding, but if we can get rid of Emmit, forever, we can save the entire world of a destructive calamity.”

”We must not let Emmit take over the lands. It would mean the end of many lives. A calamity that seeks power and to sow the seeds of destruction.”

”We should not waste time. This is where time truly is gold. But not all of us have our strongest weapon. If I were to fight such force, I would need Fimbulventr, the great Tome of ice. That tome can sustain even the hottest flame that could turn towns into cinders.”

Ylisse smiled a little and then looked around, the wisps surrounding her floating peacefully.

”Loceon is a beautiful land. Its people have been treating me well. However, not many were anle to forge a strong bond with me. I was never so open to anyone, but they still showed respect towards me.”

Myrrith watched the beautiful spirit in amazement. He has only seen it in books, but never in person. Realizing what was going on, he quickly bowed in respect.

”Spirit of Loceon, Ylisse, it is an honor that you have chosen me, let alone that I get to see you in this form in person. Not even the books could capture your true beauty...”

Ylisse then looked at Myrrith.

”No need to bow, Myrrith. You have earned the privilege, for you have proven how skilled you are in various things. Not everyone is like you.”

He felt a little hesitant after being pushed, but he sighed and stood straight nonetheless.

”Hello, my name is Myrrith Itholor. I am skilled with a tome and the arts of the sword. As you all may know now, I am Loceon’s Chosen. In this stone, Ylisse resides within.”

The blue stone slowly lifted itself up from Myrrith’s hand, glowing brightly as a voice emitted from it.

”Chosen ones... It is nice to see you once more.”

The stone shone in a bright light, and after the flash, a beautiful woman stood in front of them. She had white hair and blank eyes, and very pale skin. Her dress was styled like a sort of yukata, with long sleeved that barely touched the ground, a skirt that had a very long tail that could be dragged around and was short on the front, showing her bare legs from knees to feet. Her gaze looked at everyone, and her presence was cold to the skin.

”It has been so long since I have seen you all spirits. So many years... They felt like centuries.”

Myrrith was surprised to hear that he was the chosen one of Loceon. His eyes looked down at the stone, it felt cold, the power of the spirit was strong as ever. He then looked back up at Eretiv, amazed at what was happening.

”Ylisse chose me...? Wait, so I am also to wander the lands and defeat Emmit? Never have I thought that this would happen! Am I truly prepared for such a task...?”

The stone in his hand glowed bright, as if calling for Myrrith.

	The man in white watches everything. He was amazed to see that right before him, there were the spirits that he has seen in books and scrolls. Not only that, but also the chosen of the lands were talking to each other. Myrrith soon understood that this meant a huge deal for his life. ”Eretiv, all of the chosen and the spirits are here.
