	I don't even bother playing the treasure chests unless a Dream World Shop task asks for it. Even if I lose my game tokens, at least I get some dream points out of it. My approach may be a better way to handle it instead of calling it a scam; make it a situation where you don't lose either way. [Read more]

I've slowly been withdrawing myself from furry fandom spaces. If you're relatively active on the furry side of Twitter, you're probably already aware of the biggest things that have been happening. Unfortunately, due to this site's rules I can't elaborate on some of the incidents if you don't already know because there's no way to give a run-down that is appropriate for all ages when it's anything but. The only thing I might be able to say is, some furries on Twitter have been sending 18+ content to a user that has publicly stated they could be a minor. Granted this person has been trolling furries, but that still doesn't excuse sending unsolicited adults-only content to anyone, especially somebody that could be underage. In the U.S, that's a federal crime. And this isn't the first time it's happened. Some grown adults with 18+ only accounts launched a harassment campaign against someone that is underage and people took to the minor's DMs to send things that are illegal to send underage people.

I feel a mix of emotions towards furries right now: disgust, anger, disappointment, and a twinge of sadness. I'm still keeping my fursonas and my fursuits, furry art is a pretty major creative outlet for me and has been for years. I just have no desire to interact in furry fandom spaces anymore outside of keeping up with furs I've already met, posting my art, and attending conventions. And it isn't getting involved in fandom "politics" or "drama". The things that have been happening lately are not and never should be considered political issues or mere gossip. The things that have been happening over the past few years are very serious, serious enough to warrant police investigations and a few furries have been arrested. I'm aware of two furs in the slammer right now because of what's been going on. It's some pretty heavy-hitting stuff and I really don't want to keep contact with anyone that thinks of the things those two are in prison for as "drama".

Please do not try to convince me to return to furry spaces. The things that have been occurring are sickening, and how many people defend the popular kids when they get called out for being horrible is probably what disgusts me even more. All groups have their bad eggs, they get judged for how they address them. In the case of furries, they do an awful job condemning deplorable behavior and making sure dangerous individuals don't feel welcome.

Fun CPR fact: A defibrillator will not bring someone back from asystole(heart stopped beating). Defibrillators are meant to try and fix an abnormal heart rhythm, usually V-tach(ventricular tachycardia) or V-fib(ventricular fibrillation). This is because when the heart stops beating, there are no electrical impulses in the heart.

Obligatory safety notice: Never use an AED on yourself. Always loudly say "clear" before you press the shock button and make sure nobody is touching the victim. Never use an AED on somebody submerged in water. Most importantly: if the scene is unsafe, do not endanger yourself to save another person. Use common sense and call your country's emergency number if there is danger to your life or another person's.

I know this thread is 3 months dead but I'm gonna chime in as a multiple-year user of both sites.

I used to be a hardcore PF player a few years ago. I took a good amount of art commissions over there. I was pretty close to hitting arceus rank before I stopped playing. I partially stopped out of lack of interest, but another reason I left is because I saw things I didn't like during my time there. Before you continue reading this, know that I am not trying to "talk smack" about PF. These are observations I made by playing and being involved in the community for years.

Tournament pokemon and the shiny hunting system used to be pretty paywalled a few years ago. I don't know if the tournament pokemon situation changed at all, but shiny hunting was made much more fair to free-to-play users. I don't feel it's necessary to go into detail on how since that was changed a while ago. I will point out that the discussion surrounding fixing the tournament system got a little heated, and that thread is where I saw the most attitude from the site owner.

As far as staff goes, I can't speak too much on that as I tried not to interact with them unless I needed to. That was partially because of what I've seen about the staff. All the problems I personally saw tended to be isolated to the suggestions forum, but there are others that have seen much more nastiness than I did.

As far as the community, it was a mixed bag. Some were nice, others not so much; just like any community. The biggest problems I had with people were in the suggestions forum. The suggestions are where you found out what some people were really like.

I've never had a negative experience on PH yet, never noticed anything pay-to-win yet either. I can't speak about the community here since I haven't really interacted that much during my time tbh. Nobody that has commissioned me for art here in the past has given me any problems. Never had a bad encounter with someone yet, and I hope it stays that way.
