“Huh. I’m presuming they too are here due to the closed routes.”

He slowly took out four more Pokéballs and threw them onto the ground besides him, with his Minior, Porygon, Porygon Z and Omanyte appearing from them.

“How about you four wait at the table whilst I get you all some snacks? Me and Omanyte will stay here. He seems to be slightly frightened of the crowd.”

He picked up his Omanyte and held them, giving them a reassuring smile.

Glitch and Star glanced at each other with intrigued expressions.

“Rescue mission? Certainly sounds interesting, and it seems to have piqued your interest too, Starfall. I suppose we should assist. I mean, we certainly don’t have anything to do other than attempting to teach Hoshi how not to explode every time they get frightened.”

He paused, catching Star’s impatient gaze. Glitch’s eyes shifted to a light blue shade as he glanced over at the group, moving closer to hopefully have his speech heard over the loud chatter.

“Uh, me and Star would love to attempt assisting in any way we can…!”

He sighed, slowly turning his gaze to Araysh. A shiver sent itself down his spine, seemingly… warning him.

His starry pupils slowly shifted to a crimson red. He shivered again, getting the feeling that he shouldn’t complete his speech.

Star hopped off the table and stood by Glitch, glancing up at him. The two slowly walked towards the counter, reminiscing about the past events.

“It’s… rather irritating, isn’t it? Having all of the paths sealed off with barriers and not even having one ounce of my powers to teleport over them. Or I could’ve just… been at that resort. You and Guritchi wanted to go, remember?”

The Lopunny nodded in response.

“If all of this didn’t happen, I wouldn’t even be here. I’d just be… sitting at home with X, like good times.”

He sighed, glancing at his bandaged hand.

“Like… good times…

I guess we should stop reminiscing. We’ve got a lot ahead of us, I presume.”

Eventually, the two reached the counter.

Star tilted their head, making a trilling noise. Glitch sighed and glanced over at the desk where the Absol was sitting.

“I… guess I could get a drink. It’s been at least 6 hours, hasn’t it? What do you and the others want…?”

The Lopunny made a chorus of chirps and trills in response. Glitch, not understanding a word, could only presume they had asked for a glass of water.

Glitch slowly walked past the Absol and human, sitting down at a table and slowly taking out a Pokéball from his pocket. He faintly smiled upon remembering what his friend had said was occurring at the resort.

“Hah. Gauntlets. Sounds ridiculous if you ask me, right Star?”

A Lopunny emerged from the Pokéball and glanced at Glitch, giving him a slight nod of their head. He faintly smiled and sighed, leaning on his chair a little.

“They must be exhausted, and yet, they’re supposed to be on holiday there. Ahhaha.”

After hours upon hours of walking, Glitch stood before the tavern, gazing at the sign. Hesitantly, he slowly opened the door and stepped inside.

He seemed slightly exhausted, what with walking for a few hours around the island, attempting to find a way behind the barriers. He had also heard of a resort in a faraway realm, but chose not to go there mainly because their friend reported some issues with gauntlets.
