Play? Now that was a word he hadn't heard in years. "Of course, young one." A small smile danced on Reshen's lips. "What games shall we play? Hide and seek? Ring around the rosy?" He heard Aleksandr's announcement. "Ah, why don't we play in the marketplace? That seems a more interesting background than this house, correct?"

When Emmie tapped the lantern, it turned a vibrant blue almost as if the bugs inside were shocked. Small things inside hit the glass. "Well, if you want one of your own, you'd have to go hunting for these pesky things." He shook the lantern vigorously and the light turned back to a strawberry lemonade shade. "It's not very fun, young one." Reshen smiled.

"This man is Aleksandr." Reshen pointed, releasing the book and letting it flutter away angrily. "Hm? Why, little youth, I am the Storyteller. Greetings." He waved his free hand to Emmie, holding up the lantern. "This one? It's a very pretty lantern, full of very naughty bugs." The lantern emitted a darker crimson light in response and he tapped it twice.

Reshen smiled at the question. Even after all the worlds he'd hopped through, he still remembered his the fondest. Who wouldn't? "My world is... a wonderful one, Crow-2. Where the folk speak in riddles and try to turn you into groves day by day." Hm. Now that he said it, it didn't sound too lovely. The book reacted to Reshen's words, flipping to the front of its pages. To the first chapter. He reached forward and snapped it shut (with one hand, too) before Crow-2 could glimpse anything inside.

"Yes. Supposedly." The book floated in front of Crow-2's face, showing him the pages that detailed what was going on, albeit with the format of a fairytale. There was even a picture of Aleksandr and the house colored in sepia and brown tones. "Fret not. I don't believe there're any dangers around. You're safe in this man's realm." Reshen pointed to Aleksandr.

Reshen grunted a bit at Aleksandr's sudden appearance, leaning his hooded head away from his arm. "Careful there, those gods might hear you and strike you down." Praise the shadows, I'll never get used to this! His tome fluttered open and shut in surprise. Feathers and leaves fell out onto the floor.

"Oh... I'm afraid you're no long in Eastdime, Crow-2. You're in- well, I'm not sure where you are now." Reshen tapped his chin with his free hand. "But you certainly are not home right now. This is a different world." Reshen shrugged slightly, wanting to say more but refusing to give away anything else. "And no need to call me that, young one. You may call me Storyteller."

His book flipped open again. Crow-2 approaches the little girl. "Oh!" Reshen turned and waved at Crow-2. "Greetings, folk of Crow. How may I assist you?" Hm, he hadn't seen anyone wearing a mask like that in... well, very long time. That was when they were using leeches as medical equipment. Did they stop? Leeches worked very well.

"Mhhm...?" Reshen looked through the book as he washed his dishes. What an interesting cast. None seemed to relate to the other in any way or form. He finished and wiped his hands on the poncho. The book shut and fluttered after him as he began to explore the house more. If the stories won't come to you, all you have to do is find them. A good classic hide and seek. The impish bugs beat against the lantern again and he shook it to make them stop. "Right, you. What's going on? Not a fan of your new-" He bumped into Emie, stumbling back. "Oh, dear! Apologies, girl. You're... Emmie? Correct?"

A mess of words began pouring out onto the book's pages, filling one up and already starting on another. More names. Emmie, Leanne, Misha, Crow-2. Reshen waved his fingers again in attempt to calm down the book. In response, it flipped over another page and slapped him slightly in the face. "No reason to trouble me." He muttered, snapping it shut and heading to the kitchen. There were more people here now. He quickly grabbed his lantern off the table and leaned against the counter, sipping the rest of his tea.

"Lovely meeting you too!" Reshen waved as Evan went. Names, names. Eagerly giving them out like spores from a fern. Words appeared in his book, writing about the current events, though leaving out his own presence. "Evan, Aleksandr, Murphy... hm. Peculiar names." He set the lantern down on the table and read through the new sentences.

Reshen blinked, mouth slightly agape. His mind raced, attempting to classify what the man could be. Perhaps something vapor related? No, they didn't... erm, move like that. Perhaps he was teleporting a hundred times in a beat. Yes, possibly that. As he poured the tea, his book flipped to the newest chapter. There was a string of words there now.

In a house away from many others, a few figures had woken up. The owner of the world, Aleksandr, greeted everyone with some cheerful words.

"Finally," Reshen sipped, glancing outside the window at the town. Hmmm... an illusion spell? Well, now he knew the man's name. And his book seemed to be working again. Certainly this trip won't last too long.

Reshen's eyes widened under the hood. They wouldn't see him surprised but his pressed lips surely gave it away. How'd this man know his... right, right. What was it called again? Territory? Everything he owns he knows? The ancient rules gave him a headache. He dropped some leaves into the pot, watching the liquid turn to murky brown then a soft purple. "Good morning. Would you like some tea? Curse free, don't worry."

"Good morning, folks." Reshen said to the two in the kitchen, passing by Aleksandr with a small smile. "Hello to you..." The tome opened to the blank page again and he pinched his lips together. Of course, nothing on the page, still. "Hello to you." He simply nodded and started to make some tea. He thought for a few moments, remembering how to use what folks these days called 'stove', before putting a small pot of water on top. It worked better than bonfires, certainly, but he'd never get used to it.

Reshen opened his eyes slowly. He stared at the house ceiling for a few beats. Right, where was he again? He sat up, glancing to the fluttering book beside him. He waved his fingers and the pages turned on its own, flipping past the finished chapters to the newest one...

Which was none... The pages were empty, not even a title scribbled on top. Reshen sighed and rubbed his eyes. Two days gone by in this peculiar house, and no words had appeared. Oh well, what do they say again? Thrice was the charm? He pulled the hood of his poncho as he stood up. "Good morning." Reshen tapped his lantern. Instantly it began to glow as his captives flew awake, tapping against the glass walls and obviously hurling some miniscule insults. He chuckled at the thought and picked it up, heading towards the kitchen. The Leather Tome floated after him.

Character Name: Reshen De Voe - The Storyteller
Age: Looks 27, is over at least 100.
Height: 6" Ft / 1.8 m

Description: A lanky figure wearing a hooded poncho. The poncho itself is greyish-blue in color. A triangle pattern borders its edges. Underneath, he wears a mellow blue collared shirt cinched at the waist with a black belt. Leather loafers gleam in the light, primly polished. Random bangles made of different metals jingle at his wrists. His human skin is a warm beige. Onyx eyes twinkle under his lengthy raven hair. A leather tome floats around him with a mind of its own. There is a black creature wearing a deer skull on the cover. He carries around a lantern full of glowing bugs that emit a rosy light. Sometimes the bugs look... human? That's not right... they're just bugs after all...

Personality:
He doesn't like revealing information about himself. After all, revealing too much lets others puppet you around like their own little toy. He knows first hand how that feels. He tries to keep himself mysterious but can't resist a good laugh from time to time. Greatly enjoys cheesy puns and attempts to keep up with the modern lingo.

Original World:
A place outside of time, filled with strange faeries and old gods, monsters and strange creatures from folktales
(Own Story, will explain if needed!)

How long have they stayed at the house?
2 days

Other:
Finished now! Might add art later

Yumine launched into the air and followed after. In a few minutes, he caught up to Ace and grabbed his leg with so much force that it might've broken a bone. He threw him down to the ground before diving at him.

At the sight of the first monster, Yumine went wild. He grabbed it with his two hands and tore it apart with barely any force. With a furious scream, he threw the next into the wall, sending a shockwave throughout the building. He tore through the corridor, along with the monsters. The voices notified him of Ace's location and he didn't hesitate to sprint over. The thought of Mercy had left his head. All he wanted was the man dead.

Yumine followed after Kendo but lost him a while after. He stared at the paths ahead panickily, balling his hands into fists. Without any other sounds, the voices were more potent. We could find her for you. All you have to do is say the word. "Find her." They giggled. Red Eyes appeared around Ace and all around the base. That way. Yumine sprinted into that direction.

Chains opened his mouth to say more but snapped it shut when he saw the intruders blur past the door. "Oh! Oh! He's here! Apologies, Madame Bliss, but I've got to ditch. See you!" He disintegrated into smoke and raced out the doorway, one might even say cheerfully.
