Lucas tried to hide his surprise at a random person offering him food. He looked at her for a moment before responding.

"What makes you think I'd want that?" he asked. His senses were alert for any signs of deceit or a trap. However, his stomach betrayed him when it growled. Lucas glared at it.

He looked at the female offering him the hot dog and noticed her light blue hair. Was it dyed, or was she...like him? Either way, she seemed sincere enough, so he took the offered hot dog.

"T...thanks." he muttered before devouring the food. He licked his fingers to catch any crumbs he might have missed.

Lucas pulled the hood of his worn and grungy hoodie over his head as he entered the town. He kept his head down so people wouldn't notice his red eyes. He had no money so he rummaged through garbage cans outside any restaurant he came across.

He ate what little he found, but was still hungry. He wandered the streets until he saw an outdoor hot dog vendor. Lucas' stomach rumbled and he wondered if it was worth the risk to steal some. He sat on a bench across the street, hands in the pockets of his hoodie, as he contemplated his next move.

Lucas opened his eyes; he was laying on his back in a place he didn't recognize. He had no memory of how he got there, the last thing he remembered was being overwhelmed by the people chasing him and thinking he was going to die. His head ached and he shut his eyes. He could guess what happened.

"Great."he muttered sarcastically. Slowly, he sat up. He ached all over and he knew there would undoubtedly be some bruises, but otherwise he seemed okay. He stood up slowly and took stock of his surroundings.

It was night, but there were lights from what he assumed were buildings. Buildings meant people and people meant food and, possibly, a place to sleep. His stomach rumbled at the thought of food so he made his way towards the lights.

Personality- brooding and distrustful, but kind
Back story (if any)- He escaped from a secret lab after an explosion. He then lived on the streets, pursued by employees of the lab. He found that he could mega evolve due to the Lucarionite and key stone embedded in his body, but can't control the transformation.

	After they set up camp, Marcus brought out his pokemon. "Come and join us Oddish and Charmander." The two pokemon greeted Bulbs and introduced themselves to each other, Evee and Lucky. Marcus smiled at his two new companions as they set off. He was glad he had met them, traveling was going to be more fun with them. He had almost forgotten about the incident with Billy-Bob and Sarah-Sue.

A robotic Pidgey watched the trio from its hiding place in the trees. Its owner and creator watched through its eyes. The Pidgey was commanded to follow and observe until it had a chance to recover the cube.

Marcus agreed with what Pete said about the cube, it was a logical enough idea. Marcus was glad when Pete picked it up safely. He had been a little scared to touch it.

Then he watched, with some amusement, as Viper and Pete tried to capture the Growlithe. Pete ended up catching it.

"Hey, good work." said Marcus. He looked at Viper. "Don't worry, there'll be others. We were heading to Criton City. You're welcome to join us if you want." offered Marcus.

	A glowing, swirling portal opened up in the distortion world. A flock of chrome robot Pidgey flew threw into Giratina's world. The Pidgey's glowing red eyes sent images back to an undisclosed location the other side of the portal. Elsewhere, the images and data sent by the robotic Pidgey flock was being recorded and analyzed. A shadowy figure smiled as the images and data came in. [Read more]

The Pidgey became agitated when an Evee charged into their midst. They began attacking Evee, trying to drive it away. Marcus was startled by the pokemon's sudden appearance, but acted without thinking when the Pidgey attacked.

"Oddish, protec that Evee!" he said, throwing Oddish's pokeball towards the Evee and the Pidgey around it. Oddish emerged and shielded Evee with its own body.

"Oddish, use absorb to heal yourself." said Marcus. Oddish did so and the Pidgey started to weaken, but more came to help and threatened to overwhelm Oddish and Evee.

	Marcus got up and dusted himself off. Pete made some good points. "I guess we can hide and try to see what they're going to do." replied Marcus. He was also a bit curious as to what would cause Pidgey to behave like this. He also doubted that they could continue without taking a detour around the Pidgey. [Read more]

Marcus shook his head. "I don't know, but they really seem to like it." He walked slowly towards the Pidgey.

"Hey there, can we see what you have? We won't touch it." Marcus tried to be as non-threatening as possible. However, one of the Pigeys used gust on him and another pecked him on the hand.

"Ow." said Marcus as he fell on his behind. The Pidgeys chirped angrily at him.

"We just started our journey together," replied Marcus, "but I think we have a good connection." Marcus was curious about what had delayed Pete's journey, but decided not to pry. They had just met and Marcus would let Pete decide if and when to tell that story.

	As they walked,Marcus reailized he knew nothing about Pete aside from what he learned during their battle. "You and your Bulbasaur seem close. Have you been together long?" he asked.
