@Toothless- When you 'adopt' a pokemon, you're basically taking the image of the pokemon you're adopting and putting it in your sig. You then give it characteristics & personality/name/description/likes & dislikes about it.

So an example would be something like this:

Name: Bulby
Personality: Bulby is shy, but once you get to know her, she is the nicest friend ever!
Likes: Playing, sleeping, butterflies
Dislikes: Mean people

	@zorualuvr- What Riako posted is basically how you level up. You need to do certain things like interact and adopt/hatch eggs in order to do so. I'm not sure if it can get any more specific than that... Also, like what Victory_Fire said, you can see how many trainer points you need in order to level up by hovering over your Trainer Level.
