I was also thinking of levels being included in the price (such as 100~200, 300~400, etc. levels having different prices) but that'd be too much. The items feature would be easier, since there aren't (relatively) many items that can be given to a pokemon and the items are sorted by categories in the Item Bag already, which might help with pricing. Besides, it already semi-exists as the price option in the Item Shop and the Delibird Item Delivery system. So the only reliable method of pricing would be the Price Check thread, but then it would be pointless as the thread is already there. Edit: Actually, a user-submitted vote-like system might actually work. Except that there would need to be a person to approve a certain price, and I'm pretty sure the mods have enough work already. It could either be a suggestion as to what price might draw the most bidders, or a hard upper limit to how much you can price it at. Items could add to the upper limit. Since some people won't be needing this feature, if it's a hard limit there should be a switch in the Misc. Settings. Price values could either be taken from the average price of that pokemon as seen in the Auction House or taken from another source (such as the Price Check thread) Example: [Read more] |

I made a line in the ground at the park several days ago, wondering when The Happening would reach it. I was pleasantly surprised when the line was still there, and started moving the line outward a kilometer per day. Today hadn't brought Armageddon to my doorstop yet, so I started jogging. It's strange to think how little has actually changed for me since the incident happened, other than having no TV or radio. [Read more] |

(So it's kinda like I know the entire story, my character doesn't, and I have no way to influence the RP other than what my character does.) (Also, it'll be interesting to see an info dealer's viewpoint on this incident.) (This part pretty much confirms the fact that all of our characters are in the same area, but have never gotten to know each other because they weren't that interested in each others' daily business. Of course, Craig's character might be an exception.) There were theories all over the place. Some on how this all happened - all with varying degrees of political satire - and some on what was going to happen now. Some thought we'd all crash into some other planet because we were so much lighter. Then the eggheads on TV disproved that by announcing that the planet's mass was the same because nothing was going anywhere, just turning into dust. This is where I stopped watching the TV. I figured that the TV couldn't know much more about this than I did, being a native resident of many forums. The next day, the TV only showed static. I frowned, went outside and adjusted the antenna. The next day, I figured that if the TV wouldn't show me anything I might as well try the radio. The only thing there was a pre-recorded looping message telling us to stay indoors. (This is in the past, right before we discover how wide the remaining piece of Earth is.) [Read more] |

(The setting we begin with is in a roughly circular area around 100 miles wide. The rest of the landmass around it has already deteriorated, and that makes it a barrier. There will be actual time in the RP, and the deterioration will progress further each day. At the end, we'll all be forced to find a strategy to survive. Ready? Starting.) (I RP from a first-person viewpoint. My posts may have a book-like feel to them, since I will be slipping in hints and clues about our current situation.) The world was such an amazing place. Concrete jungles a mile high, places where you could get whatever you wanted- "Well," I muttered to myself, "it's all dust now." I stood up and looked back at the edge of the world as it is now. It was risky, sure, but risky was what I was good at. It all started when someone discovered that the ice caps at each poles were disappearing at a far quicker rate than should be. Eventually, one thing led to another and the whole world was in uproar. I wasn't particularly interested, but I did see the TV broadcast where the eggheads figured out that everything was disintegrating. After that, it was all pure panic. Internet boards were flooded with posts debating whether this was all staged or not and other posts containing nothing except hastily typed messages to everyone they knew. [Read more] |

![]() Current time of RP: Right before characters discover the width of the remaining piece of the Earth The world is falling to pieces. Literally. The force holding atoms together is starting to fail. Earth is scattering into a giant puddle of dust. Already, this phenomenon has claimed many lives. However, some have made it through this change alive. They are called the Vectors. Possessing incredible powers of atom manipulation, they are said to be able to create objects out of thin air. And you, if you are reading this... Are most likely one as well. Rules ![]() You must be approved by a mod or me myself to be accepted. Your character must legally be an adult. No OP (overpowered) characters. Our power is limited because the objects we make dissipate after a bit of time because of the same phenomenon that is causing the Earth to break apart. It would be great if you had at least semi-decent writing skills, with around 3~5 lines per post. You can be kicked from the RP if you break too many rules. Character monologue is accepted as long as it doesn't turn into rambling. Remember, this is on EARTH. You may not be anything other than a human. I would prefer if you described your character in words, but pictures are also accepted. This RP will not pause. The time is based off of where you live, so if you're planning to leave this RP alone for a time you can always make your character sleep or travel for an extended period of time. Lastly, the purpose of this RP is to have fun. If you're not having fun, you can always leave. Character form/guidelines: ![]() (Character name and profession)
(Indicate level of skill at profession) (Indicate knowledge level) (Recognizable features, clothes that match the profession) (Extra backstory is appreciated, but isn't really needed since we can progress our character as we RP.) Example of a character form (my character): ![]() (Character name and profession) Ali is a 19-year-old professional freerunner. (Indicate level of skill at profession) She started learning freerunning when she was 13, and this experience led to her getting a job at the same place she learned freerunning. (Indicate knowledge level) She has skipped college, resulting in her education not being quite complete, but enough for day-to-day necessities. (Recognizable features, clothes that match the profession) She prefers to wear a hoodie over a t-shirt with loose sweatpants for ease of movement. She has shoulder-length straight black hair and Asian skin with a fairly average face that you probably wouldn't notice in a crowd. I thought this was an interesting idea; drawing atoms from the surroundings to create objects might make for some created characters. An example is a character specializing in archery. The character could create arrows, but they would dissipate over time leaving nothing where it hit except, well, a wound. [Read more] |
