She muttered in defeat, not looking back at him. "Oh come on, but I love popcorn! It's not like I'm making a full-blown meal or anything, just a small snack!" She whined. Yeah... Mei sure did love popcorn alright. She loved going to the movie theater and... And... Who did she go with again? What movie did she watch? Did she even go to a movie theater that day? Mei quickly shot those thoughts down and acted like nothing had happened, like she had been doing a lot of recently. ... So apparently Idris knew how to cook. She didn't expect that, but it was nice to know I guess. She didn't exactly expect him to offer to make anything either. "Fiiiine, do whatever you want..." She grumbled before stopping at the cafeteria entrance. Her body was starting to get tired, the high that she suppressed so much was now finally going away, and everything she had done today didn't help make her exhaustion any better. Why was she still roaming around anyways? She wanted to take a nap so badly, but that feeling kept nagging at her. She was doing this because... Yeah, that. She was doing it because of that. Thank god Idris said something, because for once, Mei's mind had completely drawn a blank. She didn't even hum her own little tune to fill the silence, which was unusual to her. She stopped and whirled around to face her companion, a nervous energy plastered all over her face. "...Huh?" "Cook? I uh..." She pursed her lips and looked away, obviously not prepared for that. "I mean, I know how to make popcorn..." She had never once made her own meal in her life, she either just bought packaged foods or had enough money to have someone do it for her, which she hated to admit. She didn't know how to cook a damn thing, she could barely boil some pasta. "Well I mean, we caaaaaaan just f**k around and find out, caaaaan't we? Throw together random s**t or somethin' I dunno!" -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Mei knew that what she had just said came completely out of nowhere, but there wasn't any going back on it now. Besides, she meant what she said. Everyone here was acting like they would live forever, like absolute f**king idiots. They acted like they didn't know the current circumstances, even after there had already been some victims to this sick game. They acted like nothing had ever happened, and everyone here would be able to leave this damn place. It pissed her off to think about, but why did she care so much? A false sense of hope only made death more agonizing. Just how she liked it. She just hoped Idris wasn't like these idiots. She lifted herself up off the ground, still dizzy and disoriented as hell, but she could stand. Maybe all of this was just a result of whatever sedative Mika gave her, or maybe she was just getting too comfortable, who knows. Mei made sure to let go as soon as possible, then whirl around like nothing ever happened. Her energetic, childish self had returned, now even more prominent due to her slight embarrassment for what she just said. Maybe she needed to take her own advice. "Toooo the cafeteria we goooo! Maybe we can find some snacks!" Mei giggled, trying to drag Idris along. She'd go anyways if he wanted to leave, which he probably would. She smiled, then sighed. For the first time in her life, she felt a bit offended that someone immediately assumed she wanted to kill a person. Weird. "It... It's not that, I just wanted to say something." Her expression turned more serious, almost sorrowful. "Don't get too attached, alright?" Mei paused, her gaze now on his face. "To anyone." She wanted to say more, but decided to just leave it at that. Everything she wanted to say was just common knowledge for the both of them anyways. "Now, help me up, will ya?" Her mood changed once again, no sign of her being serious remained. She held her hand out for Idris to grab and drag her up, not really expecting him to do it anyways. [Read more] |

As he ran away, she looked over at Idris, who was also leaving. She was still helplessly seated against the wall, so she couldn't chase after him. After Lucian was out of earshot, she called out to Idris. "Idris, wait." Mei said, her voice low and her tone more serious. "I want to talk to you." She glanced over at Lucian, who was barely visible now. "Without anyone around." Mei held her hand out and gestured for him to come closer, readjusting herself against the wall. "You know this is a killing game... right?" Mei's expression became a slight smile. Assuming Idris said yes in a dumb way, because I don't want to wait for abra, Mei continued. "Good. In fact, any effort she had made to get back on her feet was made obsolete because of it, she just slid down the wall. "Uh huh, suuuuuureee," She teased, "Oh stop, you're not foolin' anyone, you said the saaaaaaame thing with that green-haired chick, then she ended up kissin' you!" Mei giggled even more, thinking back to the whole scene that happened only a few hours ago. There was definitely something going on between them, that was obvious. A murderer and a therapist... The thought only made her amused expression turn into a malicious grin. Love had no bounds after all, or whatever everyone else said. Perhaps that is the real surprise of love; it exists, but one may not attribute causes and effects to it. The existence may appear to be a mere fallacy to the minds of some, and by the time they realize what hit them, they would already be down and dead. She read that in a book once and found it incredibly cheesy and stupid, but... Even when Lucian was struck with the horrifying truth, he still wanted to keep Kaoru with him. She deserved to be punished for what she did, yet Lucian forgot all logic in that moment, still wanting to believe in her. What an idiot. And the way he talked about Kubo... He didn't learn his lesson, did he? How many times must a person be hurt to finally understand? Now she had something else to look forward to, the moment Lucian's heart finally shattered and he realized it wasn't worth trying. Or... Maybe it already was? And he was holding on through pure desperation? Either way, she would keep an eye on Lucian and Sawyer, maybe she'll be the little poke that sent them off the edge, maybe even literally. She tilted her head towards Lucian as he approached, her goofy grin fading and her laughter finally simmering down. Now the pain was starting to settle in... Oh whatever, it couldn't be that bad. "...Huh." She looked at him, not even bothering to get off the ground, and raising her eyebrows. "I'm doing splendid, thank you very much..." She muttered sarcastically, not too impressed with the whole therapy thing. In fact... "A 'therapy' session..." She air quoted, trying to hold back a smile. "Together." She chortled, immediately covering her mouth as soon as she did so. "Damn, Snow White, how many apples have you eaten?" She thought her own joke was funny, as always, so she laughed a little. "I ain't keepin you here, just go alre-" She took one step down, and... She fell, and she began rolling down like an idiot. She finally fell to the bottom, laying there like a starfish, staring at the ceiling with an unamused expression. Surprisingly, no bones were broken, but her spirits were. Her leg apparently didn't want to work this next step, and she stumbled greatly. The sedative was also messing with her head, making the walls around her warp in the weirdest ways, sounds weren't soundin', and nothing even made sense to her anymore. It was also making her angry for some reason... She muttered a few curses as she tried to get back up, somehow managing to do so, but she couldn't make another step. Guess she was stuck here instead. That laugh led to her coughing profusely, but still laughing. She was sitting on the bed at this point, falling forwards because of her outburst. After she had calmed down, she tried to get up but failed to do so properly due to her disorientation. She had managed to get on her legs, but she was leaning heavily on whatever she had somehow grabbed onto. "Time for me to get the hell outta here..." Her words had gone back to being slurred mutters, probably because of how dizzy she was from trying to stand up. Slowly, she began stepping her way to the door, stumbling with each and every step. She couldn't even stay upright without holding onto a wall. The tiredness aspect was starting to wear off and the "heroin" feel became more prominent, but that didn't change the fact that Mei was still pretty weak. She looked back at Idris and waved a goodbye to Akora, then tried her best to walk even more. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- God... This was hell... Why did today have to happen...? Why did he have to witness such horrible things... Why did these things even have to happen? Even with the things he had seen in the past, he still wasn't at all desensitized to this stuff. He'd have nightmares every night, and his time here was no different... He would usually wake up in cold sweat every single night, sometimes even screaming... Last night was pretty tame, so nothing had really happened, but he knew after today... What would Sutaraistu think? Would he even hear him? Oh course he would, even if he was a heavy sleeper... Akari sighed and turned over in his bed, now staring at the ceiling. God... It was so annoying, he hated it here... And now that Sutaraitsu was here... He couldn't do anything, he just had to sit on his bed, doing nothing to distract him from his own thoughts, and being miserable. [Read more] |

Mei usually hated it when people gave her positive attention, it was a little annoying and made her feel like she wasn't living up to her own "unlikeable" standard, so Idris's sudden willingness to help made her uneasy. Mei mumbled something that no one could possibly understand before letting the hand on her face fall to the side of the bed. "Ugghh... Please do..." She said in response to Idris's first question. She then looked over at Akora and used her other hand to rub the part of her neck(?) that had a needle pierced through it. "That little s**t... He f**kin' gave me some sedative or whatever... Ugghh... I feel like s**t..." She groaned some more, then closed her eyes for a bit. "Feels like that f**ker made me take 10 rounds of heroin..." Her words were becoming more clear now, but with her body not being able to keep up with whatever the hell was going on in her head, she was still miserable. Aaaand... She just realized how strange that sentence was. "Don't ask..." She just thought she'd say something about it before they assumed anything. Because we all know how that turns out. Also... Mei hadn't thought about it before, but... How the hell did she get here? Her mind wasn't working good enough to think about it too much, so she couldn't think of a single possibility. "Wait... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Now that the sedative was wearing off somehow, must've been a quick one only used to distract her, she started muttering something about chicken strips or whatever, not really sure. She was probably hungry if that was the first thing her brain wanted her to say. She was still obviously asleep, but at least she was fine. And at least no one tried anything with her while she slept, that was never a... fun experience. After a few seconds, her eyes finally managed to open and she woke up to... Idris, asking the Vet girl or whoever she was about the state Mei was in. This was getting worse and worse by the second, so embarrassing... Thank god Idris was the only one here, it would've been weird if everyone else came too. "Hhhhhh..." She moaned slightly, her eyes still trying to adjust. The light nearly blinded her and her whole body ached, and her head felt so messed up... What the hell was that stuff? "Wha... What the..." Her words were slurred together, and she was barely able to get them out. She tried sitting up, but her body said otherwise, and she just fell to the bed again. She threw her hand over her face and left it there, moaning and groaning in defeat. She felt high af right now, but her body was too weak to keep up to whatever tf she was going through. Did Mika try to drug her or something? Geez... Low blow... Especially since she knew the massive crash she would hit after the high itself wore off. If this was just the beginning... "Did... It was getting harder and harder to keep her eyes open, and her movements were much less energetic. She had somehow managed to push through for this long, but... She couldn't do this forever. Mei's body got weaker and weaker with every step she took up the stairs, until she was finally there, her eyes barely even open. The hand holding onto Mika had fallen to her side, and Mei... "I'll... I'll get back atcha... one day... Mika..." Her exhausted voice spoke quietly, trying her best to face him so that he could hear better. "Someone... slap em... for me..." Well, she hated to admit it, but she wasn't the same as when she walked in here. Sure, she had been heavily desensitized, and nothing about her mind was normal, but... I mean, she could still make jokes, she could still be an asshole, that was good enough, right? She broke away from everyone else, hopping from side to side as everyone decided on where to go, her movements were getting slightly groggier. She had been sedated before and shook it off easily but this... This was something else... Mei had to be sure that this ended ok, as crazy as she was, she didn't want to die this early. Who knows, if she was alone, she was an easy target. Mei wasn't scared of death, she was scared of a boring one, after all. Dying while sedated isn't the best way to go, she had to admit. She looked over at Darcy with wide, eager eyes and a smile, but behind that face was concern. Darcy was acting different, she was making more and more of those comments... If this was anyone else, she'd be perfectly fine with it, hell, she'd be encouraging them, but... Oh why did she care, chaos was chaos. "Hmm... We checked out that quiet green-haired guy's room, mine too! And also Idris's and..." "Nope, that's it, but it's gettin' kinda boring... Let's go upstairs, she if we can find anything!" Her words were as jumpy as her, unable to sit still and full of energy. Without waiting a response, she skipped her way ahead of the group and toward the stairs, still dragging Mika along. Right now, he could easily get away with how loose her grip was, but her menacing aura could've possibly prevented his escape, who knows. She gave herself enough distance from Darcy, Lucian, and Idris so that they could talk without her hearing, if they even wanted to talk at all. [Read more] |

She didn't really care about the attack honestly, she never expected an apology and would've let it slide. She deserved it anyways, she'll admit that. She let him cry for a moment before saying something, noticing that Darcy wasn't doing anything. "Huh? Sorry for what?" She acted oblivious, but as always, that was just an act. "Hey, that was a solid throw, I'm impressed! Besides, I'm just a living punching bag anyways! Hehe, I know, I've been told I have a very punch-able face~" She giggled then moved over to Lucian and Darcy, still pulling Mika along with her. She could tell, her grip was getting slightly weaker. She pulled them all together, completely forgetting the existence of Idris, almost like she was getting them ready for a photo. It wasn't necessarily a group hg, she just huddled them together. "Come on, get over it! It's fiiiiiine! Nothin to worry about, seeeeee!" This is the closest Mei will ever get to comforting someone. [Read more] |

Well, from the anger, her spidey senses started tingling, and that allowed her to move just enough so the blow only felt like a small slap. Before she could do anything back, she felt the familiar prick of a needle pierce her skin. That brat... Mei groaned before swatting it away, glaring at Mika. "You really don't know when to quit, do ya?" "And I was only retrieving something that was rightfully miiiiine!" Mei whined, because stealing an object from a thief wasn't as good as being the main robber. "Geez Lucian, why do you hate me so muuuuuch?" She whined again, pouting as she placed her free hand on her hip. She didn't bother to do anything else though, she wasn't in the mood for it anyways. Besides... She couldn't forget about whatever Mika did to her though, who kn- Oh. She could feel it already, even though it appeared to be slow to activate. She had noticed that her blinks were barely longer than before, and her thoughts weren't as clear. Oh well, she'd be fine. She had plot armor after all. [Read more] |

Nah, I'll give you payback instead~" She quickly flipped through the pages, her expression changing with each drawing she saw. By the end, she was on the verge of bursting into laughter. "Mika, what the hell! Ok, not gonna lie, totally worth it!" She finally cracked, she was now laughing the entire time she spoke. Mei nearly threw the notebook back to him, not finding much use for it anymore because honestly, she didn't want to be in possession of that. Besides, even if it was good blackmail, she was too lazy to do that. "Fine, Fine! Here, have your corn-filled wonderland back!" After a few seconds, Mei finally calmed down enough to respond to Lucian... As well as Darcy. "Business? Wouldn't yooouuuu like to know, therapist-boy?"
