Chapter 2

Ember awoke to her trainer talking. "The name's Luke. And you are?"
"I'm Ruby. I will battle with you. How many pokemon are we to each use?"
"Two per trainer."
"Ember! Toxel! Come over here!" Ember did not like being called over to the battle. Well, at least this wasn't a Dynamax stadium. "Floof! I choose you!" Luke said and he sent out a Wooloo. "Venom! Go! Use Acid!" Venom used Acid and Floof was poisoned. "Floof, use Tackle!" the sheep pokemon tackled Venom, but you could notice its poison was harming it a lot. "Venom! Finish it off with Nuzzle!" Floof fainted. "Venom, return. Ember, it's your turn!" "Twig, come on out!" Twig was a familiar-looking Grookey. "Twig?" Ember asked, suddenly thinking that it was her friend from the lab. "Ember!" he exclaimed. "Ember, use Tackle!" Ruby exclaimed. Ember knew she couldn't attack her friend, so she didn't. "Twig, use Scratch!" "T-Twig," Ember said in fear that he would attack her. Twig shook his head. "Ember, I'm sorry, but we have to continue this battle," Twig said. And then he attacked Ember.
