Belle's eyes danced around his face nonchalantly. There was a small sense of realization in her face, to which she hung and her head and laughed a little bit. So that's why Jasper kept him... She thought, glancing back up at Umbra. Belle simply stared at him, as if watching to see what he'd do next.

Belle met his gaze a simply narrowed her eyes. She had heard him coming but, for some reason, did nothing to stop him. "Do you really think that you're alone? Look around you, Justin. Everyone here is messed up--most Fantasies you meet will hardly have any sanity left, let alone enough for two people.
"You can't kiss away every single one of your problems--god, Justin, I'd mess you up even further. Jasper has me so that I can do all the work that he can't handle. I break people's sanity for a living! You really think that I could help?" Her voice had raised above a mutter, although she wasn't quite shouting. Her periwinkle eyes were alit with infuriation, which was strangely different than her normal cold looks. It didn't suit her.
Belle ripped her hand out of his grasp, put it firmly back on the handle of her suitcase and pushed past him. "Talk to me when you're sure you want to commit to your jacked-up brain," she hissed, storming out of the room.

Belle pulled out two suitcases and pulled them upright, not bothering to check if everything was in place. It's advised not to give a psychotic person a gun, isn't it? She thought, glancing over at Justin and realizing that he wasn't much better than she was. Belle walked by the bed and paused, still looking at him. "Justin, I don't..." She inhaled sharply. "It's not that I don't like you. I have trust issues... clearly... But for what it's worth, you can do a hell of a lot better than me." She clenched her teeth and almost immediately regretted what she said--and didn't say. And I believe you now. Although it's already a bit too late for that, she thought, not able to say it. She turned and walked away, her luggages in tow.

Belle watched the bedroom door as it closed and sat there for a little bit, blushing and trying to think of anything else. She regretted what she had said to him--she could tell that he was a bit taken aback since he retreated--but decided that pity wasn't enough. Belle tried to avert her thoughts once again as she stared out the window.
Her head snapped back to the door, Did I leave him with my weapons?
She almost didn't barge in--especially after what she'd said--but then decided that her knives were more important and walked up to the room. She knocked swiftly and, without waiting for an answer, opened the door and walked up to the dresser without looking at him.

Belle pressed her gaze into his as if she were searching for that tinge of dishonesty. She watched his facial features closely and told herself that it was because she was evaluating him. She wanted to trust him, but... I can't let him know that.
"Please move, Justin. You're very close to me and I can feel your breath."

Raven looked over at her and stared. His gaze was firm but reassuring, "The dark dragons... we heavily believe in staying in the present. We appreciate fate when it is kind to us and then we move on, only to grow stronger because of our past. I think that... you're the type to grow, too. I'm sure you'll be safe from now on." He looked at her for a little bit longer and shrugged, turning his attention back to the water as if what he said wasn't valid.
He slipped into the pool and began to trek, keeping his head above the surface. It was terribly cold and his face reflected this. He flipped to his back instead and floated there harmlessly, his arms spread out as he stared up at the ceiling. Raven drifted away slightly but let himself drift, his face almost peaceful.
-------
"Oh, geez... four?... Ah, well. I hope they're nice... although the darkness dragon is a bit scary..." She shrugged and twirled the front bit of her hair a little bit, her eyes sparkling as she cocked her head a little bit. "Would it be alright if I hid with you?"

Belle sat there for a few seconds too long and simply didn't move. Her heart seemed to dip and it took a little bit before she realized that, sadly, she didn't trust Justin enough. She put her hand on his chin and gently pulled back, pushing him away only slightly. She only mildly regretted her decision as she spoke, "I'm not an experiment, Justin."

Evie had woken up a few minutes before the alarm clock and had decided that it would be easier to just lay there rather than getting up. She flipped sides to look over at Elliot and uttered a slurred "Morning", clutching her pillow with one arm and rubbing her eyes with the other. The bed seemed to sink a bit more than usual as if it were calling to her and, in all honesty, Evie didn't have the will to wake up.
So she lay there and kept her eyes open. She didn't remember waking up being so hard, and the cold temperatures didn't seem to help. She huffed and told herself that it was just one more day until the week was over. Evie climbed down the ladder quickly and stretched her back in an inward arc until it cracked.

Raven waved back and sat at the edge of the pool, dipping his feet in the water and kicking them around lightly. The water was alarmingly cold and he suppressed a flinch, instead smiling over at Adriane.
"Do you think," he said, "it'd be best if you had a guard along with you for your next few... uh, clients?"
-------
"It, uh... it could be better. Taking a break from home right now. Oh, I saw the other guests." Wisty's mood improved slightly at the change of subjects, "They're new, I'm guessing. How's it going with them?"

Raven nodded curtly and backed away a bit, although it pained him to see Adriane limping like that. He slipped into his bedroom and quickly changed into a pair of cargo pants--Adeline ignored him--and stood in front of the mirror. He glanced at the plethora of stitches and scars etched across his body and ran his thumb over the one across his clavicle. "Hey, Addy," he mumbled.
Adeline poked her head over the border of her top bunk, "Yo."
"My scars aren't... disturbing, are they?"
She blinked sharply as if taken aback by his question. "No. Of course not. They're part of your past and that's... well, no. your past isn't exactly pleasant. But they're not surprising and they're not disturbing--anyone who tells you different can reckon with me. Besides, Adriane's a really considerate person."
He paused and turned his head to look back at her, "You sure?"
"Course. She's totally into you, anyway."
"What do you mean?"
"Ah, nothing. Go have fun."
Raven disregarded this and waved at Adeline as he walked back over to the pool, bouncing on his feet a bit.
----------
Wisty opened the door and walked in, making sure to shut it behind her (she knew how Crystal was with privacy) and smiled brightly. "Hello," she sang, brushing her hair out of her face.

Raven rushed to her side and took her arm so that she could balance without hurting herself. He didn't quite answer her when she spoke about the other hybrids and seemed a lot more concerned about her leg.
"I... think I have a spare something somewhere. I'll go check in a bit," he said, walking slowly again so that Adriane could keep up. He seemed a bit more careful than usual as if he would hurt her by accident. He made it to the door and leaned forward a bit to open it. The moment Raven saw the pool he was reminded of how much he disliked swimming (although he kept quiet for Adriane).
-------
Wisty took a small breath before knocking on the door. She had hardly realized that the five knocks she made were in tune with her humming--she did that pretty often--and backed away from the door slightly while she waited for a response. She fretted slightly when Crystal didn't answer immediately but told herself that she was just nervous and suppressed it.

Belle's light eyes had a sense of challenge as she looked up and locked gazes with him. The heat radiating from her face, she knew, wouldn't slip by--she kept her face stoic anyway. "What... what the hell are you playing at, Justin?" She hissed, although it came out a little bit softer than she had intended.

Ah, damn. He's talking now. She pivoted her body to look over the back of the couch and at Justin, her face surprisingly neutral (it was usually spiteful) and almost calm. She nodded at him, although it was more of a brief dip of her chin. "Weapons practice," she said bluntly.
Belle turned away from him and sat back down normally before adding, "Us seeing the Fantasies... or being near them, rather... wasn't planned. Jasper's incredibly conservative with information, but he's slightly easier to read. There're a few weak spots, at least. He fights when he's nervous."

Wisteria kneeled down and stretched out her fingers, her cape spread across the floor. She ignored it and kept her focus on Adriane's leg, nodding slightly to indicate that she was listening.
"I do hope you stay a little bit more careful about your clients, yeah? I'm not one to judge, but still... I don't want you getting hurt." She ran her fingers across Adriane's ankle and murmured a soft incantation, a warm glow emitting from her palms.
A bright rune seemed to etch into Adriane's skin and Wisty flexed her fingers a bit in a knitting motion, continuing this for a few seconds before opening her eyes. The light from the rune ebbed away and her hands had returned to normal; her eyes snapped open and she looked at the leg with semi-satisfaction.
"That should be good. Come to me if it still hurts, okay?" She said, a bit more brightly. Wisty leaped back to her feet and offered a smile. The idea of violence, in general, put her on the edge, but the fact that it was directed towards Adriane... well, she'd rather not think about it.
Wisty looked over and locked gazes with Raven--who had unintentionally been staring at her--and smiled warmly. He instead snapped his head away and seemed to shrink back into his throw pillow, to which Wisty felt a pang of empathy. She rocked back and forth on her heels a bit before looking over her shoulder at the hallway thoughtfully. "I'm going to go say hello to Crystal," she said, walking off.

Belle lifted her head and turned back, a bit confused. She had forgotten that Justin was in the house and silently clenched her teeth (she scolded herself for her own stupidity). Belle shifted to a normal sitting position and held back a sarcastic remark. She stared out the window and semi-hoped that Justin wouldn't notice her, grinding her teeth together and trying to think of anything else. She failed and kept thinking of the not-so-subtle flash of insanity across Justin's face the previous night, still able to picture it clearly.

"Ah, alright. See you later~" Wisty sang, patting her hair back down and watching Matthew walk past. Her heart fluttered a bit at mention of Crystal and she turned to Adriane and thanked her, taking a quick look at her and realizing that she was injured. "Oh, Adriane! I didn't realize you were hurt!" She slowly walked up to her to take a closer look at her leg, biting her lip in concern.
After a while she softly said, "I could help heal that, if you'd like. I'm not the best healer, but I could do a little incantation." Wisty fretted, but didn't ask what happened--she knew it was best not to--and instead worried about the healing.
Raven sat, unmoving, in his seat. Wisty was a stranger to him and that was more than enough to revert him back to his silent mode--she glanced at him from the corner of her eye and seemed a little bit on the edge by his presence but tried her best to ignore it.

Raven hugged one of the throw pillows tightly, digging his chin into it as his gaze flitted around the house. "Oh, yeah, they don't exaggerate with that curse. I think I'm pretty... excited. Yeah." He had remembered something Adeline said about eye contact and titled his head a bit so that he could look at Adriane, his cheek now squished against the pillow. "Also happy." His dark-red eyes seemed to glimmer with curiosity, and his face became more animated as he spoke. "And overwhelmed. That too."
There was a rattling at the door and Raven popped up to take a look out the window, a confused look sprawling across his face. "I don't know who that is," he mumbled, throwing the pillow to the side and leaping to his feet. A girl stood in the doorway fiddling with the keys and seemed frustrated after she had dropped them about four times. She scooped up the keys and knocked instead.
Raven glanced at Adriane and decided to open it, standing still and facing her. She looked up and her eyes widened, and for a moment she was frozen in shock--she quickly smiled and stuck out her hand, speaking a bit too quickly. "Oh, hello there! You must be new around here... at least, I don't recall seeing you here before. My name is Wisteria--er, Wisty. A pleasure to meet you."
Raven took her hand, shook it, and timidly mumbled his name before disappearing back to his spot on the couch. Wisty closed the door behind her and turned to Adriane, sighing. "Would it be alright if I stayed here for a while? Things aren't going great right now."

(ye that sounds pretty good)

Evie was enlightened as she bounced back to her feet and skipped over to the window. She reached out an arm to shut it and a very small part of her resisted. Her hand hovered in front of it and she gave her head a firm shake and yanked it shut, fiddling with the latch nervously a bit before finally locking it.
Ara was unconscious, but she could hear the scolding. She pressed her tongue against the roof of her mouth and decided to finish sorting out her books instead. Her mind always wandered whenever she did labor work, but this time she kept it focused on Elliot and the Morse Crow. Elliot wasn't the brightest--well, who knows, she could be smart logically--but she was a lot more upbeat and creative than her last roommate had been. It was a nice change on Evie's part, at least. She still felt a tad bit guilty that she had replaced Dommi, but she would make it up. Somehow.

Rogue wordlessly slipped into the hallway, and before Adeline could notice he had shut his door softly. He's a slippery one, she thought, her eyes still staring at where he had been standing. Part of her worried about the housing situation--after all, Raven and Adeline had gone from having each other to having a bunch of other halflings. Halflings that she hardly knew, too. But they're harmless, for the most part. She sighed and bounced up to her feet, waving as she escaped to the depths of her room so that Raven and Adriane could have some time to bond.

Rogue yelped in surprise and recoiled from Matthew, ripping his fingers away. Frost began to encase them and he rubbed it off, avoiding their gazes almost shamefully. "It's cause I'm an ice dragon," he mumbled, leaving out the fact that his powers were unstable, "I'm always cold."
Adeline looked up and simply stared at Rogue. Her face was neither sympathetic or apathetic; it was neutral. Rogue stole a quick glance at her and almost squirmed under her pressing gaze. Does she always have that electricity in her eyes? He thought, biting his lip.
Her gaze lightened after a little bit and she stared at him less intensely, "You'd best be careful about that. It could cause some real damage."
Ah. She knows. He simply gave her a reassuring, half-hearted smile in reply. Most dragons would feel like their safety was jeopardized in the face of an unstable halfling, but Adeline... she gave him a look of trust, somehow.
