Koda shrugged. "He was a good boy, and I loved him. I STILL love him, his velvety fur and trusting expression, because I don't think him and me were so different. I seem to know, deep down, that he died amongst those who loved him." Koda leaned against Kowai's shoulder and twisted her hand in front of her, like stroking a cats head.

Koda looked up and noticed Kowai's expression. "He was never mine." Koda said quietly. "But I can understand. Cats are... Strange things. Loving and trusting, angry and hissing. Spotted and striped, anything, really. Like people. And so much so, we grow attached. They become our friends, no matter the fur, no matter the attitude." Koda finished, and flicked off a startled expression. Huh? I didn't know I had that in me... Where did that come from?

	Koda grasped Kowais hand. Her grip was strong and sturdy and she pulled Kowai up to a higher branch. The branch was very thick and wide, and after Koda pulled up Kowai she sat on the branch, and stretched her legs off the edge. [Read more]

	Koda flexed her hands. The skin seemed very thick and rough... a type of a grippy texture there, like a sort of natural padding. "Now I have good balance.. Well, better. Advice, don't climb trees with the brown moss if its just been raining. Green moss is fine." Koda chirped, forgetting the seeming threat at hand, and quickly she broke away from Kowai, and sprinted at a tree.

She launched herself up and grabbed onto a thin branch, and it creaked. Koda though hurled herself at a thicker branch, pulling herself up and sitting there. "Ow!" Koda yelped suddenly, biting a shard of wood from her palm.

"Weather's nice." Koda smirked, dangling her legs from the branch.

	Koda nodded to Suko. "Feel better." She trotted forward and waved Kowai to follow her, smiling with a sorrowful look, remembering the danger possibly bestowed upon this person. Koda gave an alarmed squeak. "Kowai!" She snapped in a scolding voice, springing from shadow. "Please, get off Suko." She added gently, prodding Kowai's shoulder. Goodness, that was... sudden. Better check if Suko's oka- Wait. Why do I care? She asked herself with a slight touch of resentment. I wish I didn't care this much about them. If anything happens to them...
