"Lots of magic show stages have these hidden spaces under them for disappearing acts, though most modern ones have elevators connected to some sort of button that the magician steps on. In my experience, they're usually used for storage as well."

A small notch in the wood, barely noticable unless you knew to look for it. I put a finger through and pulled the hatch open, quickly hit with the scent of wood, metal, and tools. "Talk about retro."

"Woah..." I stared in awe at the room. Despite my taste of fame, I'd very rarely performed somewhere as grand as this. The few times I had, they were privately owned stages with the only audience being a few rich bozos. Performing somewhere like this, the audience packed with anyone and everyone...

It would be a dream come true. Despite myself, I slowly made my way over to a few of the seats, my disbelief and shock the only thing stopping me from sprinting to them.
