"Oh, no, it's no big deal!" Allium said, her demeanor softening the moment she saw Crystal's guilt. In her head, the voice of all of her previous mentors chided her--she pushed it away. "I forgive you and I'm sure Matthew does too. You sure know him a lot better than I do." Allium offered a much friendlier smile, "I'm sure we can be friends as well."

Jack stayed terribly close to Crystal as they walked through the Skyway station, their arms centimeters away from brushing. His ears were pinned back in an obvious discomfort and his tail was pulled back against his leg so that he wouldn't brush against any strangers. Strangely enough, his face stayed emotionless--if not for his tail and ears, Jack would've been unreadable.
In his peripherals, he spotted a guard leaning against the wall. Jack weaved into the crowd only to escape from the guard's view, tensely waiting for the Skyway train to arrive.

"Oh, yeah, I can understand her liking Cynthia," Evie replied, stopping herself there. The last thing she wanted was to get in trouble for running her mouth (which she had a terrible habit of doing). She stayed close to Elliot, knowing better than to trust her terrible street habits--especially out of campus. She quite frequently lost herself in her own thoughts on the streets (and then almost got hit by a swarm of bikes).
"Is that it?" She pointed at a nearby parlor.

Evie nodded sympathetically, "Yeah, I've seen Yelise around. She looks intimidating. I've heard lots of people complain about her playing favorites. And most of the favorites only being the smartest or something like that." She said most of this without thinking twice and realized, after she had said it, she might've been mixing Yelise up with another teacher. She always did, even after being at the academy for so long (and, sadly, her memory wasn't much better with peers).
"I think," she added briefly, just in case. Evie switched her focus to her surroundings and realized they were nearing the gates. She twirled her ID in her hands, scanning the groups of people loitering about.

Evie had been listening intently--she enjoyed Elliot's energetic rambling--and took a moment before responding to reflect on her day. "Not too much, really. Although I swear Thoreau has it out for me... or everyone. Probably everyone. Gosh, have you ever been stared down by her? It's like being face-to-face with death."

"Oh," Spectrum said softly, surprisingly unafraid of this. She was progressively getting better with excessive violence and gore; she was alright with stomaching it in the first place but with Magnolia and Wither that wasn't enough. She turned her face up to Wither and absentmindedly ran her hand across Kaleidoscope's head as she spoke. "Do you really think that Tony would agree with you? I mean, I understand your logic, but it's a bit sudden--knowing that you didn't consult him beforehand--and it takes... time to make executive decisions like that."
Wither huffed, "Which is why most executives are so tedious and ineffective. Tony is a leader at heart and sooner or later he has to realize that we're no longer safe here. If anything, it's dangerous. The best we can do is move, and with a ship we can be constantly moving."

Adeline smiled at the thought and quickly responded, "I doubt there'd be anything to walk in on." She fiddled around with the bow in her hair before taking it down (only to tie it up again immediately). Allium was already looking over at Crystal and wasn't quite startled when she spoke to her and her facial features seemed to be forgiving if anything. "It's alright. You were worried about Adriane's safety."
------
"Yep," he mumbled, a bit more distracted in his own serenity.

"You're not a bother," Adeline replied happily, pausing before she dealt the cards. "You two care for swimming?" She looked up and glanced at Allium and Rogue. Rogue shrugged and Allium nodded, rolling back her shoulder carefully.
"Raven and Adriane are still in there, last I checked, but they prolly won't mind."
Allium looked up, "Are you sure Raven wouldn't mind?"
"Nah, he's fine. He likes you guys but he's just shy--it's a matter of time before he warms up." She set the cards down and stood up, walking towards the pool.

"Oh, alright," Wisty said, figuring it was too late to tag along. She raised her hand and put it lightly on her cheek just to feel the heat.
----
"Hey," Adeline said upon seeing Crystal in the kitchen. She sat at the dining table with Allium and Rogue, shuffling a deck of cards. Allium gave a curt wave--an uncomfortable one if anything--and Rogue smiled at her.

"That's okay~" Raven said happily, almost sing-song. He looked at her and attempted to flip on his back, but he lost control and began to slowly spin around in circles. He didn't try to control it and seemed content.
-----
"Well, I wish you would," she mumbled. Wisty patted her hair back down and huffed.

Raven began to laugh, although it was breathy and soft since he was doing his best to suppress it. "I'm alright," he reassured, beaming at her as if to prove it.
-----
Wisty squirmed away and stacked her hands on top of her head, instantly becoming flustered. She whimpered, "Crystalllll, you promised to stop doing that!"

Jinx's tail twitched with delight upon seeing Hazel's newfound positivity. He was surprised that he had snapped her attention so quickly, but he was in no place to judge--he was like that, too.
"So, one day, the kit was meandering about a forest that her clan was passing by. She didn't realize that her entire clan was far, far ahead--so far, in fact, that she couldn't see them. She realized that she was lost in the forest and began to mewl, pacing around and around until becoming even more lost than she had been before.
"When she finally gave up she plopped down on a rock that was heated by the sun and watched the stream on the ground flow."

Elli's eyes were soft, but pleading. He glanced over at Dexter and back at her, his shoulders scrunching tensely. "Exactly! Ivy, there's so much abandonment and hate and betrayal in this world--wouldn't it be so much better if we had people on our side? He's not asking much of us and neither are we." He was gesturing wildly, but speaking softly. "We're all lonely scared if you think about it."

"Oh, no," Raven replied, treading the water so that his head barely bobbed above the surface, "I never had them in the first place." He rubbed his eyes and yawned, his jaws parting to reveal his almost razor-sharp teeth. For a brief second, he lost momentum and dipped under the surface. Raven squirmed a bit in surprise and popped back above it, turning his head to spit out the water.

Wisty's hair fell in front of her cheek and she decided not to move it--she was blushing, anyways. "I wouldn't know. Goodness, did you say that Matthew's with someone? That's..." She sighed, searching for the right word, "surreal. I'm happy for him, though." She nervously bounced between topics. "I'm sure you'll find love if you look for it. You're..." Wisty bit her tongue to stop herself from saying 'charming'.
"Well, anyone that knows you as well as I do could certainly love you," she said and then regretted it. That wasn't much subtle-er. She clenched her teeth.

Jack nodded firmly. The other side of town was a long walk from where there were, but it certainly beat walking across the entire Capital. He thought about the walk and the ways to get there and, much to his surprise, realized that there wasn't much stopping him. He could take any route and have it be safe--for the most part, a majority of his rivalries and danger areas were on their side of town. Why did I never think about moving? he wondered, cursing himself for his stupidity.

"And I can't help him. That's how this whole thing started," Belle grumbled, knowing well that Umbra was already asleep. She could tell the second he fell asleep just by his breathing--an old trick that she had learned back when she was living with her mother. As a child, Belle did far too much sneaking around, but she figured it was too late by now. She was already ruined enough. Belle glanced down at Umbra's sleeping frame one last time before going to the couch and picking up Jasper's book, flicking through the pages and carelessly skimming. She had only reached the second chapter when Dawn and Jasper came back home, to which Dawn immediately dashed to Umbra's body.
"Belle, what happened?" She asked, staring intensely at the pool of blood.
"Oh, nothing. We had a lil' fight. Nothing too serious. He's fine now, I patched him up--might've injected him with that serum," Belle replied. Jasper seemed unfazed by this--he had probably been expecting it--and took a seat next to Belle, grabbing his book back.

"You're pretty messed up," Robin mumbled, cradling a small hatchling that had fallen out of one of the trees. He looked up into the branches, struggling to find the nest with his slowly declining eyesight, and huffed in exasperation.
"Oh, shut up. Do you see it?" Skye asked, looking up with him and leaning back in forth in hopes that it would help in some way. "It'd be easier to just fly up there and find it like that."
"No, it wouldn't. We'd knock on a few branches and we could frighten the birds. Or worse, we could disturb the actual nest." The hatchling chirped.
"We wouldn't fly up right next to the tree, dummy! I have weather powers. You don't need to stay right next to the tree."
Robin's eyes narrowed. "Unstable weather powers."
"That's irrelevant," Skye snapped back, clicking her fingers so that the winds pick up a bit. Robin sighed in defeat and the winds coiled around her, slowly lifted her up so that she could take a closer look at the tree.

Jinx mewled in protest, "I'm still a kit, too!" He buried his muzzle grumpily into his tail, his fur puffed up a bit. He looked over at Blaze for help, to which she reached over to nuzzle her kit's shoulder. "Surely you can think of something, dear. You've got so many stories buzzing about in your head."
"Mmmn. Oh. Oh! Okay. So, once upon a time, there was a little she-kit. She was from a clan that was far, far away--a clan that was so closed off that there was no other clan that was friends with them. This clan moved around, though, in hopes that they would find a friend-clan. This little kit was really adventurous and wandered just a little bit behind her clan when they traveled so she could look around at all of the beautiful forests and plains."

But he's a genuine guy. Intimidating, but maybe he just has to be. Surely he'll warm up? Elli thought although he had already locked in his own opinion. He looked over at Ivy, who he had practically clung to since introduction, and waited for her opinion. She was, Elli knew, a bit more cynical than him. He wouldn't want her to feel uncomfortable around Dexter, so he supposed that it was her call.
