Clarisse sprung up from her seat, took her belongings with her and ran outside, looking for Leaf or Iola, her axe to her side.
As she scanned the students pouring out of the three classrooms, she tried once again to activate and deactivate the simple spell on command.

	(If Marcus comes, as proposed before, from Ylisse through some weird means, I'd say he could learn Sol as a Combat Art for swords, and Luna for lances or axes. Anyways, I think this is a bit too soon for that... Also, @YungRover, I'd say you should put your spell list in your character sheet, just for completeness) [Read more]

Clarisse didn't have much interest in a theoretical approach to combat, but knew she'd need it if she wanted to become a true warrior. She also noticed she wasn't as slow as she thought she'd be with magic, probably due in part to Professor Lysithea's great expertise with the subject.
Clarisse even managed to learn a small spell to make her axe a little lighter and easier to use by the end of the lecture day.

(Ordinary lessons: unless something important happens, we're gonna skip those.
Noble Houses: choose whatever name you want, but it'd be better if you were a member of a canon house, just to keep it simple
Crests: they do not resemble objects or animals.
Also, this is explicitely a way to level the playing field, so birth Crests are just a roleplay thing (for example, Clarisse'll temporairly suppress her Crest and take the Beast's one, as it suits her more)

Clarisse got up, together with a group of other young Alliance nobles. As she passed next to where the Blue Lions were seated, she waved to Leaf and Iola. She wanted to be one of the first students to get to Professor Lysithea's indroduction of the classes, but she stopped and told them, making it clear she was in a hurry: "I'll see you after classes. If any of you wants to spar a bit..."

The Archbishop, in front of the altar, was looking away from the student and visitors, who sat on benches. Clarisse was very attentive, but she hoped it would be short. She noticed the other voices slowly stopped as Byleth brought up a hand.

Having then lowered it, the Archbishop began:"Thank you all for being here. Allow me to welcome the new students. All of you..." Marcus felt an inquisitive stare trained on him "know what happened not too long ago, and some of you probably lost loved ones in the war, or in the repression that brought to it. I wanted to apologize, on behalf of the Church for everything that transpired. I'm sure Emperor Edelgard and the Kings Dimitri and Claude feel the same."

"Each of your Houses will be led by a teacher, but you'll all study with all three. There will be plenty of cross-House lections and training, and some mock-battles to check your progress, in order to foster an atmosphere of collaboration and rivalry, so that Fòdlan won't experience another war for a long time. For the same reason, and under request from Emperor Edelgard, all of you will be able to suppress, temporairly or completely, your Crest, or use an artificial one. For any question, ask Professor Linhardt.

The next day, the bells ringed(?) to make sure all students were awake.
Clarisse rolled out of bed, still sleepy, and fell to the ground. She sat up, and began preparing to head out.
In the meantime, someone with good hearing could notice sounds of preparations coming from the cathedral.
As Clarisse followed the flow of Golden Deer students around her, she noticed some posters reminding anyone reading that the Archbishop would have a small talk with the students about what the next year would entail.
