Jack had been the one to lead Crystal to the back corner of the bus so that they could stuff themselves away from all of the others, sitting next to each other because all the other seats were full (and he was a bit afraid of being separated). He propped his arm on the windowsill, resting his head on it so that his hand covered half of his mouth. The outside world seemed to slip by, with the city looking rich and fancy for five seconds and then going back to marketplaces and areas that looked like the ones Jack lurked in.
"How far out of our area have you been?" He asked, glancing back at Crystal. He figured that it would help to get to know her a little better.

"No, because her mama was important to the group and she was really, really busy. Besides, they were used to her tagging a little bit behind. She did it all the time, anyway." He watched Sakura pad up with her dandelion and paused her story for a moment to appreciate the moment as Hazel rejected her gift. His sister always seemed to tower above him over anything and winning Hazel's attention was a special moment. Sakura's whiskers twitched in annoyance, mostly towards Jinx's obvious nonverbals, and she picked up the dandelion and trotted off to go find Ginger.
Blaze cocked her head in a way that said, 'Go on', and Jinx had to pause yet again to remember where he had been in the story.
"Oh, right! So, the little she-kit was tired. After mewling and trotting around for a long time, she sat on a rock to rest and was calmed by the stream in front of her. She fell asleep pretty quickly.
"When she woke up, the sun had long since gone down, and everything was dark and quiet. Every now and then there was a rustle in the trees and, instead of scaring her, it fascinated her. She began to explore, and in the corner of her eye, she saw something--fireflies! The she-kit began to follow them."

Silver sat next to Eclipse on the edge of the cliff, a disc of magical aura spinning through the spaces between his fingers. Eclipse's brow creased in concentration as she attempted to mirror him, but the most she could manage was a series of sparks that appeared around and on her hand. She had forgiven Silver and Rhythe by this time--it took only a few days and a couple of apologies for her to act like nothing had ever happened. It was because of her naivete, Silver supposed, that she was able to trust them like that.
Eclipse bared her fangs in frustration and flicked her hand away, her shoulders slumping. She pointed her face away, her expression warring in between disappointment and shame.
"You're making progress," Silver said lightly, having terrible reassurance skills, "I've seen other children that can barely do half of that in double the amount of time that you've been practicing."
"Yeah, but I'll never be as good as you. Or Rhythe. Or Shade. Or Mag--"
"We're old and have a lot of practice. You'll be just as good if not better than us in a while if you keep trying, promise." Silver ruffled her hair briefly in affection and stood up, scanning the area for Rhythe.

"Hello, Tony. I'm glad you're feeling well," Wither said, smiling as she put her hand over Tony's and took it off her shoulder. "I didn't expect to have this talk today, but I suppose you're absolutely eager to know, hm? Here, sit down." She moved away from Void to clear a space for Tony. Her leg barely brushed against Magnolia's. Her icy blue gaze was calm and gentle like her voice, but there was a sense of sarcasm--a little spark that suggested she wasn't as oblivious as she was acting.
"So you remember that little talk we had, a few weeks ago maybe, about relocating? I mean, you probably don't, because, well, you weren't listening, but. But." She smiled mischievously, noticed Spectrum in the corner of her eye--Spectrum didn't say anything, knowing that Tony was mad.
"I figured out a solution to that. One of those fancy, high-tech demon airships that they're so proud about--a technological miracle, really. Y'know, the ones that they guard with their lives? Those are pretty cool, don't you think?" It was at this point that Wither realized how bad she was at pitching an idea. She hadn't put much thought into it. "But they're very secure, and we'd never have to go through the relocate-get attacked-relocate again cycle. Because, y'know, it's portable. But everyone's scared with the current place, with the most recent attacks." She leaned on her fist and cocked her head a bit, waiting for a response.

There was a brief moment of silence when he mentioned Lucifer--she hated that someone could so easily be used against her like that. "I'm not a scout, Jackson. That's Crimson's job," she hissed impatiently, with a look that said 'can I go now?'. Crysia's mind glossed over all of the things that she probably should have reported and realized that she kept a lot more secrets than she should.

Jasper silently bobbed, only half-listening to the conversation. He was lost in his own thoughts, tuning in momentarily when he heard Justin's staggered breathing. Dawn began to lightly reassure him, as she was morally inclined to do, telling him that it was alright and asking him if he wanted to talk about it. Jasper's eyes fluttered closed for only two seconds before he heard a distant screech, to which he immediately bounced up and ran out of the house, cursing under his breath.

Belle only grunted in response, apathetic towards him. Dawn shot a glare at her and turned back to Justin, sighing and offering him a slightly warm cup that she had prepared only minutes before he woke. "Don't mind them. They're very bad at expressing care--I'm sure you've picked up on that," she said, loud enough for them to hear. "This'll numb the pain... no worries, it just tastes like honey water. No knockout juice, promise." Belle shifted, picked up her dagger, and wordlessly left the house. The door audibly shut behind her.

"Th-there's other reasons to blush, Crystal! I don't--I mean, it's... nothing set," Allium whispered in one breath, knowing that there was no use in arguing.
Wisty stepped forward before Crystal could reply and smiled at her brightly, with a joyful innocence that reminded Allium of a child. For a moment Allium was skeptical--after all, most dragons she meant weren't as harmless as they seemed--but she immediately chided herself for this and decided that she trusted her. The Glasglow name, as far as she remembered, was respected.
"Never mind that! Although I'm sure you're wonderful together~" She winked mischievously, "How about you sit down with us? I want to get to know you better--don't you, Crystal?" She turned to the weather halfling and smiled, her words genuine and lacking sarcasm.

Allium's face flushed the color of her hair and she laughed nervously, "T-that's jumping to conclusions a lil' bit, don't you think?"
Wisty gasped and clasped her hands together, excitedly bouncing and sticking her hand out to Allium. "Oh, goodness, hello! I'm Wisteria Glasglow--you can call me just about anything you'd like though--although Crystal probably already told you that, didn't she?" Her accent had become more prominent in her excitement. "Oh, I'm also a light halfling. What about you?"
Allium took her hand and shook it firmly, now smiling. "Allium, fire-water hybrid. No human in me."

Crysia, in the beginning, had the intention to hold back from Jackson--she technically had no reason to see him as an enemy--so that she could instead calm Reign down, but when the binding was released she bared her fangs at him and let her mouth run. "Sure, pretty boy, see what happens when your mother realizes that you've gotten one of her main guard dogs hurt." She ground her teeth together before speaking her next sentence, realizing that she was beginning to talk like Lucifer. A chill ran up her spine and she shook him off her mind.
"Hell, do you think either of us cares about whatever holy antics you're up to?" She ignored Reign's furious growling in favor of watching Jackson, still racking her brain of any memories of him from the past. She had only a handful of them, but from what she could remember they were on neutral terms.

Evie followed a tad bit awkwardly, her eyes scanning through the small flocks of students on every other area of the street. The parlor seemed to be ignored by the students, with a majority of them loitering about the café or that one fancy bakery Evie didn't remember the name of. She had, admittedly, never noticed Georgie's--her eyes had always glossed over it--but was pleasantly surprised by the interior design. It was fresh but homely (and a little bit cold, which she enjoyed).
Evie took a peek at the arrangement of flavors, her eyes brightening like a young child. "What would you recommend?" She asked Elliot, still skimming the menu.

Sakura was momentarily distracted by her brother, curious by his creativity. He acted a lot tougher than he was. She trotted towards the dandelion that she had seen from the distance and plucked it off of the ground, trotting back to Hazel and dropping it by her paws.

Crysia mentally huffed, her annoyance growing with each second. I'm sure your mother would have an interesting stance on you owning territory, she thought, taking it back when she remembered how loving the Queen was when it came to her son. Her eyes tracked Jackson as he walked forward, still unable to speak.

Wisty twirled her fingers around her closed fist, luminescent spell circles blooming on her skin. She flipped her fist, her concentration minimal, and opened it to reveal a small butterfly made of light particles. It was a spell that she had spent months trying to learn when she was young and was now able to do as if it were easy as a breath. She put a stop to her reminiscence upon hearing the footsteps coming from the hallway. The butterfly disappeared and she focused for a bit before realizing that there were two sets of footsteps. Wisty stood up and walked towards the door, opening it for Crystal and whoever she had brought with her.

The sight of Jackson seemed to immediately exasperate Crysia. The Queen she was fine with, but her son was a different story; she had seen him more than twice in the same week and she was getting a bit annoyed. Next to her Reign was breathing raggedly with infuriation--if he weren't paralyzed, he'd be doing something reckless--and seemed to tense. Crysia waited, unable to speak, her brain spinning with thoughts and insults.

Jack nodded--although it was more of a reluctant dip of the chin than anything--even though he had only taken the Skyways once or twice. He'd never had anywhere to go, and when he did move from area to area it was on a whim and almost entirely on foot.
As long as it gets me as far away as possible, he thought to himself, glancing at Crystal and stomaching the fact that she was a complete stranger. He trusted her, more so than any stranger he'd met so far, but he was always one to make irrational decisions and then forget them immediately. Jack tilted his chin back up, suppressed his regret, and kept navigating through the crowd.

Allium's eyes glittered with sudden interest and she nodded energetically. "Yeah, that'd be great!" She said, her last lingering bit of hesitancy gone; she had always forgiven easily. She waited for Crystal to start walking and stayed next to her, still unsure of whose room was whose.

(THIS IS A VERY UNSPECIFIC TIME SKIP OO)
"Belle, I don't think this is necessary... I mean, at least some basic hospitality..." Dawn pursed her lips, frustrated, and looked over at Justin's unconscious body. She looked over at Jasper with eyes that pleaded him to back her up, but he simply shrugged. He was levitating on the small spirals of wind that he had cast beneath himself, his legs crossed and his body only occasionally bobbing.
"Yeah, but in the case that he wakes up as the wrong person--or the same person, actually--he could be unstable. And that's too much destruction and Fantasy-ness for this cottage to handle." Belle spun a dagger masterfully, avoiding eye contact.

(no lol,, he's been clinging to ivy ever since they met)
Elliot flushed and crossed his arms, not quite sure how to react to Dexter's cynicalness. He quite clearly still believed in the hermit, but he had miles to go before he could convince Evie (and maybe Oliver) to stay on their sides. The two Luxes were, admittedly, not the friendliest, but they were fierce and it would be nice to fight with them rather than against them. Evie still stared at him with intense, challenging eyes and a somewhat laid-back pose.
He huffed, his cheeks still pink, and looked at Evie somewhat pleadingly. "You can leave if you want, but I really think you'd have more of a chance staying with us."
She glanced up at Oliver for a moment before shrugging and uttering a simple "Sure."
