“I say we need to put as much distance between us and the masked man as possible. I don’t think wandering aimlessly will do us any good either.. maybe we’ll head to the next community? We should also er... familiarize ourselves with the outsiders’s ways. I can ask the wind to keep an eye out for anyone who might be coming after us in the meantime.” 7 paused before continuing “or we could stay and hide.. and when we’re ready, dispose of the troops sent after us before moving on. It’ll take some time for the masked man to know of his troop’s mishaps I’m thinking, and when he does we’ll be far gone.” 7 hoped the masked man didn’t have many connections to the outside world... if he did then it’d be difficult to go unnoticed or to not have anyone chasing them no matter where they went. 7 shook her head; no, I’m just thinking about it to hard. “If anyone else has a better idea though... I’m all ears.”

7 scurried outside before the lady could pick up the phone. She was bummed that they didn’t learn much, and what they did was practically useless as they didn’t have ‘money’. Whatever that was anyhow. Buffy was silent as they considered their options.. they could try and find a place to stay without needing money, but even if they did there was no guarantee that they wouldn’t be found. 7 was sure the masked man had many tricks up his sleeve. Just standing out in the open didn’t do any good either. She waited for everyone else to join her so they could plan their next move. 7 already had a few ideas.

	"Alright, thank you!" 7 ignored the others except to give them a sour glare before walking off in the direction of the city hall. She was mildly annoyed. As soon as they heard some new outsider term they acted like complete fools. What happened to 'act normal'? But it was only to be expected she supposed. At least they didn't say anything too extreme. "Oh uh, we're.. new to the area. So you could say lost. Just trying to find a place to stay!" 7 smiled and any tiredness she had in her expression and posture disappeared. She avoided the ladder question as she wasn't quite sure what a 'tourist' was. "why do you ask?" she knew that not everyone was as trusting as she was but if they could get at least some knowledge of the outsiders' ways then they'd be so much better off.

"Does he know where we're going or where we are though? We don't know when we separated, maybe he doesn't know about Walmart? Even if he did I doubt he knows which Walmart. I'm pretty sure there are tons of them! That being said I doubt he'll turn us in... but what if it's a trap orrr you'll just end up getting captured instead?" 7 was more concerned about loosing another troop rather than the boy turning them in. He didn't even look half as smart to pretend he wanted to help the escapees. And if he truly wanted to re-capture them he would have acted on it at the hut. "let's be smart about this. Maybe I can ask the wind to look for him first? But only after we're safe and hidden." 7 disliked the idea of leaving the boy out there yes, but patience and preservation is key. They couldn't risk acting recklessly.

"Walmart!" 7 took a moment to look over her party before moving on. Some had visible unease, noticeably so did 5. Although 5 tried to hide it 7 was an adept face reader. But now wasn't the time to comfort each other. Besides, 7 was worried just as much herself. She had to stay calm though. Especially if she needed to ask the sky spirits something.
"Wait- where's the uh.. boy?" 7 was obviously surprised that they had managed to leave one behind.

"Right.. well I've only ever heard of them, but I'll try," 7 slowed down into a brisk pace taking the lead "this way."
She followed a stone path which she had heard the sky spirits call 'sidewalk'. Occasionally she would stray to the side to let an outsider pass and in these interactions she couldn't help but stare. Massive mechanical beasts who traveled down the larger stone path with other outsiders trapped within them also took her interest. They were called 'cars' she recalled. But she had to focus. It didn't take long until a large building with an even larger stone lot with the word 'Walmart' plastered against the wall came into view. She stopped to look behind her "almost there!"

7 hissed back at 5 "you have had over 400 escape attempts and you're asking me now how to blend in??.. Just try to act like you're not being chased?? I don't know, I'd imagine the outsiders wouldn't be too different from us."
7 frantically scanned her memories for anything that could help them. That was when she recalled a story from the clouds. "In the outsider communities there are often these big buildings called.. walmart I think? Loads of people go in there all the time, it's super strange! But uh.. if we find one we can hide in there, I think it's pretty normal for someone to rush into a walmart?"

"Right then." 7 replied. Although she didn't show it, the idea of going to the outsider's community worried her deeply. So many problems could arise from going. One issue was that there would be eye witnesses who could tell the guards where they went. None of them barely knew anything about the outsiders either. What if the outsiders turned them in to the masked man?
No. It's best not to think about it. It's not like there was anywhere else to go.. except deeper into the woods. But there was nothing there for them except forest, and more likely than not, no clean water or proper shelter either. Besides, safety in numbers right? They could blend in and hide with the local population. This got 7 thinking of all the stories the wind had brought for her. She had always longed to see the outside world for herself, and now she was here! It was... exhilarating. Still though, she couldn't shake the feeling of dread for what the consequences could be if they were to be caught. She ran faster.

7 woke up with a startle. Although her nap had been cut short to maybe 15 minutes, she at least felt better. She could also feel the urgency in the air and wasted no time running after everyone else. 7 awkwardly found her footing on the decaying floorboards and kicked herself out of the shack, nearly falling over in the process. She quickly caught up to them. "Do you know where we're going?" 7 asked no one in particular.

	7 stumbled to a stop and bent over panting with a hand on the shack for support. "R-right... thanks. I think I need to sit down." She got up and walked inside before slumping against the wall, "well.. wake me if anything happens, kid. Gotta.. er.. recharge" 7 yawned. The whole ordeal left her pretty drained. [Read more]

7 seeing the panic 5 was causing took the chance for her own. She got up and barked an unintelligible command to the weather before dashing to the fence, not bothering to hide her speech. She leaped over the fence with the winds giving her a push and scattering leaves in her wake. She fell, rolled, and stumbled back up before breaking into a sprint at full speed. She was running purely on adrenaline.
7 didn't have a plan.. but she knew she wouldn't have a second chance.

	7 was already up and about, and drained as usual. She was back at her tree, a favorite spot of hers. This time she sat cross legged and had her arms behind her head like a pillow. 7 was wide awake and sitting on her bed. Her nap earlier now made it impossible to fall asleep. Instead she instead listened to the sounds of the night. Bugs chirping, frogs croaking.. and of course her peers' interactions.
7 figured she ought to ask the sky spirits if they saw anything in the morning. It was too risky to go out there on her own, besides, she didn't actually side with anyone (yet) so going out just to spy would just get them suspicious.

7 yawned and put away her book. She stood, stretched again and left for her bed. Now would be a good time to take a nap she decided. Sleeping was the one thing she could find solace in. Not even her storm friends as they never understood the feelings of a human. Not that she was particularly distressed at the moment, but was just tired. Sometimes however she would occasionally get moods or be stressed out over something silly.

7 was very good at eavesdropping (especially with her sky friends having eyes everywhere) and listened in on 5, Kaida, and now Marasaki out of curiosity’s sake. Meet after dark eh? Like the dark could stop prying eyes. Besides a baby dragon and an army of dead rodents wouldn’t break you out. Still though... there was always a chance.
7 stretched before whispering to the wind a quick few lines. She then took a small book titled “Watership Down” from her pocket and began to read.
