Name: Channing Adkins Age: (15-18) 17 Powers: Molecular Immobilization & Molecular Combustion: the ability to slow down molecules to the point where they move so slowly that objects and people appear completely motionless, simulating the stoppage of time in a localized range, dubbed as "freezing", and speed up molecules to the point where they explode, dubbed as "blasting", "blowing up". Both results are triggered by the same hand movement of extending his fingers outwards with Molecular Immobilization being triggered by panic or fear and Molecular Combustion being triggered by anger. He's a little loose as to which one activates when he wants it to at the moment, so he tries not to use either at risk of blowing things up by accident :p Appearance: Channing stands at 5"10" and has a slightly athletic build. He has olive skin and light brown eyes with a few freckles on his face. He also has a small scar that goes across the arch of his right eyebrow. He has wavy, naturally dark brown, almost black, hair that reaches down just above his collarbone and sometimes sports it in a messy bun or ponytail if he gets lazy. He is typically seen wearing plain colored t-shirt, preferring to sport yellow or a light blue tucked into his pinrolled, belted at the waist blue jeans and high-top sneakers. Pet? On the other hand, I personally don't agree with your argument, RichKid. Yes, some Retro Pokemon have Shiny Mega variants. Simply making them able to breed for their non-Retro counterparts I can't say would make their shinies or megas "easier" to hatch. They're just breeding and have the same luck-based chance of producing a shiny or mega than their non-Retro's breeding pairs. It should also be noted that to create a "perfect" breeding pair, they would need to have the same Pokedex number, so you would need two Retro Pokemon of the same species for the highest odds of breeding. Chapter 01: GameplanKendall stands outside of his mother’s house in the rain, sighing in having felt defeated. ‘How could he have done this? Betray his family, band together with a bunch of demons and warlocks, and now this?’ the witch thought to himself. ‘Now mom and the other Elders give me this-- power buff because they’re scared we won’t be able to fix this without it.’ He stared at the familiar house, not having returned in nearly a year following him moving out and getting an apartment with his boyfriend, Matt, on the other side of town. Behind him was the sound of a car door closing and the doors locking with an accompanied “Beep!”, Matt walking up to him holding an umbrella. “C’mon, Bambi, you’ll catch a cold if you just stand out here.” Matt cooed, now holding the umbrella over the two of them and ushering them to the front porch. Upon reaching the front door, Kendall groaned. “I don’t wanna go in.” he pouted, taking a few steps back as Matt closed the umbrella before shaking it off. “I don’t think your Mom’ll really give us a choice in the matter, babe.” Matt retorted. As soon as Matt’s sentence ended, a creak of the front door could be heard as it was opened from the inside, Katherine standing in the threshold with a small smile. “It’s good to see you again, Matt. Thank you for bringing Kenji here all in one piece.” she greeted. “A pleasure to be here, Ms. Roman.” Matt smiled. Kendall forced a small smile before pushing past his mother to get inside the foyer. The couple removed their wet coats, hanging them on the coat hanger behind the door, and removed their shoes. “Your friend is already here, Kenji. I was afraid to let you know though. You probably would have made Matt drive slower if I rushed you.” Katherine revealed, Kendall’s gaze fixing into the living room as she spoke. The witch cocked his head to the side some as he tried to make out who’d been sitting perkily on the couch. “What’s the matter? You don’t recognize me without the braces and acne anymore?” she spat, flicking her sleek ponytail behind her shoulder in the process. “Chloe?” Kendall questioned, the female smiling with a giggle in response, jumping up from the couch to hug him. “It’s been a while. I didn’t even know you were--” Kendall started. “A witch? Yeah, me neither honestly. I guess I came into my powers late or something and the next thing you know, your mom's in my bedroom letting me know about my new destiny or whatever.” After a bit of giggling between the two, Matt quietly cleared his throat to get Kendall’s attention. “Oh, sorry. Matt, this is one of my friends from middle school, Chloe. Chloe, this is my boyfriend, Matt.” he introduced. “Nice to meet you.” Matt smiled, holding out a hand to shake. “Oh-- I- ‘A witch’. ‘De-Destiny’. ‘Powers’. I wa- I- I meant ‘A bi-” Chloe stammered nervously, fearing the risk of exposure. “Dude, he’s half-Whitelighter.” Kendall interrupted. Chloe sighed in relief, laughing awkwardly afterwards. “Phew, thank God. I was afraid I just let a mortal know about the big secret.” she chuckled nervously. “Funny of you to think I wouldn’t tell my boyfriend that I live with I’m a witch to begin with…” Kendall muttered. “Okay!” Katherine called, grabbing the attention of the three of them. “Let’s talk: Gameplan.” At the sound of that, Kendall, Matt and Chloe all took different seats amongst them. “Koda won’t just be sitting around waiting for you to come vanquish him and it certainly won’t bring the world back either considering there’s other magic and leadership involved in this.” Katherine stated, Kendall grumbling at her choice of words. “Mom, you’re talking about him like he’s not my brother. I don’t want to kill Chuchi.” Kendall barked. “You may not have a choice if he tries to kill the three of you first.” his mother answered coldly. “That’s another point: He won’t hesitate to kill you. In fact, I’m sure he’s been able to sense the increase in power within you all and considering I’m the only Elder with a family, it would be wise of him to assume we gave this power to, at the very least, Kendall.” she added, taking a seat to relieve her feet from pacing back and forth. “How? He can’t tap into my powers, how would he sense a shift in magic?” Kendall questioned, running his hand through his hair as he spoke. “He may not be intuitive like you, Kenji, but there’s definitely a high possibility that he’s working with a Seer or an Oracle.” After a bit of silence, Katherine cleared her throat to revert the attention away from the trio’s various thoughts and fears back to the task at hand. “You will need to vanquish every and any demon, warlock or otherwise evil entity you come across.” Katherine instructed. “I mean… eventually Koda’ll have to come out of his hideout to challenge us because of it, right?” Matt theorized, Katherine nodding in agreement. “Between the three of you, Matt, you will need to pick and choose your battles very carefully and very defensively. Short a Darklighter, you win ‘Most Likely to Survive’ and you’re the only one with healing powers at the moment.” Katherine instructed. “I apologize, Ms. Roman, but that’s not really my style.” he retorted, Katherine cocking her head at this. Chloe shrunk back into the couch some, her Empathy power triggering to sense Katherine had grown upset at Matt’s statement. “Mom, please. He can handle a Darklighter or two.” Kendall piped up before Katherine could speak. Katherine glared at Kendall then back at Matt before puffing up her chest, still visibly annoyed at this. “Very well then,” she cleared her throat, “The first mission I’m sending you three on is to capture one of Koda’s henchmen.” Katherine revealed, hovering her hand over a pyrite crystal to activate a hologram showing a map of the United States with various dots of red light emitting from various points. “This map shows spikes in evil magical activity and, luckily, this spike is only about an hour away. We don’t know much about the henchmen nor do we know much about Koda’s plan, so capturing them would be the best option to reel information out of them, maybe even using Chloe’s power of Empathy to trigger some sort of… ‘truth serum’.” Katherine explained, Chloe scrunching her face evidently not having liked the idea whatsoever. After a bit of silence and awkward glances between the four of them, Katherine stood up with a smile. “Good luck!” she cheered, causing stammers between the Chosen Ones. “Whoawhoawhoawhoa-- ‘Good luck’?” Chloe questioned as the three of them stood up concurrently. “Yeah, Good luck.” Katherine smiled. “The three of you already got that whole group together thing going on, you all stood up at the same time.” she commented. “Ms. Roman, you expect us to go into unknown demonic territory with no pretenses or information about the enemy other than there’s a spike of evil activity there?” Matt questioned. Katherine nodded at Matt’s question, looking at her son afterwards. “Well, there’s no better way to see if you guys can actually do this save the world thing other than throwing you in unprepared, right? Besides, Kenji knows a lot of the spells and potions from our Book of Shadows.” she mentioned. “What if they’re immune to spells and charms?” Kendall asked. “Well then you better figure something out!” Katherine smiled, grabbing a potion vial from the table and tossing it on the ground. In the process, a cloud of smoke rose from the ground, making the trio take a few steps back as they wafted the air surrounding them. Once the smoke subsided, Katherine was gone. Each of the Chosen Ones had different thoughts racing through their minds: Kendall was dreading the possibility that he would be killed by Koda or, worse, have to kill him; Matt was worried about going into battle without any information about their enemy and ultimately protecting Kendall and himself in case he needed to heal either of them… He didn’t really care too much about Chloe at the moment considering they just met, but probably protect her too; Chloe was fearful of losing her life and her powers, telling herself she’d been too young to die and had a whole life ahead of her. “I hate. Being. A witch.” Chloe barked, storming out of the living room after she spoke. The Age of DarknessSo a couple of months ago I started a (now dead) Roleplay called the Age of Darkness. This will somewhat follow the same plot but instead of universally be magical, it will be set in the Charmed Universe (which has been my favorite show since I was ten years old). I will include links to the Charmed Wikia for things some may not really understand, but hopefully you all enjoy it and take the time to read it even if you don't really understand the Charmed aspects of it. tbh i just feel like i had a story to tell between the family :ouhhhh i wont really have a set schedule bc my irl schedule is very hectic but i'll try to get content out regularly. feedback & comments are welcome and appreciated :D also this is my first time trying to write a fanfic so take it easy on me thx <3 uhhh i was gonna write the first chapter before i went to sleep but im super tired so i will have it up prob sometime soon A group of powerful demons and evil witches have taken over the world and corrupted it into a darkness. He grunted some, standing up with his hands still bound. "Any of you gonna help or am I doing this alone?" he barked, noticing someone else's car had arrived at the scene. He stomped back inside, opening his hands to try to push back Valerie telekinetically, though with his hands constricted, he wasn't able to aim at anything successfully unless he channeled the power through his eyes. "Calling for backup? What's the matter, pretty boy? Not as powerful as you think you are?" Valerie taunted. Kendall rolled his eyes at the statement, scoffing as he did so. "I'd have a better chance of doing anything if you hadn't handcuffed me." he stated, though finding he said it somewhat pointlessly considering she probably already knew that. "Oh? I thought you could do that ugly squinting thing at me the entire time instead." she spat. "Like you said, it's not good looking for me. I have an image to uphold." he shot back. Valerie had apparently grown bored of the back-and-forth exchange between them, charging towards Kendall and kicking him directly in the face. He'd stumbled back from the force, wincing as he felt a sting accompanied with a bit a blood coming from his cheek. He swore under his breath, trying to use sheer force to break out of the handcuffs instead with no success. In this time, Valerie had retrieved the dagger from the ground and Kendall immediately felt the cold blade meeting his Adam's apple. "Do so much as swallow and you die." she threatened, licking her lips in ecstasy at the power-play moment she'd been experiencing at the moment. Kendall stood completely still, looking down at Valerie with the knife pressed against his throat. He could do one of two things: try to channel his power through his eyes and knock her back, or try to swiftly pull himself away. He didn't know how fast she would react, so the former seemed to be the better option, though he had to consider if she had merely seen a shift in his eyes she would probably catch on and slit his throat open. So the latter option was what was attempted. He'd quickly pulled away from the knife while lifting his knee to jab Valerie in the abdomen, though as he'd pulled back, she managed to gash right above his collarbone. Kendall exclaimed as he felt his skin break behind the knife, swearing some more afterwards. At the force of Kendall's knee into her abdomen, Valerie had hunched over in pain. [Read more] |

The ride there wasn't too terrible, only finding himself having to ask Lauri to pull over once and prompting him to take another set of painkillers to try to remedy his hangover. He sat in the car some to mentally prepare for the attack. "Try not to kill her." he reminded himself after his mother ordered the group to bring her back alive. "Let's go." he said after exhaling, feeling a bit of an adrenaline rush. Walking a bit down the sidewalk, he stopped at the front of the building they were supposed to infiltrate. "I doubt it'll be easy to find her in there, this thing's like-- six stories tall." he commented, waving one of his fingers to fling the doors open before stepping inside the building. "I assume you're the group that's come for me?" Valerie asked seeing Kendall step inside, sitting one of the couches facing the entrance. "I guess I was wrong." Kendall corrected, taking a few steps back not entirely sure what sort of attacks she would have. Valerie squinted at Kendall, trying to make out his facial features but had a bit of a hard time behind his sunglasses he was wearing. "Your sunglasses, please." she called, extending her hand as she spoke. At the end of her sentence, Kendall's sunglasses seemingly faded off of his face behind a layer of black orbs before the same black orbs appeared in the palm of Valerie's hand with the sunglasses on her hand immediately following. "Oh, you must be the baby brother. You and Koda look a lot alike, he's just a bit hotter than you. I could still go for you though. That is, if you like bad girls." Valerie flirted, rising from the couch in the process. "Sorry, I play for the other team." Kendall shot. Without hesitating, Kendall quickly formed a ball of electricity in his palm and launched it towards Valerie. This sudden attack took her by surprise, not giving her enough time to call for it, though instinctively throwing the pair of sunglasses to meet its trajectory. Upon impact, the ball of electricity faded and Kendall's sunglasses disintegrated. "Those were my favorite sunglasses." he barked, throwing two more electro balls at Valerie. The assassin ran towards them before pivoting her body, activating her levitation to flip herself over them and land in front of Kendall where she immediately went for an extended kick aimed directly for his head. Kendall raised his left arm to block the kick, though found her strength was either more than he anticipated or he was off his game due to his hangover as the force of the kick caused him to hit himself in the side of the face. Before Valerie could stand on both feet again, he ducked while extending one of his legs before spinning, pulling Valerie's other leg off the ground and causing her to fall onto the ground with a thud. "Not bad, kid." Valerie complimented, her body lifting off the ground by activating her levitation. She bent over and quickly drew her dagger from her boot before throwing it towards Kendall. Taken by surprise, he extended both of his hands outwards while gasping to telekinetically stop the knife's travel. Valerie smirked at this, using her power to call a pair of handcuffs and have them now cuffing Kendall's hand. As his hands were bound, the knife dropped to the floor. Valerie chuckled, stepping up to Kendall. "Y'know... handcuffs aren't a bad look on you..." she commented, Kendall snarling at that. "The thing with you telekinetics is that you all rely too much on having that space between yourself and your opponent. Bind your hands and you guys are just-- useless." she noted while walking in circles around Kendall. "Are you sure about that?" Kendall asked, Valerie turning towards him. "Not my worst, but not my best either. And I think I have some Ibuprofen in my glove box..." Kendall answered. As they neared his maroon Audi, he pressed the unlock button twice to unlock all of the doors before gently tossing his keys towards Larry. "I trust you driving more than I would trust myself at the moment. Plus with me in the driver's seat, there's no telling how often we'll be pulling over for me to puke." he told him as he open the passenger door. He leaned on the car some, resting his arm on the top of the car as his eyes were fixated on Larry and his movements. He sighed again, quietly clearing his throat afterwards. "Hey," he called to get the male's attention, "Thanks for looking out for me last night. I really do appreciate it." Kayleigh had watched the encounter between Kendall and Lauri as they grew further in the distance, not able to pick up on anything being said because of surrounding background noise. She watched Kendall as he leaned against his car, snarling some at his apparent fondness of Lauri. "Chop chop, people, we don't have all the time in the world to bring back one assassin! Get to know each other during the ride. Figure out how to use not only your powers, but your other assets in this attack as well!" she shouted. "And, no, Kendall, I don't mean your body parts, either!" The added comment from his mother made Kendall roll his eyes, the only cue of this behind his sunglasses was the smacking of his lips accompanying it. [Read more] |
