"Excuse me, what?!" Demi shrieked. "Like heck I'm doing that, y-you psycho! S-stay back!" She backed up further, only to wind up in a corner.

The sound of the other student's laughter sent shivers down Demi's spine, and her anger quickly gave way to fear. Something was really off about this guy, and now, here she was, stuck in a room with him. Slowly, Demi backed away from the student. Her hands were held up in defense as electric currents swirled around them, ready to be blasted at any moment.

"L-look, just let me go, okay?!" She shouted. "I d-don't wanna make any trouble."

"What do you mean 'what's wrong with me?!' What kind of sick joke -" She gestured up to the broken floorboard. "-Is this supposed to be?!" Demi was about to continue, but she suddenly she was hit by a wave of dizziness, knocking the wind out of her. Great, the fall had probably gotten her a concussion. Rubbing her temples, Demi slowly began limping past the student, hoping to find a way out. She just wanted to go back to her dorm, and maybe the infirmary, if this school even had one.

Her expression darkened significantly once she heard the student's voice. He played her for a fool again! Electricity began swirling around Demi's fingers as her anger festered. She struggled to her feet, despite the protests from her aching body.

"What the heck is wrong with you?!" She screeched.

Stepping on one of the floor boards, Demi let out a shriek as it gave out from beneath her. She fell onto the ground with a loud 'THUD'.

"Ow..." Demi groaned. She tried to push herself up, but sudden wave of pain made her collapse onto the hard, cold floor once more.

About to turn away, Demi suddenly gasped at the streams of crimson flowing out from under the door. A thick, metallic scent hit her nose, and she felt like she was going to be sick. In a split second, the door to the basement was flung open, and Demi was trying her best to sneak down the stairs. Her hands were charged with flowing, violet sparks, just in case.

"A-alright." Demi replied softly, her cheeks now a flustered red. Why did she always say such stupid stuff? Shaking her head, the teen ran to the basement once again. Now standing in front of the door, she reached out to open it, but paused. This was quickly turning into a big case of deja-vu, wasn't it? And if it was, why was she just okay with it, especially considering what happened last time.

Demi took a step back from the door, her eyes narrowing at it. Yeah, something was definitely off about this whole situation, she just wasn't quite sure what.

Demi jumped at the sudden voice behind her. Turning around, she saw another student, one she was sure she hadn't met before.

"W-wait, you hear it too?" Demi asked.

After a few more moments of looking around, Demi finally stepped out into the hall. She could still hear the cries for help loud and clear, and yet there was no one in the hallway to be responsible for them.

"What kind of sick joke is this?" She muttered.

Biting her lip, Demi tried her hardest to ignore the noise. With every passing moment, the cries grew louder and more severe. "Don't do it, don't you dare go out there. " she thought, but the cries had morphed into all out screams of agony. It was growing too much for her conscience to take. It..it wouldn't hurt to just look, would it?

"Dang it." She muttered, standing up from her desk. She ran over to the door, and after opening it a crack, peeked outside. The hallway was empty.

Demi was just beginning to doze, when a sudden noise snapped her awake. It was crying, just like last time. However, unlike last time, the teen remained still in her seat. "Not again." She muttered. "Not again." However, it was obvious that her conscious was having at least a small effect on her. Nevertheless, she made no effort to get up.

After a few minutes, Demi began to grow bored. She mindlessly drummed her fingers on the desk, while a sudden wave of exhaustion fell over her, causing her eyes to droop. What on earth was taking her teacher so long?

Still grumbling to herself, Demi wandered down the hall, back to her classroom. Heading through the door, she went straight to her desk, where she proceeded to collapse Into her chair. She just wanted class to start, so she could forget about this whole "incident".

"Dumb?!" Demi replied through gritted teeth. A few sparks could be seen dancing around her fingertips. She opened her mouth to defend herself, but the student had already ascended up the stairs, and she heard the door shut behind him. She stood there for a few moments, staring blankly at the staircase. Then, she let out a loud, frustrated growl. How could she be so...so...stupid?! Shaking her head, the teen walked towards, then up the stairs, grumbling and muttering to herself to whole time.

Demi felt her cheeks flush in embarrassment, and she suddenly found the floor very interesting to look at. "W-well...I uh...um.." She mentally cursed at her stuttering, took a deep breath, and tried again.
"M-my name's Demi.." She finally muttered.

As she got closer to the bottom, Demi could hear the sounds of tools whirring and clanking against metal, like someone was tinkering with something. Was it the hero down there, sabatoging the machinery? But then why did she hear crying? Once she got to the final step, Demi pressed up against the wall, and cautiously peeked around the corner. A boy came into view, looking to be trying to fix something. Demi raised an eyebrow. Was he who was crying earlier?

Demi ran down the hallway with some of the other students, only to slow down when she heard a sound coming from behind a closed door. It sounded like....crying? She stopped in front of the door, and bit her lip. Part of her said to keep going, after all, she was trying to become a villain, right? Compassion and pity aren't villainous traits! But, something gnawed at the back of her mind, something that made her turn the doorknob. Just as she did though, the other side went dead silent , and Demi felt her blood run cold. Without thinking, she flung the door open and descended down the staircase.

Demi hopped up from her seat and rushed for the door. Opening it with a soft click, she peeked out into the hallway. The crowd of students filling it made her internally cringe. However, if there was going to be an all out brawl in the school, there was no way she was getting caught in the middle of it. So, the teen took a deep breath, and shuffled out into the hall with the others.

A room with a sign hanging above it saying "Teams" came into Demi's view, and she skidded to a halt. She took a moment to catch her breath, then headed through the door. Immediately, she took notice that there were two people already inside the classroom. Grimacing, she quietly slipped towards the back, taking a seat at one of the desks.

Feeling something bolt past her, Demi's eyes finally left her phone. She looked up just in time to see a man hastily running through the hallway. 'Must be one of the teachers', she thought. 'But wait, if he was so panicked about being late to class, then...'Demi's eyes darted to the time on her phone, only to widen in panick. Stuffing the device in her pocket, she broke out into a run towards the classroom. There was absolutely no way she was going to be late on the first day!
