	I've noticed that a few sprites such as Overqwill, Tandemaus etc. are shared with Pokemon Showdown. I'm really curious who did the sprites here, forgive me if this has been stated elsewhere but so far I've not found any specific credits. It mostly makes me wonder because those sites have small icons for them while this site doesn't heh, but I'm also just generally curious. [Read more]

What is this?

To get some context, if folks haven't heard of this, early builds of pokemon were often shown at gaming conventions, such as Spaceworld. Linked below is the bulbapedia page covering the 1997 demo, and the cutting room floor page covering the 1999 demo's pokemon.

I think it'd be interesting to incorporate designs from these old versions into pokeheroes, because we have retro pokemon already, and these are cool additional things that could go alongside 'em.

I'm not suggesting every pokemon from this list should be added, but more that standout ones from the list would be interesting to see.

Some examples

Some fan favourites include Wooper from the '99 demo, and Pichu and Porygon2 from the '97 demo, shown below.

These ones would be less tricky to implement, as they'd make for event or "beta" versions of already pre-existing pokemon, and could share the existing pokedex numbers.

The following however would be more tricky, especially in regards to pokedex numbers, so I'd understand not including them, but alternate pokemon evolutions or prevolutions exist due to the demo as well.

For example, evolutions for Qwilfish and Ditto.

And prevolutions for Doduo and Tangela.

How could these be included?

Of course this is down to how Riako and the others want to run the site, but some ways might be:

A) An occasional event pokemon based off the old design.
The easiest way it could be done, as it's not much commitment and just throwing a bone for them every now and then.

B) Rumble areas
Either you're given a way to access it as part of an event, or it's unlocked after a point, could go multiple ways.

C) Form changing method
Perhaps it could be something like an item that changes them, or an interaction with Missingno, the latter could even help give something for spare Missingnos to do, as shiny hunting usually leads to a bunch sitting around that you can't trade or anything.

TL:DR

The exact implementation method isn't too important to what I'm suggesting, mainly I just think seeing these old designs represented in some way on the site would be pretty neat!

	Currently it's a pain to have to disable the animations on the golden slots each time. I think it'd be nice if it saved your settings so I wouldn't have to do that extra click and page load each time. [Read more]
