I want this room to be more than just a dark cave with no color. Blizzard's POV*Blizzard sat up quickly and heard something from a nearby hallway. Hearing was always his strongest sense.* Blizzard: Someone just asked out that weird NightWing. Frostbite: *Frostbite practically choked on the piece of chicken he was eating when he heard that the dragon he had a crush on just got asked out by someone else.* What?! *He frantically runs out into the hallway and trips over his tail as he does so, hitting his snout on the floor and startling Stargazer and the others. Star practically falls over in surprise at his sudden entrance, and Blizzard yells something from the prey center.* Blizzard: Don't make yourself look dumb, Frostbite! *He hears the IceWing fall on his face and snickers.* Too late. *He sees Toucan walk in and gives him a subtle wave as a greeting. *Stargazer listens to the mental conversation between Nova and Snowstroller, wanting to chime in but resisting the urge for her own sake. She manages to focus her attention back on the verbal conversation going on and tries to ignore the thoughts of most of the dragons around her, but the number of them is giving her a bit of a headache. The young NightWing waves at Toucan and turns to face the LeafWing hybrid.* Stargazer, to Helianthus: H-hi. I'm Stargazer, who are you? Frostbite/Blizzard's POVFrostbite, angrily: Why are chickens so hard to catch?! They're just dumb birds that can't even fly! Blizzard, tearing a piece of meat off of a pig: Maybe you're just bad at hunting. Frostbite: I am not bad at hunting! I'm just not used to trying to catch chickens instead of seals. [Read more] |

Blizzard: 12! *Blizzard snorts at Aloe with a tone of frustration and walks to check where his next class is. As he does so, Axolotl walks into the history classroom and sits down. She's excited to meet her teacher, and her tail tip is tapping on the floor anxiously. Blizzard: Wait, which winglet am I in again? Frostbite: Uhhhh, I think we have history next? …"Frosty one"?! Frostbite: I'll admit, I'm glad me and Star are in the same winglet. N-not out loud, of course. *Axolotl flinches at the idea of the creepy mask being associated with trauma, but she tries not to seem rude and does a thumbs up. She flashes a few of the scales on her face as well. Axolotl: C-cool. *Blizzard notices Snowstroller's appearance and breaks his usual bravado of pride and calmness by nearly tripping over his own tail and yelling, "AGH, DARKSTALKER!!", which makes Frostbite burst out laughing because of the unexpected moment.* Stargazer's POV*Stargazer frowns at seeing how sad Aloe looks and the fact that Nova still seems mad at him. She wants to help fix it, but she's not sure how. She hears the sound of Frostbite laughing in the not-so-far off distance and giggles to herself.* [Read more] |

Frostbite: Animus dragons are… special. They, uh… They can enchant things to do stuff, basically. Like how the ice palace is enchanted to never break, or how the Dreamvisitors are enchanted to work the way they do, but if an animus uses too much of their power, they lose their soul. That's what happened to Queen Diamond, she enchanted multiple things that she wasn't supposed to and went crazy. Axolotl/Blizzard's POV*Axolotl didn't like hearing about animus magic driving dragons insane, because it made her worry about her own soul. She hadn't enchanted many objects, but she definitely didn't want to end up like Albatross. She stared at the floor nervously for a few seconds before speaking up.* Axolotl: I… I think I feel bad for her. Blizzard: Nah, don't be. She wasn't a great queen from what I've heard Axolotl: Oh. Frostbite: Well, it's amazing there. There's this beautiful ice palace that never melts or cracks, and the walls reflect the weather outside so you can see snow falling inside or outside. There used to be a rankings wall, but Queen Snowfall destroyed it when she came to power. We would have quite a few animus dragons, but Foeslayer, *he said with a snarl,* stole that from our tribe. Autumn: I'm Autumn, and I'm… Uh, not sure. Maybe my leafspeak is strong enough to resist burns? I'm glad I didn't just burst into flames upon bumping into you. S-sorry about doing that, by the way. Axolotl tried to move into the history classroom but got distracted by Blizzard walking in and started talking to him about animus history, Frostbite walked off to find Blizzard, Blizzard moved into the library, Autumn has been talking to plants around the place (she has leafspeak), and Stargazer saw the argument but didn't want to say anything because she's worried she might say the wrong thing.) Stargazer's POV*Stargazer had been following Aloe and Nova in secret while holding an enchanted rock (she enchanted it to make her invisible while she's holding it.) She still felt bad about seeing the arguement between the two dragons she'd tried to befriend and wanted to fix it, so she stepped out of the view of the hallway, took a deep breath and set the rock down, and walked into the room where Summer and Aloe were.* Stargazer: I tend to say random things too. …S-sorry, I've got a good sense of hearing and couldn't help but overhear- *She twitched back her wings and hoped she didn't just make the conversation awkward by randomly inserting herself into it.* Autumn's POV*Autumn had been kind of just aimlessly wandering the halls up till this point, a bit nervous about all these new dragons, so she'd been talking to the plants around the school. She turned a corner and accidentally bumped into Helianthus, burning a few scales on her side (but quickly healing thanks to her leafspeak).* Autumn, holding her side: Ow! *She hissed through her teeth at the mild pain as the burn marks slowly faded from her scales. She regained her composure (for the most part) and managed to make eye contact with Helianthus, her tail flicking nervously.* I-I'm so story, I didn't know tha- that there was s-someone else in these halls right now- Axolotl/Blizzard's POV*The pair of dragonets were discussing the IceWing animus bloodline in the library, with each asking questions and mentally taking notes. Elsewhere in the library, Starflight was busy carefully organzing scrolls on a shelf, making sure they were each in the right place.* Axolotl: Why did Queen Diamond go insane? Title: HERE TAKE THESE GOOBERS FOR IT TOO PLZ :3Nicknames: Fall Age: 7 Gender: Female Dragon Tribe: LeafWing Appearance: Unlike most LeafWings, Autumn's scales are a mixture of red and orange, and her wing membrane is yellow. She has bright blue eyes & a noticable scar on her right arm (a HiveWing attacked her.) She also wears a bracelet that she tends to fiddle with when she's nervous. Personality: Autumn is easily startled, but aggressive when in danger Backstory: Autumn was almost killed by an adult HiveWing as a dragonet, but her father (Aspen) saved her by strangling them with vines. This attack led her to avoid HiveWings for most of the rest of her life so far, with the only exception being a particularly nice HiveWing dragonet named Hoverfly. Any interesting facts: Autumn loves animals & she can heal any plant with her powerful leafspeak. Picture:  Name: Frostbite Nicknames: Frost, Frosty (But he only lets his baby brother, Iceberg, call him that) Age: 6 Gender: Male Dragon Tribe: IceWing Animus?: Yes Appearance: He has shimmering sky-blue eyes & wings, white scales, & a scar running down his neck. He's usually scowling about something. Personality: He has a quick temper and will easily resort to violence if provoked, but he's trying to be better about empathizing with others. Backstory: Got attacked by a crazy IceWing as a dragonet, which is the reason for his name (he was incredibly young at the time.) That IceWing gave him a big scar on his neck, but he likes to tell others that it's a sign of ferocity. He hasn't told his sister that he's an animus yet, but he's worried to. Any interesting facts: He has a soft spot for polar bears and a taste for blood, but he's not bloodthirsty or vicious. Picture: Name: Blizzard Nicknames: N/A Gender: Male Age: 12 Dragon Tribe: IceWing Animus?: No Appearance: Blizzard is a lot bigger than most IceWings his age, and he has quite a few scars all over his body. He has navy blue eyes, & his left eye has a scar over it. He has a fur scarf that he wears almost constantly as well as a diamond-shaped earring on his left ear. His body is pale light blue, except for the icicle-like spines that run down his back, which are light gray, & his wing membrane is pure white with scattered flecks of gray. His claws & horns are very sharp. Personality: Blizzard is quite observant, and has a keen eye for detail to go with this. He is easily flattered, but also cunning with how he plans things. He doesn't like SkyWings very much for some mysterious reason. Backstory: Blizzard's parents were killed in a battle when he was 2 1/2 years old, so he taught himself how to hunt and survive. Some of his scars may have come from battles with other dragons. Any interesting facts: He has an unnervingly strong sense of hearing, & some of the other IceWings think his earring is enchanted to amplify it. Picture: Name: Axolotl Nicknames: Axo Age: 4 Gender: Female Dragon Tribe: SeaWing Animus?: Yes Appearance: Axolotl is a bright blue SeaWing with red webbing/wing membrane & pink eyes. She's smaller than her twin brother, Eel, but she's smarter than him. Personality: Axolotl is an opportunist when it comes to meeting new dragons. She loves to interact & is usually seen talking to other SeaWings, but she also talks to animals. She also loves collecting seashells. Backstory: N/A (For now...) Any Interesting Facts: As far as anyone knows, the only time she's enchanted something was a bracelet, & she enchanted it so that she could talk to animals while she wears it. She's extremely protective of this bracelet and refuses to let anyone else hold or touch it. Picture:
