Brigette looks at Marcus, confused, before elbowing Clarisse and explaining to her and her alone in a few words the situation.
Clarisse asks out loud: "Do you believe him, whatever he told you?"
"Yes." Is the decisive answer.
"Very well. Either Marcus tells us what he told you, or you'll tell me later." Clarisse states, not expecting a response or excuse.
"But only if you beat me..." taunts Brigette, sticking her tongue out.

She knew he was telling the truth, even though she couldn't be sure herself how she knew it; yet, it was something that contradicted all the Goddess' principles, and even basic common sense. Clarisse looked to Iola: "By the way, wasn't your plan to become the Blue Lions dancer? I mean, magic and swordsmanship can more easily translate, if you'll ever want a more proactive role on the battlefield, into a Mortal Savant rather than a Falcoknight, can't they?"

(By the way, I'd say that all three "champions" for the Houses get their dancer certification, since it gives quite an edge, if a single house has a dancer and the others don't)

I'm not sure about leading them, but just mounting it is a great feat. Last time I tried, I got two hoovemarks on my abdomen for a couple days, hahaha!"

"Well... I'm not sure if it's actually possible... I just relaid to Leaf that mother told me she used to be a War Master for a little while... but she may have lied, or I may have misunderstood what she said" Clarisse herself wasn't that convinced.

Brigette wiped a little stream of tears that was running down her cheek, completely enraptured by Marcus' story: "Wow... that was... that surely was something. You've had a very adventurous life!" She beamed a huge smile, with tears still running down her other cheek.

(I'd love to see Dedue as a teacher, but it's unlikely. Also, I'd say neither Felix nor Ingrid, for obvious reasons. To be fair, I chose Linhardt because he's Hanneman 2.0, and Lysithea because she's the most hardworking student/scholar among the Deer(s?). What about either Mercedes as a physician (a.k.a. Manuela stand-in) or Annette just for teaching?

Side note about the White Heron Cup, I love how they used the "Bard" laguz tribe for the name)
